my short analysis of this game is that it's targeted at people who are already leftists and meant to take the piss out of various leftist ideologies like posadism, social democracy(arguably not leftist but still), and anarchoprimitivism(also arguably not leftist but has roots in critiquing capitalism)
you say social democracy is "arguably not leftist" and yet the majority of people who self-ID as "leftists" (at least here in the US) hold views that are basically most in line with social democracy, like for better or worse the closest thing there has been to actually leftist mainstream politicians in the US have all been social democrats, and mainstream socdem political parties in other parts of the world frequently tout themselves as the beginning and end of leftism in that country. I completely agree about primitivism, though, a lot of primmies I've encountered are a hair's breadth away from straight up ecofascism, and Ted Kaczynski has actually gotten increasingly popular among some subsets of right-wing conspiracy theorists lately
apparently the creator, while probably not really a posadist himself, does actually like the idea of aliens coming to save Earth from the horrors of capitalism, which is seemingly enough for a lot of people in these comments to decide literally everything in this game is meant to be taken at face value and to have decided it's the most evil piece of media ever created, after all, the creator hates wonderful humanitarian corporations like Uber and Airbnb who are just so famous for treating their contractors so kindly and generously and absolutely not contributing to the world being more of an absolute hellscape in any way

@ When people say they don't want politics in game they actually mean they don't want preaching about politics in games. You can go with your "Herp derp, all games are political" NPC line back to resetera
This game is actually a great argument AGAINST communism and socialism. Because it makes you worry "if I go far-left, I may find more games like this".
nah it's just that Twitch chat and TH-cam comments are generally cut from the same cloth (ie the worst, dumbest, and most NPC-like of humanity, and yet all delusionally thinking that they're some kind of geniuses who see all the nuance in the world because they mindlessly regurgitate the status quo they've been spoonfed their entire lives)
I hope that regardless of which end of the political spectrum we each end up on, we can all agree that screeching about political things out of nowhere in a game that's supposed to have a non-serious tone is annoying and spoils the fun. At least the corruptions were nice this Sunday.
@@abstrusepaladin You're right, I should have said "Gives the false pretense through clearly wacky humor". Regardless my point stands, it just put a bad taste in my mouth.

they're mad because the game was racist toward rich people and because it called capitalism a bad thing which was extremely triggering to them, also the creator of the game doesn't like Uber, Airbnb, or Adobe, and thinks that it would be cool if aliens actually came and saved us from climate change, therefore absolutely everything in this absurd game was 100% intended to be taken at face value, absolutely none of it was tongue-in-cheek, and the developer must literally be Josef Stalin reincarnated and preparing for another reign of terror by making Twitch chat have to think about politics on a Sunday
Tried to get through it, but the combination of camera movement, hallucinations, and gross models all made me want to throw up. I can appreciate its creativity though.
As someone who never has the time to see streams live I love reading comments talking about the chat at the time Goodness people need to take a chill pill Also I really want to listen to some more of this music cuz wow
If this didn't bother you it's because this was the only instance of political ideology ramming that you experienced today. Some of us come back from work after being bombarded all day and go "What the fuck, in here too?". Sorry for invoking your empathy
@ Again, when people say no politics in game, they mean no propaganda and in your face preachy delivering of ideas. But you can keep loading NPC_response_002 and insist that "Hue hue politics are everywhere, me smart"
so the sequence with the therapist i think is just a metaphor that people that tell you who you are supposed to be, are full of crap. every single word he says is dumb. in fact i'd argue if there is any meaning to that part of the game its that people like that are toxic and dangerous, and ultimately, your name is random anyway
It's wild that the commenters here are so sheltered that they think this guy's political beliefs are that far out there. I mean, his whole aesthetic is very strange and I'm sure he's a strange dude, but so many people exist that believe this stuff, or at least a lot of it. Even if you don't like socialism as an alternative, capitalism really has screwed us up as a species and society in a lot of ways, despite all the good its done as well. If you can't take a look at it with a critical eye though you've got your head as far up your own ass as the creator of this game.
Most people would be more receptive to socialism if the current formulation wasn't entirely just the middle class desperately trying to avoid proletarization.
It’s easier to imagine the end of the world than it is to imagining the end of capitalism for most people. The fact that we have all been conditioned to believe that capitalism is the best system to live under and no other better way of doing things exists is tragic. It’s status quo politics.
it's because the comments here have a clear case of terminal Americanitis, like I saw someone literally cite Couillard thinking Uber and Airbnb are evil companies as evidence of his extremism lol, like even a lot of the most basic milquetoast centrist liberals agree with that take, it's barely even a hot take at this point. Anyway, the creator is Quebecois, and these kinds of political views are not especially out-there in that cultural context, like I know someone from Quebec who actually had their elementary school (or, the equivalent in Canada, obviously) teacher basically say that 9/11 was the chickens coming home to roost lmao
Thought this was going to be a shitty egglike but then it kind of devolved into a generic abstract criticism of consumerism and capitalism which was a bit disappointing. Wasn't too pretentious that it was unenjoyable though.
I am not even sure if the capitalism thing was supposed to be taken seriously or mocking those who are that extremist about it. At times it felt like they were serious, other times they were so ridiculously extremist about it... and then suddenly segue into nonsense.. that I wondered if it was more a satire or parody rather than meant to be taken seriously.

