Do you think this is the best issue for Pierre to focus on right now?
    Is this an election-winning issue?

Sadly, his taxes aren't showing up in our bank accounts. Justin supporting the carbon tax and claiming that Pierre is in the wrong shows his globalist ignorance.

Hilarious that arsonists will be out on bail while we pay more taxes to stop fires.

In his litany of policies touted as priorities for “Canadians” - for once I would like to see a referendum asking Canadians their thoughts and actual priorities not dictated to us - defence and security are no where to be found.
Safety and protection and it’s associated peace and unity is what are most required at this juncture of perilous times with world events and terror being allowed into our borders by unmitigated of numbers coming from the four corners of the globe many of whom have no idea what is democracy and have no respect or need to participate in it with zero criminal background checks, filters or other vetting procedures and policies.
Although the PM and his cronies are very concerned about their own safety and security as escalating expenses related to both rises with the passage of time, the rest of the populace is left to their own devices in dealing with the aftermath of policies which have no foundation in the reality of what our infrastructure can conceivably support and no proactive long term vision or plan beyond the vote count for any coming election. Constant pathological lying especially the lies based on omission and lacking full disclosure and transparency leads to a circus show with zero accountability and solutions on the horizon to fix the many failures and messes that abound.
Public service is a platform merely for self-promotion and propagating self-interest by the reigning government and they are saddling not only the current citizenry within the debilitating effects and consequences of their shallow and reactive policies based on whatever the prevailing public winds of opinion offer, but generations to come are now locked in a place that will become a forced servitude and the inability to prosper and thrive in the extrication from these corrupt and self-serving individuals. We should have anti-corruption mechanisms in place in a democracy that collects all the violations related to ethics and scandals, broken promises and pledges and litany of lies and omissions of information to reach a predetermined threshold and have an automatic lever for calling a new election without this endless charade of debate in Parliament though word salad overtures and deflections, denials, stonewalling, blaming previous administrations after nearly a decade in power. The evidence should be able to speak of its own accord and once so many have been accumulated there is no charade it’s just an automatic function of the democracy to speak on behalf of to people that are supposed to be represented and served.
The private sector is the avenue for self-promotion and and self aggrandizement and interest. People should not have to held in tyranny endlessly and relentlessly because any political mandate has not been fulfilled. Two terms and you’re out should also be imposed.
Democracy is supposed to be built on the premise of the will of the people not the elitists holding power and their cronies who do their bidding without question because they have a mutually beneficial quid pro quo arrangement in place.
Canada is no longer a democracy and should be branded as such internationally as part of the mechanism built into the democracy when corruption reaches such endemic levels and those in power refuse to do the right thing in service of the greater good and in service to those who elected them into power. Organizations internationally should watch for this slippage and descent into totalitarianism and tyrannical strategies and activities we are seeing and put pressure on any administration that exhibits such style of bad governance to be accountable and fall in their swords.
Take a walk in the snow already and stop with the endless dance of refusing culpability and accountability that is constantly being presented through prof in the facts and figures. Enough rhetorical maneuvering and let action and conduct and behaviour speak for itself. Canadians deserve better than the circus freak show on display on a daily basis.

Raises the price of everything, rise in fuel costs or production costs affects living standard for everything just because the fact alone that fuel is tied into shipping(logistics), farming and taxing it does the samething as keeping production low, not sure what there is not to be understood here.

What Justin Trudeau says isn't wrong, except he is an awful PM.
A good leader follows a noble ideal and brings positive results to his people. An average leader stuck with reality and get what is good for his people. A bad leader chases an ideal and have his people pay for it.
