I have this Snake Eyes (Version 17???) which came with Timber , and it is definitely my favorite! Timber is more advanced than the 80's version and is painted up nicely dark and light grey. Excellent sculpt! And Snake Eyes is fantabulous, and he has rotating wrists, so, posing him with weapons is the best. Very good sculpt. I hope you will accept him into the Regiment even though he 's not from the 80's. I'm sure they can handle any mission given to them!!! Thanks again, Michael for a nice little "Special Mission!!!!" Yo Joe!!!!!!
😂😂😂 Love all the top class humor you always add good brother!😁👍 It was so awesome they made so many animal companions. I did not realize there was so many. Timber by far is my favorite 😁
When I was a kid, it was definitely Timber. I've had him and Snake Eyes (broken crotch and all) since '85. Now, I think Junkyard may be tops, probably influenced by the fact that I was fortunate to have a Rottweiler (mix) from 1990 until his passing in 2003. He was everything you could ask for in a dog. I can't watch "Cobra's Creatures" without feeling for Mutt and Junk. Great list, Michael!
Timber and Polly are my favourites too Michael probably due to the Snake Eyes and Shipwreck team up in The Pyramid Of Darkness and were my first two joes bought on the same day 👍
Absolutely awesome video of G.I. Joe animal companions. I love all the characters with animal companions, they're so cool and it's kinda of like getting two action figures for the price of one. Thumbs way up for this video Michael, you so totally rock.
GI Joe was great back in the day. Look how much you got, the card back in this show it all. Great art, a figure with a lot of detail and articulation. A back pack and a few weapons. Then some figures also get an animal. The only Joes I had with an animal were Cobra's. Croc Master and Raptor.
I remember when I first saw Snake Eyes with Timber in the Toy Store close to home, I just grabbed it, looked at my father and said "This one dad". I'm from Brazil and the only other version of Snake Eyes we had of him was has a Cobra Infiltrator, with was the 82 version of Snake Eyes with a Cobra symbol on his chest, a watched the cartoon and knew he wasn't Cobra, he was and still is my favorite character of G.I. Joe.
how about a cobra ferret, awe striker, vamp, devil fish, hydro sled review in their respective environment. i like how you did this review, makes it a lot more interesting
This is tremendous! I have a special memory of being 7 and my dad taking me to Toys R Us to get me a bike for my birthday and tacked on Law & Order (the figure, not the television series). He rarely did that stuff so it really stood out. The only other time was in 85 when I was five and he got me a six inch Godzilla (Godzilla 85 had just come out). I still have that Godzilla on display and he's occupied a few cubicles in past decades. My dad's gone so I get a little bummed when I see Law n Order (both the figure and the TV show sometimes ;)
Lol I never expected any Canadian to compare a Trex and Celine Dion! Never change brother! Incidentally my top five are Timber, junkyard, spirit, Polly and order. P.s. wonder why Hasbro never gave Stormshadow an animal companion? Like maybe a lynx or a crow
Excellent list. Although he wasn't as vicious as some of the others, Paulie was my favorite. He was such a wonderful smart alec but a good friend to Shipwreck nonetheless.
For the longest time, I thought I had a version of Duke that came with a brown bobbed tail dog, but I certainly had Spearhead and Max. Some kid stole him from me when I was 5. Haha how funny.
Another fun video. Your videos really stand out from the crowd, they always bring a playful and positive vibe, almost like I took a time machine back to the 80's. Btw how do I contact the channel? I mean not in a public forum like youtube comments, is there a Michael Mercy TH-cam Channel email or anything like that?
Deep Six was originally going to be released with a much larger orca, it was ultimately changed into a really bad looking dolphin. Wide Scope (who?) came with a black dog named Lamont.
The thing everyone seems to forget is that we were kids when we were in to GI Joe, and what may seem silly to us today was cool back then. I'm kinda opposed to trying to make kids properties "too believable." There was always a hint of realism in GIJoe, more so in the comic than the cartoon, but it was always primarily aimed at boys based on what boys were interested in.
Having a Pet was the best reason to buy a Joe for me back in the old days and even now.

Mutt was covid ready. Great video. Loved it.
Freedom definitely takes the cake with me. There's just something majestic about an eagle
I loved the 🦅 eagle... oh yes and the 2 dogs too. I also had the wolf and parrot 🦜
Timber in disguise is top of the tops!

A pet Barracuda sounds like fun to me! I have a soft spot for Gnawgahydes Boar though...
Any GIJOE video from Mr. Mercy is a great video. Nerdmaste!
Finback is a good one because the Navy actually trains dolphins for things like mine detection.
Wow had no idea there were additional international releases! Thank you Michael!

hi Mic in fact i took an interest in the animal figure that comes with the Joes. i find that especially cool it’s like sweetening the deal.
Excellent list. Although he wasn't as vicious as some of the others, Paulie was my favorite. He was such a wonderful smart alec but a good friend to Shipwreck nonetheless.
1-Junkyard, 2-Timber, 3-Freedom, 4-Boar (Gnawgahyde) and 5-Vulture (Voltar)

For the longest time, I thought I had a version of Duke that came with a brown bobbed tail dog, but I certainly had Spearhead and Max. Some kid stole him from me when I was 5. Haha how funny.
Max is my favorite. Forget the dogs. Give me a good cat any day.
I personally would rank the top five like this, 5.the dolphin 4.Freedom 3.Timber 2.Order 1.Junkyard and honorable mention to Polly, Max and Sandstorm.
Freakin awesome!!