nah it's just that Twitch chat and TH-cam comments are generally cut from the same cloth (ie the worst, dumbest, and most NPC-like of humanity, and yet all delusionally thinking that they're some kind of geniuses who see all the nuance in the world because they mindlessly regurgitate the status quo they've been spoonfed their entire lives)
yep music is prety good love the scate level
I had to watch this twice just to make sure I wasn't on LSD
Actually made a surprising amount of sense tbh.
great game what an experience 💪
This game is definitely an acid trip

I thought you said the, "way o" engine. Like that one claymation game you played
I hope that regardless of which end of the political spectrum we each end up on, we can all agree that screeching about political things out of nowhere in a game that's supposed to have a non-serious tone is annoying and spoils the fun. At least the corruptions were nice this Sunday.
Hear Hear about that ALT DEL. Hear Hear.
@@abstrusepaladin You're right, I should have said "Gives the false pretense through clearly wacky humor". Regardless my point stands, it just put a bad taste in my mouth.
why does it put a bad taste in your mouth? its fine not to like games with politics, but doesnt that just mean its not the right game for you?
@@mimi-xx An odd question, but the reason is because it turns a loose and joyful atmosphere into one of preaching from somebody not qualified to do so. Maybe you like being preached at, but that's not why I play such games or watch Vinny's stream for.
ALT DEL fair enough! though a lot of those things are more subjective than anything.
This looks like something someone made on spore
voice line: WE ARE ALL, FUCKED
Thath graphic is art jeusus
Yeah I get the Gommunism stuff is noteable but why is no one mentioning how the game went full AnPrim in the last few minutes?
that was so funny lmao but even better was that the scene where jef reads the wiki article about earth was a posadism joke
All the political stuff is fun to entertain in a videogame or movie or book, but put into practice and people would quickly realize how unfunny it is.
A thousand eyes making love to the bacon of skantaloo :D
Last night I got the creepiest fucking dream I've had in like the last 10 years.
I fully blame this game for it.
40:36 is that mgmt?
dave epsin yes
It is, "Tslamp" to ne precise, also, the only reason i remember this stream
Where can I find the soundtrack to this game?!?!?
Ok finally watched the whole thing and I don't get why people are pissed. Whatever the message, I want whatever drugs he's on! Also, the marijuana ice cream pornography demon is me.
they're mad because the game was racist toward rich people and because it called capitalism a bad thing which was extremely triggering to them, also the creator of the game doesn't like Uber, Airbnb, or Adobe, and thinks that it would be cool if aliens actually came and saved us from climate change, therefore absolutely everything in this absurd game was 100% intended to be taken at face value, absolutely none of it was tongue-in-cheek, and the developer must literally be Josef Stalin reincarnated and preparing for another reign of terror by making Twitch chat have to think about politics on a Sunday
7:07 reminds me of the rhythm "minigame" from chrome music lab

Will someone please tell me what the hell the song is at 37:00 when he’s skating?
Looks like a Dreams creation, except there's frames.

I feel attacked
Muh naiumé heffe
I think this game was made for Neil Breen
mah name
Tried to get through it, but the combination of camera movement, hallucinations, and gross models all made me want to throw up. I can appreciate its creativity though.
Mi nombre jef
The game reminds me of fuzz dungeon
As someone who never has the time to see streams live I love reading comments talking about the chat at the time
Goodness people need to take a chill pill
Also I really want to listen to some more of this music cuz wow
If this didn't bother you it's because this was the only instance of political ideology ramming that you experienced today. Some of us come back from work after being bombarded all day and go "What the fuck, in here too?". Sorry for invoking your empathy
@@_.-. Lol
You know politics is just everything around you right
It's not a thing you can just escape or ignore
@ Again, when people say no politics in game, they mean no propaganda and in your face preachy delivering of ideas. But you can keep loading NPC_response_002 and insist that "Hue hue politics are everywhere, me smart"
ngl the race music sounds like a shitty mobile game ad
18:11 why dose the cosmos has a giant mouth
wait aren't the alien's and HOTR the rich now?
so the sequence with the therapist i think is just a metaphor that people that tell you who you are supposed to be, are full of crap. every single word he says is dumb. in fact i'd argue if there is any meaning to that part of the game its that people like that are toxic and dangerous, and ultimately, your name is random anyway
If you can't take a look at it with a critical eye though you've got your head as far up your own ass as the creator of this game.
refusal to accept any critique of captialism will be the downfall of humanity, truly the worst kind of hubris out there
Most people would be more receptive to socialism if the current formulation wasn't entirely just the middle class desperately trying to avoid proletarization.
@@pitchblackgrue we do got that alienation and bourgeois hegemony tho
This dev should never write a book, he’ll tell you the moral and the meaning literally
Thought this was going to be a shitty egglike but then it kind of devolved into a generic abstract criticism of consumerism and capitalism which was a bit disappointing. Wasn't too pretentious that it was unenjoyable though.
Unenjoyable?
@@FestiveRocket Psycho Manis?
I am not even sure if the capitalism thing was supposed to be taken seriously or mocking those who are that extremist about it. At times it felt like they were serious, other times they were so ridiculously extremist about it... and then suddenly segue into nonsense.. that I wondered if it was more a satire or parody rather than meant to be taken seriously.
