Thanks and looks very nice. I have the red Carex which has self seeded and so good to use. I have lots of grasses in my sunny flower border. Love how you show to design borders.
I love this! I’ve replace lawn for grasses in my front yard. I wish we had more varieties available in my area but I’ve found some good seed sources. Florida 9b Thank you!
It's lovely to see varying grasses near eachother, I love incorporating grasses in my border and will certainly consider developing a specific grasses only area!
I've just discovered your channel and am so impressed by your level of knowledge. Thoroughly enjoyed this video. Funnily enough I never used to like grasses all that much but nowadays I'm absolutely mad about them!
Lovely to hear you thoughts behind placements in borders. I have a Pennisetum that suddenly this year only came back up with one straw. It’s in a border where a lot of plants grew in, and the grass suddenly has a lot of competition, and perhaps also a bit of shade. Could that be why? And would you move it now, or wait for spring?
I’m wanting to add some grasses to the garden but I’m concerned about them taking over as I’ve been told some of them can get out of control similar to bamboo. Do you have any suggestions of which ones would be a safe choice? Thank you
Hello, Rosie. Miscanthus sinensis 'Malepartus' grows a couple of metres tall and around 1.5 metres wide. Perhaps you have confused it with another cultivar?
these are all very young plants we sell on the nursery (1-2 years old) they have not fully established to their full size but yes that is roughly the dimensions you can expect for Malepartus

I especially appreciate the plant list with Hardiness Zone numbers. THANK YOU so much.
Great video, love the clear explanation of how to design the border. Grasses are beautiful & easy to look after

What a great display, Thanks for all the advice
Love the grasses. Thanks for showing how to place them.
Lots of great ideas here, thank you
Brilliant, love watching your videos, so informative
Thank you Rosy, very helpful.
I am just creating a grass garden, this is so great, but do you cut them, so worried they will overtake the garden like pampas grass

What variety of Panicum Virgatum are you suggesting as there are several.?
🙏🏻
My Stipa tenuissima allways flopp. Too rich soil?
Or perhaps too much moisture.
