MiniFlynny you should listen to his arrangement of Lullaby of Birdland. You can find it on the Hal Leonard site. He also composed the arrangement of caravan from whiplash
@@flynnpoppleton2628 it's where the money is. lots of people can't play this kinda stuff (this recording is the usaf airmen of note) so there's not a large market for it, already taken up by guys like bill hollman, maria schneider, bob brookmeyer, etc. make your money writing easy charts that will sell lots of copies and then get around to writing 5+ level charts for the air force bands every once in a while, not a bad gig
That first trumpet part is crazy! I'm used to seeing nothing far over a C or D, definitely didn't come expecting Gb's. Great arrangement and amazing performance.
This is a great warm-up chart for the Airmen of Note. Went to high school with the lead player. He easily has another octave on top of this. EASILY. Freak. :)
Jerrod Shack absolutely. Heard him do it in high school. If you listen to the recording of Somewhere out there, he ends on a Grand C. He’s not even straining.
Voila l'arrangement est fabuleux ,bravo pour l'arrangeur , le big band des US Air Force Airmen of Note et la prise de son est top ... Merci c'est très instructif
I respect your opinion, but to be fair this arrangement is a bebop swing chart and arranged after A trumpet player named Dizzy Gillespies pieces, so frantic really matches the style
I finally found another proper Bass Trombone part for Jazz.
Finally a full grade 5 song that’s good

Yeah he’s really good at making easy songs hard
Which I love that about him

it looks more like a grade 6 song (don't think a trumpet 1 should climb to a double G#)
If anyone is wondering, this is the airmen of note playing.
This chart is frickin lit
