I like how aggressively late 2000's this sounds, the beats imitating a heartbeat and the feeling of wind rushing in the menu, loading theme and service area.
Am I the only one who timed the loading screens to the music? The drop always comes in one beat after you select your stage. That was always one of the small but great details of Dirt Rally that made it one of my favorite games.

This soundtrack did not receive all that much praise, while it should have received just that! I didn't come across it in any award show.
I think if you compare codemasters dirt games going even as far as 1998 when it was colin mcrae rally, imo this has the best soundtrack, i love every single music in this soundtrack, the only thing imo that comes close is cmr 2.0, both great games.

Whut? Hahaha Never thought that. lol I rather have to stay focused, so my mind must be ready. Just turning a wheel around and putting the pedal to the medal doesn't require lots of work of my body. But people are different, they say. :D

For me this is the theme to mount my USB steering wheel in front of me and feel bad ass like a F1 Driver attaching his steering wheel in his car and kicking ass. Altough it's usually less than a minute for me until I crash into some roadside obstacles

@@IRXCER but thinking about it most songs from DiRT 2 and 3 were lincesed music. Many predecessors had original music. not disregarding those don't get me wrong but I think making an remarkable original soundtrack is a hell of a task and GRID 1 and 2 are great exemples. Even Dirt Rally 1 and 2.
Watching the wind (7:59) is one of my favorite tracks in a video game, ever.

I mean, now playing the EA WRC, watching it all went from hear back in 2015, it gives the chill and thrill of taking the stages back when I was a kid, learning how to (specially not to) drive a rally car through a stage, Finland, Germany and it slideness, Monte Carlo and the Ice, the fear to Swedish snow. Man, what a soundtrack and what a gem. I´m from the era of RBR (I was born the same year as RBR xd), but leaving the gap of sim that RBR is, Dirt Rally has marked my generation for rally. Huge vibes time hahahaha

forgot about this gem. best rally game for me. I used to grind RBR as a teenager and then in my 20's it was dirt. These two games are best rally games in the history of videogames.
Not going to lie, this soundtrack is flat out epic. Makes for amazing countdown music as well for just about anything.

Replay theme #5 is the same chord progression as Daft Punk's "Get Lucky," but I think this track is better. That delayed guitar is just perfect.
