i failed at playing this at first sight..... but i took it home, and practiced it today.......and i can play it almost right....tomorrow i'll polish it up. the bass part.
I played it this year for my first year of bass, 7th grade. Man the bass sounds so smooth in this-also finally someone who is the bassist who knows about this arrangement. (Upright or electric for your preference?)
The solos here are able to be jus improvising, and pretty sure they’d let any instrument that wants to do it, since it’s grade 2 most band directors would allow it since lower grade pieces don’t have to be so strict and down to detail, unless the director is a stickler
@@rest.. they are, but most directors will agree that improvising actually teaches you jazz cuz that’s what it really is at its core. Also, making your own music on the run is just an underrated skill to have, and to make it so good it sounds written is even better

@@hughjayn1s yeah improvising is fun but its fun to have a written sometimes, the vehicle solo and in the stone solo for trombone is so fun too play
