You can do a speed test for the Wifi you are currently connected to through the app, but cannot run a speed test for Starlink unless it is hooked up and running from my experience
Today is 10/5/24 and Starlink is on sale for $299. After watching what happened in Appalachia I just ordered one for backup internet. The roam play $50/50gb per month is fine for the random months I'll need it for backup or just while camping.
Starlink should be a great backup wifi option especially in times of emergency for you! The 50 gb plan sounds like is exactly what you need and what is nice is you can turn off the service while you aren't using it and then just switch it back on when you do need it. Nice way to save some extra money with it
My starlink gen 3 wifi is connected but marks "has no internet access". So I am stuck in the setup phase unable to go through to the step where we supposed to setup a network name & password lol

Does the payment plan change base on the country you live?
I don't think it does, but we haven't taken it out of the US so I can't say for certain

Sure you repackage it when you travel...sure you do. Bet it ends up in a box.
Haha we actually did put it back in the box every day for about the first month but now we just put it on the bed while we drive!
