That pot look fantastic Mickey, can’t wait to see you my frying pan I dug out of the barn, it sure enough has some rust on it. Thanks for sharing and hope you have a blessed week my brother.
Very nice pot. Get job on it. Oiling and heating reminds me of seasoning a fry pan or griddle. I am watching from Prince Edward Island , Canada. 👋👋👍🏻👍🏻
Wow, what a transformation.. It's amazing what some vinegar and water applied with a lot of elbow grease will do.. Very good job Micky and thank you for sharing.. Be well my friend.. 😊 👍 ML.. ❤

Howdy Micky! Say those are pretty nice pots! I might have to keep my eyes open for one - specially now that I know how to restore it 😁 Would be great for when we camp with the horses when we trail ride. Nicely done and thanks for sharing 🤠
You did a great job explaining everything and the steps that you were going through. I enjoyed this video. From the camera it looked like it was a brand new pot. By the way you did ask what country everybody’s from. I’m from the United States Pennsylvania on top of a mountain anyway I hope you have a wonderful day. This is very interesting.
I love using cast iron for cooking. We dry ours by heating it on our gas stove. We've had 2 frying pans and a griddle for many years and they still have no rust. I know a lot of people do use cooking oil. Maybe we should try that before we heat it. What do you suggest? 😊😊👋👋❤❤
You would be amazed at the old cast iron still thrown away in the US. They think it's ruined when it's rusty. The collectors have driven the prices up on the good old pieces. A lot of the newer stuff the casting is porous and doesn't seem to hold a good seal.
Very nice sharing ❤❤❤

Hello my friend nice
Thank you so much for your visit and support.
Nice job. Looks really good! Did they use to put those on a wood fire to cook with? Looks like it might make a great camp cooking pot.
Yes sir, a great pot to cook anything.

I have always used cooking oil, works great for sealing/curing.

A lot of the newer stuff the casting is porous and doesn't seem to hold a good seal.
Great job. Now what are you going to use it for...cooking? Re-paid and subscribed.
