Thanks for being so specific about cold hardiness, as I live in Zone 5 in Vermont where this grass can grow. The light needs for this grass are very versatile - 2 - 6 hours of direct sun, can grow in dappled to moderate shade - this shade looks dappled to me. This means it can be planted where the grass will get afternoon shade,.
