After full time the teams was still drawing and even after extra time so it went to penalties and England lost..

Fifa has a point when it comes to using technology to referee a game. The system has to be absolutely perfect before using it. The goal-line technology has yet to make a mistake, and that's because it was in development for years and never rushed.
If you implement too much technology, eventually there wouldn't be a need for linesmen and referees.

A record which I don't think they would publicise without having hard evidence behind it. The reason asian countries don't have the players is one the western countries (in my opinion) are generally more developed countries especially about 30-50 years ago. Therefore it's much more likely for those with disposable income to donate and even buy supporting teams merch therefore able to invest into stadiums holding larger crowds funding more tickets increasing money in order to buy better player, managers etc. therefore having a solid foundation in football allowing them to grow a fan base from those not from local area as well. Secondly, if you were a decent asain footballer you would rather go to countries with better pay like Honda, Son, Kagawa did. Just because you don't have decent players from your country doesnt mean you can't be a fan of the sport. I will never forget this tournament. I remember watching France, Argentina, and Portugal (golden generation) exited in the first round. I remember the Italy game like it was yesterday. At first, I wanted to see an upset, but in the right way. Then the fouls and disallowed goal for Italy before Korea winning I had a suspicion that the match was somewhat fixed; but then it got worse when they played Spain. As the narrator said, Western Europe would have been in outrage if my Germans lost to them in the Semis. 2002 World Cup in my eyes is considered the corrupted World Cup.

I was only 8 when this World Cup was staged and I have some really fond memories like staying up to watch some of the games with my dad and kicking around a mini soccer ball inside against the wall pretending to be Ronaldo.
I’m 26 now and still I get chills around World Cup time,.....sometimes hoping that I’ll be able to replicate some of the excitement and emotions that the 2002 World Cup made me feel as a kid.
Italy seems underwhelming by the results in the group stage. But if you look closely there had many bad calls against them, including especially an offside called for a BACKWARD pass in Italy-Croatia. Hell, Italy scored 10 "goals" in the 4 games, 5 of which were disallowed. Some rightfully, most very wrongfully.
