So sad to hear that Ben passed away on 25th May from Covid complications. Condolences to his family and friends. His videos were simply brilliant and great inspiration. Such a loss.
Another nice video thank you. Now I can make both dishes side by side and compare, although I know both will be great in their own way :) Lot's of lovely info and tips, it's informative, but boy can some people talk. Haha (But it's pleasant) This potjie does look so delicious. 1.) Chopping onions, which you probably know, something in the onions react with water. Try cutting onions under running water, or at least keep wetting the onion after a few cuts. It has made a big difference in overcoming my emotions :') 2.) 5:07 That's the same look I had. Haha. I will try green pepper seeds, but that's an odd one to get used to. 3.) Haha that dishwasher salt and shovel. I'm sure the amount of honey used was the same amount as what the shovel would've been. Lol 4.) Woops, no video. 5.) I like that lid for the potjie. 26:15 6.) (off topic), How can I make a good marinara sauce for pasta, or tomato soup? Could I start the same as the way the tomatoes were cooked in this video as a base?
I'm amazed to hear the sizzle and see the steam but at the same time they both touch the pot and handle without getting burned. Is this a special type of stove? Do they have special heat cancelling superpowers? Is the conversation so rapid that the nerve endings can't keep up so they just don't feel the heat? EIther way, and I really am curious, it's great to see Ben again. I learn something every time I watch. Izelle is informative and energetic and while I prefer Ben, she is starting to grow on me.
Thank you for the response! Looks like my second choice, special heat canceling superpowers, was pretty close. Glad to see you’re back with videos and looking forward to more.

We will miss your smile and amazing cooking Ben ,RIP
Izelle is a Skinny Cook (refer Sign behind Ben) and while Ben cooks from his heart, Izelle appears to cook from a Book.
Happy & cheerful presentation, keep up the great work, I'm looking forward to more videos on a regular basis :-)
