Great stuff again Giles. It is fantastic to see the major pellet manufacturer's starting to work with the airgun industry, exciting times to be an air gunner especially with the development of slugs. Think you are missing a trick when it comes to ballistic gel. Surely you could use normal jelly! If you used lead free pellets you could eat it afterwards lol.
I want to see this actually in .177 in a 12fpe+ rifle. I think that is where this design will really shine.
Excellent soapwork, Giles! Just thinking out loud here, but if you poured a bit of plaster into that pellet hole before you scooped out the pellet, you'd get a physical representation of the path of the bullet and see where it expands or tumbles or that sort of thing? Probably too much faff. Hooray for soap!

Thank you for this information. I appreciate your straight up approach and good information that is practical. Currently using the 25.39gr Ultra Shock @ 650fps (.22) for rats, sparrows, and pigeons. I was skeptical of the low speed when sighting in but accuracy and sub 50 yd performance on these species is flawless. I will order some Hades to try out based on your review and Steve's (AEAC). Just to compare as they are obviously going to be less loopy.
Not surprisd that you have plenty of soap sitting arround, considering what they say about Pommies and soap. Great story bloke, and I'm glad you had an opinion about the pellets.

To me the very best pellet is the JSB domed diabolo pellet in accuracy and penetration. Any other design (flat, hollow, mushrom or point) do not have the aerodynamic advantages as domed ones. Period

when do they bring out the hades in .30 for my daystate wolverine 2 100 ft/lbs
What is Hades made for ? Is it not for expansion when it doesn't expand at all, in fact in expansion it's worst than the normal pellets
I was going to say, JSB please roll out the hades slugs, however as a slug main selling point is its long range performance , maybe not.
ps, matt dubbers latest video lasts 1h16m, "that's a good long mass", (father Ted ref).

Ive took out around 1350 pigeons with a majority taken with 15.9 JSB s and had 74 yards 1 shot kills with 12 fpe It was awesome. For that matter 30 fpe with this pellet was simply wicked. And my max ranged pigeon was 165 yards. Isee no need for a mushrooming pellet. And for squirrel I only take headshots.
Please tune your gun too 920 fps and by HAPPY :) (16 GRAINS)
