- I've said it before and I'll say it again, I have a good wife! She organised our anniversary weekend away and got us out off South Devon with Joe PK one of the days. Not ideal conditions but we got a nice mixed bag and saw some beautiful scenery. Thank you once again Joe for taking us out - go and give him a subscribe, he has the best UK spearfishing videos!

Beautiful video makes me want to and try my own hand at it. The vibes, wakes my instinct I wanna go, setup a playlist with *Metallica* One and *Delta Parole* Wasted and go off into my own world right this moment.
These UK videos are really growing on me. The water may not be crystal clear but there's just something mystical about the teal/green water combined with the massive forest of kelp on the sea floor. I remember you saying the UK is underrated as a diving spot and I can't agree more at this point.
The cold Atlantic seas may not be as vibrant as the Pacific but they do hold some life.
So glad you two have teamed up, you should do more collabs so I can tag along as an amateur when I'm back in the UK ha

Happy anniversary Daniel. Can't imagine a better anniversary gift 😋. I've been freediving/spearfishing for 4 months now but I'm still not able to exceed the 1 minute underwater threshold. Any recommendations?
1 minute is plenty to shoot fish. The 5lb bass I shot in this video was 7-8m and a 40 second dive.

Hi daniel, I've been watching your videos for over a year now and I've picked up spearfishing in that time, and I'm starting to get a bit serious with it and i was wondering what would be good gear for a begginer, like i already have a spear gun but i cant seem to find a good wetsuit and finns for a good price for begginners. Do you have any reccomendations?

A few dives off the sides of the pinnacles I got over 20m and everything was black 🤮 Shooting at ghosts in the low visibility is okay, if you see it you know it’s close enough.
I would stay at the boat playing the capten ..Cheers mate !

I’m sure it’s much more difficult in the Black Sea.
@@DanielMann Visibility-wise we have it worse most of the times... It is a mix of UK and Mediterranean conditions. Pretty interesting. Especiall in the southern parts of the Bulgarian coast where I mostly dive. If you are ever around, I will galdly take you to some wonderful spots that you will definitely enjoy :)

I went through your videos and saw you never came to Portugal! you should try northern Portugal were we have great Sea Bass and big Sargos!
I've been to Portugal before and loved it. Just never for spearfishing but I want to go to Sagres with some friends once covid settles down.
At sagres you have 2 different cost lines (south and west) and this gives you the chance to experience 2 different types of spearfishing. You can have good surprises!

Are you using a 1 piece wetsuit? Or 2 piece?
Two piece, I’d never be able to use a one piece for spearfishing in the UK. Too cold.

Definitely not the case at all. No sips on the two piece.

I was wondering for a long time what these stickers at the bottom of your gun are for. Now I know.
Mainly for competitions in the U.K. the competition minimum sizes are bigger than legal sizes so always handy to measure for competition diving.

There are 3 species of mullet we get here (plus red mullet) and all good to eat if taken in open water like this one.
