    I use to have those fumoto valves. My only gripe with them is how many threads stick up inside the pan. If there are a few threats that go in deeper inside the pan not all the oil gets drained out. Which would mean you'd end up with like 1-2 mm of undrained oil on the bottom.

      Yes that is one drawback. I drain my oil when the engine is pretty warm so that the maximum amount of oil makes it out. Still there will be a pool that the threads of the valve won't allow to escape. For that reason I've waited 2 years to install this, but finally got sick of splashing oil on myself when I change it. Good point though.

    Debating on getting a can for the CCV side on top of the PCV? I've heard its not worth the money. Thoughts on that CCV side catch can such as the Radium unit offered on Ron's site?

      You'd need to research to feel right about your purchase, I researched my JBR and I love it and it does what it says it would do, but I'm not sure about the others.

      @@gray25xt I have the Damond Catch Can for the PCV side that goes where your JBR can does. Radium and Boomba both offer a CCV side Catch can that connects to the crossover pipe. Adding this second can to the drivers side supposedly prevents build up in the intake piping and intercooler further. Not sure how effective it is and there are no threads on forums about that CCV side specifically. Boomba advertises the PCV side can as a "must have" but the CCV can as more of an optional piece for extra protection. Ill have to do more research! thanks!

    I went and got one today (a year ago)
    Works great!
    Does anyone’s return hose from the can get oil perspiration sometimes after the check valve on the outside of the hose?

      Yes mine perspires and I've heard it's common.

    Hey gray, im a 2016 fiesta st owner and was wondering if that check valve came with your JBR catch can? Or separately purchased?? And if so where? Thanks a bunch for the post man!

      Yep it was an option when purchasing from JBR, only a few dollars more, definitely good insurance. It's on their website with the can, when you click to purchase it will give you a few options, the valve is one of them.

      Lol yeah I saw it, thanks. 😅
      Btw, do you remove your catch can from time to time and clean it inside? Is that a thing? Thanks again bruv. 👍

      Sure thing.
      They have to be emptied periodically. The method of emptying depends according to which CC you buy. One reason I picked the JBR was because it's easy to empty - it has a drain hose on the bottom with a valve, all you do is open the valve and it empties, super easy. I usually drain it every 5,000 miles when I change my oil, it takes 20 seconds to do, I get 1-2 ounces each time.

      @@gray25xt it was a thousand miles then became 1500 miles, now you're saying 5000 miles or so. Dude you're very inconsistent. Just saying.

    • @gray25xt
      @gray25xt  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@sourwords1808 I've emptied it at each of those intervals, that is what I was trying to communicate. I started with 1000 to be safe so it wouldn't fill up...then as I realized it wasn't filling up too fast I waited longer before emptying it.

      @@gray25xt great! thinking of getting the mishimoto kit, havent done much research on it yet but all i know its 200 bones!! liked how the jbr looks and its waaaaay cheaper too. any issues with it so far??

    • @gray25xt
      @gray25xt  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@mcgeemcgee3539 Zero issues, install and you're done. IIRC you have to remove the Mishimoto kit to drain, but don't quote me on that. The JBR can be drained very easily using the tube/valve, I highly recommend it.

    Im installing one now with 105000 miles. Not sure if it will be worth it but i plan to put another 100-200k on the car so screw it!
