This game is so bizarre yet so mesmerizing. The fact you can choose to either continue the storyline or just explore the weirdness in your surroundings reminds me a lot of Jazzpunk
I was gonna say, I got a real _Jazzpunk_ vibe from a lot about this. The overall weirdness, the urban setting, the different music coming out of every building... Wouldn't be surprised if it was an influence.
They have other games, Off-Peak and Norwood Suite. If you loved this, you'll love those games too. I will warn you though, Norwood Suite requires a pretty hefty computer to run smoothly...
This game makes me want to buy dreams since I don’t have a pc. I’m sure there are plenty games similar to this one

I may be in the minority but games like this, Quite Soulless, Residents Freakshow, etc. are what make for my favorite Sunday streams.
I agree, I keep trying to find the one where you go into a sewer and there are cultist rats that explode into vivid red meat chunks for forever, but I forgot the title of the game

@@MalcomTidus Feels like I am sometimes. I know Corruptions are probably the most popular Sunday segment Vinny does, but I've personally never been a huge fan.

As a beta tester for this game, and I can only thank Vinny for introducing me to Cosmo D's amazing works. Off-peak and the Norwood Suite were amazing works of art that caused me to follow Cosmo D more closely, and I was sure Vinny was going to LOVE this game even more than the previous two when I tested it last year, with the pizza making and the music and all.
even though i know im gonna love this game from just this video alone, it also makes me excited because of the not-so-little details you notice: two examples being that 1) when making the pizza, depending on what type and how much ingredients you put on, the background music changes. and 2) when you deliver said pizza, the guy lists off your choice of ingredients, as if he really is admiring the detail you put on the pizza.

I think the music is so perfect for this game, because much like the game it goes somewhere and progresses and makes changes but it's very jazzlike in the roundabout what it gets there. In the same way, you as a player are encouraged by the environment itself to explore and find your own way to progress things
This is by far one the most exciting things for me ever. A new off peak series (?) and Vinny plans on playing this whole thing?! Holy shit, I have waited for this for such a long time. This will be fucking gooooooooood.

Norwood Suite was one of the very first Vinesauce streams I saw live, so this was a welcome surprise. Hell of a first stream to be introduced to, though.

this game has the more gorgeous skybox i've ever seen. the rainbow, a perfect late sunset feeling. this puts me at ease... i cant wait for vinny to come back to it. i could fall asleep to this album, please dev, release the music!!
The original Off-Peak was one of my favourite streams Vinny has ever done. Awesome to see another game in the same universe.
Finally a *Tales Of* game
vinny's musings about rare music remind me of a friend who talks about how excited he was back in the early 70s when some cool cat would bring back avant-garde records from da big city and he'd make dubs using a reel-to-reel. fact is, it was harder to find interesting music, like in recent memory. only after napster (or soulseek) did it get easier.

Welp, time to go down a rabbit hole and watch the videos of Vinny playing the other games he mentioned.
This game is weird - but in a special way. It's... so much like an odd dream, that it reminds me of someplace I know. it just feels familiar, like a town I've lived half my life in. But, of course, it's not real - the game makes me remember bits and pieces of my dreams, and mainly, the feelings from these dreams. It's amazing. It really feels nostalgic. And it's not uncomfortable and tiring like a fever dream. It's chill and curious, like a Sunday dream.

Probably it never was meant to be an italian name, since the Pawn Shop is owned by Paulo, i'd guess the names are more portuguese than italian.

Very much up my alley. Love games like this and I love this one
I always thought games like these were cool with all the surreal things in them. There’s one game that Vinny played a few years that had a surreal feel to it that I can’t remember what it’s called. I remember he would walk around these strange environments finding exits that would lead to more strange environments. I remember there was a bedroom environment, there was a weird shower environment, and there was an outside area that had like a Greco Roman style to it. You would visit these environments multiple times too and they would change in some way each time too. If anyone knows the name of that stream that would be great because watching this makes me want to watch that video again and I can’t find it just looking through Vinny’s playlists.

Whilst the city setting at first seemed like a natural evolution from Off-peak and The Norwood Suite, I honestly preferred those. And I don't think this justified paying seven pounds/eight dollars for. It was way too short. Especially as it is Vol.1 and the ending isn't really an ending...
I regret to say that Cosmo D might be becoming the same sort of corporate sell-out you see critiqued in his games.
