Its called LDV here in new zealand. its highly reliable and an excellent workhorse of a vehicle. The engine there in the philippines is smaller than the standard ones here.

Looks like a pretty good buy! Tho I'm still quite neutral with its front profile because in some scenes (like the ones in NLEX), it looks good but during the shots it looks plain..probably because of those 2007 Everest wheels but other than that it looks okay. Hope it proves to be reliable soon.
What is the reliability rating of the engine like? Transmission cvt or dual clutch?

I'm not sure what it can do with just 148 hp? Pick up trucks are meant to be tough and can move tons of load but this is probably ok for folding chairs and tables for catering services...

The side is very similar to navara ,the side window and the upper hood too,the face looks hilux though.but for me for sure the platform was copied or base on navara.
The only problem is the brand it's under (maxxus) if the bring it with the MG badge they might sell well

Buy at your own risk i own a chinese car and while it is somewhat reliable the body is starting to fall apart from rust. Even our 16 years old toyota still has minimal surface rust.

At first look it's not really attractive because you know maxus... Ano yun? haha pero while watching it cruise... It grows on you, it looks really really noice. And the power its not that bad. Like he said 4x4 at 1.3m, its worth the bread. The styling surely says it all, "all around utility vehicle". Nice. Nice...
