On my passenger side mirror the issue is not that the mirror does not hit the pin, but the placing of the pin is such that the mirror position is too close to the door and it cannot function properly as a side mirror or I can't view the traffic next to my car.
@@dirtykurty92 First, thanks so much for responding to my question. The mirror clicks into place, or the pin is functioning, but the placement of the whole mirror housing is askew or incorrect. The position of the mirror housing is too near to the door, and as a result, the mirror can't be directed toward the rear-side traffic, what I see is only the panel of the door.
@Jimmymanan hmm so the housing is stopping but in the wrong spot from the sounds of it? It does move correct? If it moves maybe it lost it home position, I would try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes, then try to manually place the mirror where it should be, and then reconnect the battery and then try to press the button to get it to move on its own, see if that helps
@@dirtykurty92 I purposely not touch the folding mirror button, but last week I accidentally did, and the both driver and passenger side mirror became out of whack, folding out to the extreme position. But I manually placed the driver mirror in a "pinned" position which is correct, but unfortunately on the passenger side it is "askew" or "incorrect." I probably will open the cover, clean it and spray some W40 into those crevices like you did. Hope it works.

@@JimmyManan so is it the mirror itself is pointing in the wrong position? Like the function when you put the car in reverse the mirror points down?
