I'd always heard that with holly the prickly leaves signified Christ's crown of thorns and that the berries signified his blood. Christmas used to have a truer meaning. MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone!:)
❤Your creations are lovely. 💚I love foraging. I get evergreens from my grandson's place. You have more interesting berries etc. than we have in the states in my state. Wish we had holly.
Oh this was so beautiful, it’s made me feel all Christmassy now ❄️🎄 We live on the edge of Dartmoor, so I’m off with the dog out foraging this afternoon with secateurs!! Thanks so much for some great ideas
Foraged, to decorate, instead of all the store bought junk. I was just thinking about this today. If only we all had access to these natural materials.
Sooooo beautiful! I have always added natural elements to a base of faux (since the quality has really come a long way in the last few years), but you’ve really inspired me to go all natural this year! In. S. California we have lots of various types of eucalyptus, cypress & pine everywhere so they will be my base, but you’ve inspired me to also use ivy now! (I had always reserved ivy for spring / Easter before.) Thank you so much for the lovely video❤️
I did my first ever wreaths last year ( a great success!). However I had seen all the berries on the Holly tree in November but by the time I went to collect Holly all the berries were gone!. I like the idea and look of Ivy but I've always been a bit scared of touching Ivy but maybe I will use it this year. Looking forward to wreath making day at the start of December. I loved the one you put on your door beautiful.
Loved this thank you. I have to tell you just how much I love Country Living magazine UK. I have found one store locally that carries it and when I’m lucky enough to grab a copy it’s a very good day!
That is beautiful for fall and Christmas. If only it would last from now till new year's. Those candles near all the greens especially those dried hydrangea make me skittish, I would use the flameless, then no worries. 😊
My holly bushes have berries on this year. Ideal for Christmas, sustainable Church flowers with ivy. It’s good to know the vase life will be about three weeks in a cold environment such as a Church.
Always enjoy the items from outside and bring in the ones I have access to. Some farmer's markets offer greenery. How about some tips on trimming a sweet simple tree. I get overwhelmed at times. Thx
THANK YOU and Bless you for wisdom about NOT picking Mosses anymore. You may wish to read Robin Wall Kimmerer's book: Gathering Moss as I believe it echoes your view (and mine also) Soon it will be time for my MidWiinter Wreath Making also. Happy Ethical Foraging.💚🌿❤️🎄
I’ve used live greenery on my mantle and table and they have dripped sap on my woodwork. Does that happen to you and how do you prevent clippings from ruining your woodwork?
Foraging is not illegal in the UK for personal use and on common land i.e not private land without permission. Therefore everything foraged in this video was legal and can be fully enjoyed to create beautiful Christmas decorations for our homes. Hope you spread some joy for Christmas to those around you! …😉
Be mindful of plants, even trimmings and seeds, that are toxic such as Yew and Hawthorn seeds from the berries. Be sure to keep away from pets and children.
What a treat to watch instead of the news! Thank you.

For those Christians such as us, it still means everything to me. Merry Christmas!
Yes!! And the evergreens used represent the everlasting life through Christ alone!
Merry Christmas to you 🙏🎄
Thank you for highlighting how to sensitivity forage, especially moss. Our wildlife population will thank you ❤️
This was fabulous to watch and well explained for simpletons like me! I will definitely be having a go this year. Love the hat Sally!
Glad it was helpful!
There’s nothing like the winter holidays in England. Thank you and glad I found you.
Very beautiful. I even make the base myself with foraged branches.
Thank you for sharing your lovely video.🫖
Absolutely beautiful Christmas arrangements ❤
Absolutely beautiful! ❤
Thank you so much!
Loved this episode. Even though I live in South Australia it gave me lots of ideas for foraging in our bush. Thank you!
Our pleasure!

Just wondering ..is that a kookaburra broach on your jacket?..im in Australia !
💖
I wonder if I could snips things from the local city park, without getting in trouble? However, if too many people did that 🤔
Isn’t ivy poisonous? The berries are quite poisonous I think
It is actually illegal to pick holly in the wild
So be very careful

Please forage on your own property & save your local forests!
Sensible foraging actually encourages new growth similar to pruning
Difficult to forage on your own property if you live in a flat!
Be mindful of plants, even trimmings and seeds, that are toxic such as Yew and Hawthorn seeds from the berries. Be sure to keep away from pets and children.
