    The simplicity of your explanations, makes any concept easy to understand. This should be the goal of all teachers and lectures. Starting small and then increasing the complexity makes for quick comprehension. Thank You so very much. I will be sharing this with my fellow students.

    Great video! Since eleventh grade I have been struggling with grammar and after four years, I still have difficulties in understanding syntax, but now I'm starting to get the hang of it.

    Do we only use simple tenes of sentences in syntax?🤔 and what does 'coocurrances stand for? Does it mean 'occurrences'? or!

    What's the word you use at 0:18? It sounds like "free morphines"
    Does a noun phrase always contain the subject? Does the verb phrase always contain the object?

    Can you elaborate on Noun Phrase "rowdy crowd." To make sense it would need a determiner, correct?

    • @user-ok6rp3tz6e
      @user-ok6rp3tz6e 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, if it were to be used in context it would most likely be paired with “a” or “the”. Although there are exceptions of course

    Great video,but I really didn't understand why in example of V+NP+NP the sentences, "give dog some food" some food is noun phrase although it should be Adv phrase because some is telling something about the food which is noun.It is confusing please help.

    • @Gus.JSegovia
      @Gus.JSegovia 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Normally, NPs have a predominant role in sentences. As "some" is a determiner and there's not such thing as a "determiner phrase", "some food" takes the place of the NP there and it matches one of the several patterns NPs may have.

    • @mauricemorty4687
      @mauricemorty4687 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      some, is determiner.
      the food, that food, some food, it's food.

    Dear sir, As per my knowledge , the verb phrase does not include any Noun Phrase . I think verb phrase is nothing but Helping Verb + Main Verb. Would love to correct myself if have lack of some knowledge.

      A Verb Phrase can include a noun phrase as the VP is the largest phrasal type. The VP can be the entire predicate. Hope this helps :)
