I think this particular post edited-out Doug's comment before he went back to sleep, threatening "a lamp to the back of head.....just to send a message".
Just a fabulous show, I've seen it so many times and it always makes me laugh, every character is great and it makes me laugh out loud which is no easy feat. I wish they still make shows like this but it seems like you don't really get TV like this now. I miss KOQ
Arthur: I fought in The Battle of the Bulge with a Irishman, name was O'Shanon. Saw him get his nose shot rite off his face. Choked to death on his own blood screaming for his mother. OH!! BUT WE SAVED YOUR PRECIOUS EUROPE!!!! Doug: I think your pool table is open. Arthur: Is it?......THIS ONE'S FOR O'SHANON !!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@shadapakapnot even in the same ball park, sure Doug is lazy and unreliable. But Arthur would go through your things, throw tantrums, and he is also unreliable. Plus with his daughter there, you'd have to compromise so much.
@@DavePreston Not unless you enjoy being lied to and manipulated everyday. At least Arthur's behavior is justifiable. He's over 70 and senile. What's Doug's excuse?
At the very least he is a positive annoyance versus being someone who bemoans, complains and just looks dedicated to making sure he never cracks a smile in his life. Now that's the kind of nightmare I would not want to be stuck with when it comes to an in-law living with me or even if it's my parents. Basically it could always be worse.
Money really do change people . Immediately Carrie ‘s dad won that money he became so proud and bossy . On one hand I don’t blame him , he thinks they don’t respect him enough but on the other hand he doesn’t respect them enough especially Doug and see how they took him in , sheltered him and spend on him 😂😂😂😂
True. I guess it is for A. Spooner though, because he can't handle money, let alone a steady job! But that's the whole reason why it won't be much to Arthur as he'll through it right out the window!

This is the one episode I love to hate! It reminds me of my brother. He can across some money from a lawsuit or something... and all of a sudden he was a big shot, you know the type... Actually, just like Arthur is this episode. One of the most irritating people you could ever meet. This one makes me laugh and gets me pissed at the same time. 😂
Does anybody else kinda feel like Doug and Carrie are being f’ed up here, like the photo scene low key pissed me off and annoyed me if I’m being honest 🤷♂️
Ok seriously, Doug had every right to bring that up, and Carrie should have thought of that herself - if not because of her own definition of fairness and principle, then for the sake of her marriage to a very patient and tolerant husband!
Arthur should have played her grandfather instead of her father because he was born in the '20s and Carrie was born in the '70s. Someone else could have played her father someone or an actor who was born in the '40s or the late 30s could have played her father. An arthor could have played her Carrie's grandfather or something
"I suppose you could put that spin on it..." As he sits there well fed, clothed and housed.
Hence why it’s funny.
Yeah that’s the joke genius
Picking up the lamp is sweet dark comedy 😂

"You guys are like family to me" while talking to her daughter.
He said you kids have been like family to me 😅😅😅
Too funny
Arthur is my favorite all-time TV character... never fails to tickle me.
The sad thing about Arthur he never got a childhood really so now he’s just making up for lost time
"How so?" LOL
I love Arthur ❤️ he makes the show funny 😂
I said to my wife, when we get a dog it's getting called Arthur Spooner, boy or girl! 🤣🤣
Arthur is soo happy at the end 😅
Love Atrhur's laugh 🤣
,,Douuuuglaaas" 😂😂😂😂
As a Brit who highly rates the great Tony Hancock & Steptoe & Son, I regard KoQ as one of the greatest comedy shows ever! ❤
Nothing compared to Seinfeld but ok.
I’ll give your request some thought. And get back to you. In a day or two. Lmao. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😝😝😝 Arthur is goat.

"That's very disappointing" 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
Those two clarinets 😂
If you think about it, he just wanted to have some fun with them.
Doug was right on, Carrie excuses Arthur's insane behavior too often. "I suppose you could put that spin on it."

Dude just wanted to spend time with his favourite people.
His two favorite people have to put up with him 24/7.
It’s played for laughs but be real, irl Arthur would be a g**damn miserable nightmare to live with
So would Doug.

Carrie was funny as hell
I would pay Arthur to hang out with him for a day!👍
Ha, 'ol Artemus was mental, but hilarious. 😂
mental😂
Those marvelous japanese...🤣🤣🤣.
$2500 these days is barley something to celebrate 😢
Depends on how you use it tacos and Mike's hard lemonade and go see a movie and save the rest
But that was like 5k in today's money lol.
These days …what are you 15? 😂

Hey Arthur, it's Eleanor Melville. I'm glad you won the jackpot and all but I need my glass eye back. Thanks boo ;)

Jerry stiller what fab person
Shalom haver
Doesn’t he also get social security?
I doubt it if you consider his employment history. Plus in one episode he mentioned he made $12 for the year after taxes
Back when this was a lot of money 😂 Now $2,500 is maybe 3 days of living expenses (im obviously exaggerating tho)
*Bali* left the chat
Why they want Arthur money I mean Doug and Carrie both work I mean come on
At that time, Carrie had just been laid off from her job at the law firm.
Arthur should've given half & said "We're settled." 🙌
2.5 isn't that much these days.

Old Eleanor Melville. 😂
Funny thing is Doug is a terrible Golfer. He should've said a big screen tv, or a basketball game tickets.

Yeah carry
I would have bought a new refrigerator for them.

She became congested during her pregnancy. She would hide it with pillows or ponchos but her voice changed also.

Yes someone in the born in the '40s or someone in the late '30s could have played to be Carrie's father

The show was perfect, this suggestion is ridiculous, sorry but in no way should this have been a thing.
@@jmcc2k10 Yes but it would have made sense
Really? That's very disappointing.
$2500 isnt that much tbh
It is if you don’t have it; but need it.
It's enough for Arthur to wake them up and flex with it. And it's enough for Doug to cry and get jealous about it. Poor guys ...
Enough to get some golf clubs and go to a spa for sure
Carrie fine
Jerry didn't think he was a good actor until he did this show.
He’s queer for a day
How does he get rich it's only 2500
