This video is pure gold, the solos are amazing, each and every player is enthusiastic and feeling the music. The Rythm section has a perfect balance with the winds and the drummer fits the tone of the piece perfectly. Dynamics are adjusted to further enhance the emotions laid within the piece and it was executed flawlessly, bravo!
'' Le Jazz, c'est comme les bananes, ça se consomme sur place ''. Ella Fitzgerald. J'aurais vraiment aimé être à ce concert. En plus, ce morceau est tellement beau. 👍🇫🇷🍷🆓
The band at my highschool preformed this by the band room and it sounded exactly like this

Contrary to some of the other comments, I believe you can arrange a song in a different time signature from the original - that's not morally wrong, that's just a creative take.
Dear Swing it big band , I loved how you performed “My favorite things” as it is my real childhood favorites..Bravo and thank you all .. P.s is it possible to get the music sheets of this beautiful arrangement? I would appreciate very much if you answer me. Thanks In advance.
The only thing I didn't like was the Flugelhorn solo. I felt it very ambiguous over the character and key of the arrangement. Otherwise, it's one of my favorite arrangements of the piece. Absolutely loved it. The ending is beautiful too.
We're playing this version of the piece in my high-school jazz band, and may I just point out that because of what my director has forced into my brain, every time I hear the part at 3:48 not together in the saxophones, it makes me cringe. He made us (the tenors and altos) play that short lick for over 10 minutes so that we could have it together and this just makes me slightly sad On a better note, the trombone glissando is beautiful
Jesus F. Christ. Get Woody Herman's arrangement from the album "My Kind of Broadway." The original and Woody's version are in 3/4, NOT 4/4. This is just wrong. (Never, ever listen to a big band with a conductor standing in front.)
FANTASTIC! Would Love to dance to this live. I’ll do the next best thing- dance in my kitchen! 😅
i love your picture of your dog
