@ArcticRc I enjoy watching your video!About HM-83 tail wagging, I had same problem on my T-REX600Nitro. I did everything I can think of but never stopped wagging. After more than 6 month of struggling, I found the answer. It was the Engine mount. Engine mount was slightly (about 0.5mm) offset from the center of the clutch bell, causing unnecessary vibration on tail boom. I found out that it is typical case in Engine RC Heli. I learned Pro uses Dial Gauge to center the Engine.
Awesome looking helis! Very nice video. Very informative! Good luck with the maiden flights with the new gyros! Have a great day and happy flying friend!
@ArcticRc I’m glad to hear you had sorted out the tail wagging problem of the Walkera HM-83. I’m very interested in Walkera HM-83 and also GAUI X5! Both cost about same here in Japan. Walkera HM-83 is the most attracting Heli for me now. I’m using ALIGN 3G Gyro for T-REX600N FBL. It’s good Gyro. I can fly Pirouette Flip easily with FBL 3G Gyro. Micro Beast also has good reputation here in Japan. Have fun!
I'd like to see the guai X5 review with BeastX. I just put a Microbeast in my Trex 500esp with RJX head and it's awesome. I tried an Align3G before and it was terrible, bobbing in forward flight, tail sucked and could never get it perfect. The BeastX out of the box with no adjustments flew perfect. Anyhow hope to see the Guai in the future and thanks for taking the time to make all these videos and hope your weather improves, cant wait to see some outdoor flying with your 500 also.
@ArcticRc Very carefully and very safely hold tail boom end with your finger while on the ground and the rotor spinning near take off RPM. If you feel vibration from the tail boom, then it is the cause of the tail wagging. Main cause of a tail wagging on Engine Heli is the vibration of the Heli. If everything else is correct, vibration comes from miss centering of the Engine mount.
Hi. The Align GP780 gyro is great. I have read so much negative about this gyro but for me it has worked great both on my Trex 600E with a BLS980 servo and now it sits in my Aeolus 50CF Nitro with a Futaba S9256. Both those servos are 760us servos and maybe that is the reason why it works so well for me. No wag or bounces what so ever!! tail is rock solid. So for all the people out there having problems with this gyro should maybe try a 760us servo. A smooth linkage is also very important
I will be getting the walkera hm v450d01 v2 with the 6 axis gyro we will see how stable this is. It can also be switched to 3 axis gyro for unlimited 3D flying. I'll let you know what I think of it when I get it in a few days.
