Thanks for making this video. It is nice to see someone program the gyro while telling what they are doing. A picture is worth a thousand words. Thanks again.
hey, thanks very much for this detailed video. The manual just does not provide enough information to understand how to adjust each element. I could never set it up right and could not figure out what I was doing wrong but now it works properly on my 450. Thanks again and Merry Christmas.
@GastrkDude No problem, glad it helped. The delay setting on the GP780 usually needs some tweaking. The 250 is also known for tail wag issues. Mine had them like crazy and the micro heli stuff didn't help. I finally got most of the wag out by using a mini servo instead of micro, but then it still didn't like fast reverse flight.
@he3r00 Thanks! I think on the GP750 the limits are similar, you set the left limit then the right, but I don't think you'll get the LEDs to give you the confirmation the same way, you just go left limit, wait a few seconds, then the right limit.
@helicopterjamie For a simple set up and simple sport flying, the 401 is great, but I personally like the performance of the Align gyro better when it comes to anything more demanding on the tail.
i be using the gyro for a while i never know how to set the tail limit i have to play with the push rod and use the round futaba servo arm to prevent slider from binding you are good thank.
@zostritch I have some vids on my channel on how to program a DX7. They layout is a little different, but the concepts are all the same. On the "Input Select" programming menu, did you make sure you set GEAR to GYRO (as opposed to INH, GEAR or AUX2)?
@dbutzer @dbutzer I am sure my Heli needs to be set-up way better then I have my T-Rex 250, but you sure helped this frustrated Newb get off the ground. After a month, I wanted to take a hammer to it. Thanks so much for your video!!!!!
Thank you to share this vídeo, very helpful.. I have a trex600 with this gyro and the tail started to shake, but I lost the manual and I can reprograme because I not found another manual available on web!!!
@helicopterjamie 790? There is a GP750 and a GP780, this will describe how to program both of them. The main difference is the delay setting in the GP780, the position of the stick when you press the button will be a different delay setting.
My rudder is set at 30% expo(sensitive side), which means at 1/8" stick movement servo is at full deflection. Will this confuse the gyro? Do I need to set my expo back to zero? BTW, I'm hoping the GP750 will correct my GY401(futaba) sputter problem. During heavy continuous piro(no flip) rotation it just stops intermittently.
i've just purchased the 450 pro super combo im haveing trouble with getting it to go into heading hold mode i have a Dx6i with a Ar 7600 high speed Rx. i have heading hold programmed into my flap/gyro switch 0=25% 1=75% and i still get no HH when i switch it to 1? any suggestions
Hello, i have a trex 550e with the GP900 gyro. I have a BIG tail wag problem. Its a brand new build, so nothing is bent, and i set all the lights to green, because my manual is set up like this. But i still have a tail wag. I have made my servo horn 5 mm from the servo screw, and its better, but the tail wags when the servo catches after i move the tail in flight. Gyro gain, go as low and as high as the gain can go, always the same.Tale wag. Do you have any suggestions what i can try next??????
Hello, i have a brand new 550e, with the GP900 gyro. My gyro does not want to change its settings. Hold the button for two seconds works, pushing the button for the 5 options works. Its when i move my rudder stick to change from green and red, nothing happens. I also made a video, hope you can help me please. Cheers.
Also , there is no binding on the tail moving parts, they are moving free. And i have given more head speed, and less head speed. Give more pitch, and the wag is always there. I take my gaui gu 210 gyro, and the same transmitter setting, and the wag is gone. So its 100% to do with the GP900. Do you know why there are so many youtube videos about align gyros and nasty tail wag. So sad, because this is a brand new gyro. Please let me know if you can think off some thing i can try. THANKS.

Thanks again.
Thanks, good video, much more clearer and informative than Align instructions... Much appreciated.

great vid, everything works for me, except limits on my gp750.
I have sorted the not wanting to change, it was my travel adjust, was not 100%, so the gyro did not pick up my movement left and right.
fantastic video, thanx

@helicopterjamie The classifieds on the forums should help you get that sold. For sport and non-3D flying, the 401 will do just fine.
is this video can apply also in gp790 gyro?
