Thanks. That is what I meant. Yes, mukene was my most favourale dish with matoke. I am from Iganga ( Busoga Dist ) in Uganda. I miss Uganda dearly. I used to visit my brother there but unfortunately, he died few years ago. Someday, I may visit Uganda again and be your luncheon guest.
Nice1madam. I hv watched the same video but of a Kenyan lady preparing Mattoke in this same manner. Looks like its the Kenyan way of cooking mattoke with skin on..!! .In Ugsnda we dont do that, rather we peel off the mattoke skin entirely before cooking it & we have our special traditional way of cooking our mattoke, but we can also boil singulary esp for breakfast..we call it Eminwe ja Mattoke katogo" cooked together different sauce of your choice....hihiii🙂
Matoke/g-nut sauce with meat or senene (small fish) was my weekly meal. I was born in Uganda (Busoga Dist.) I have visited Uganda more than 12 times. I am in Canada and I still remember my days in my village, Iganga. Surely,. Churchill was right to say, Uganda is PEARL of Africa.
Now I have an idea of what I'll prepare for dinner. This recipe is a must try

Hi, great video! Really looking forward to trying this. How long do you boil the matoke before peeling them?
I love food so much
Did anyone notice that we Ugandans mostly eat organic food
Yes, but am Kenyan embracing Ugandan cuisine
Thts wt makes us diffrent from the rest
New subscriber here n learning alot... Are the groundnuts roasted or you grind them raw?
Thanks so much Joyce, no they are raw
Yummy😋
Great
i didnt know peanuts can be cooked......will try this
Thanks Dea, yea peanut is great
Great, but remember g-nuts produce a lot of oil after simmering, so use less or no cooking oil at all.
Love your cooking. Would love to come to Uganda to meet you. We can TH-cam together
I am serious 😁
Please can you tell me what herb is in the bowl with the garlic I can quite hear what you are saying. Many thanks 💕

This is Uganda's most popular and common dish (meal), What do you call this peanut sauce in swahili? Is it Fuluga?
Why not mashed bananas?
That's another recipe
You need to cut the background music. I can't hear you.
Ehhh competing with the music
Hi
I could barely hear what she is saying
