This scenario happened to me. I took my wife on a trip that I had previously taken a college GF. Same confusion happened where I couldn’t get it straight between the two of them. Same reaction by my wife. LOL now but not at the time. I died laughing when I saw this episode. I felt less bad about my idiocy.

*Off topic but this past Christmas I got locked out of the hotel room wearing nothing but a t-shirt after my shower b/c I was trying to get a soda.* *My grandparents were in the restaurant lobby having dinner.* *I had to take the walk of shame into the elevator and down to the front desk.* 😡
(Obvious) lesson to be learned from this factual experience... maybe put on some clothes before leaving your hotel room.

But the fact that he planned an entire trip around sexual memories from a past relationship does.
So you would be comfortable with your wife/girlfriend taking you to a vacation spot she went to with an ex, even booked the same room she shared with him for the two of you? Also have the staff recognize her and know she was with a different guy. I highly doubt it.
