Put it on a piece of cardboard or something large and flat and move the cardboard rather than the laser itself and you’ll be able to move it super slowly till it lines up

Yeah but then it’s easily bumbled, not stable

Yep been there done that many times. Was here to suggest putting it on a piece of wood.

😂reminds me of Tom. We use different laser but similar idea. I’m uprigger. He’s down rigger. Every time he sets the laser he looks up to see it on the ceiling and covers it with his hand but doesn’t know so he moves it a little and repeats. 5 minutes later ha can see the laser. I pull motor point go down the the ground and then see he was 3” off the mark. 😂

i had to help a buisness setting up new factory tape lines paint lines etc the straightness matters all especially on long long distances ya couldn't see the Lazer in the dayshift so i temporarily switched nights to get a longer feild of veiw this took weeks or months along with other tasks but i just had to come in early leave late and start on other tasks when sunlight started preventing accomplishment then id have to quit whatever I'd switched to like moving in setting up equipment while going back to setting level lines... i got an ey for eyeballing it but my help was "medicated" hey 420 😂 and literally told me they prefer i did the quality part because though slow it was nearly perfect because i had to remeasure and re verify so often... oh yeah plenty of people bumping the sensitive equipment but even the floor vibrations forklifts moving about heavy loads on the fairly fresh concrete I'm talking less than months even weeks old still in it's hardening phase where it needs water washing to absorb and strengthen and dry time but can't be wet laying paint or tape and the construction 🚧 🏗️🚧 dust everywhere making it not stick but i did extremely good then for holidays corperate trying to short term look good or save money not having to pay benefits or insurance let me go while at same time all the employees and boss begging me to come back 😂 o found higher pay immediately by the way but I'd still do a quality job over a quantity job because it lasts and reputation is not just easily given but earned ... actually they set me up with side work that wasn't at my new job so i could throw my spare hours at and earn significantly more than the minimum i was producing quality for ... guess it helps to be able bodied of sound mind and no chemical dependancy addictions which i guess were all their other applicants? some for certain though
