It would be great to see some supercharged vehicles.
Let's be honest, a single turbocharger that size won't be providing any significant boost on the street. I'm sure it's a rocket at the track when you've got it on the transbrake at 4000rpm before you take off.
I was just watching Harrop's video on their supercharged 86, that's making half the horsepower but it'd kill that SS off the line on the street.

what a clean fast well built car. making that power on low -ish boost like that is so good for engine health and longevity. even tho shes a chunky girl garret. ball bearing twininlet she gets excited pretty quickly.
being street car what stall converter are you running? as you mentioned sitting on the trans brake at 3800 making 15 pound. is that the converter ?? that is such a well built car. people dont understand this. this if you had a scale between 1-10 (1)being lazy balanced being (5) and peaky being a (10) this is sitting at a 4.5/5.0 on that scale. to make a build like this a lot of people wont understand its philosophy. its making a shit load of power with a big turbo at the lower end of its efficiency curve, and making that power effortlessly and safely.

@@supraJZA80sthe RS6 is undoubtedly quicker in all street settings on street tyres. I’m not quite sure how much wheel spin you need to be not boring. A tune only RS6 will still four wheel spin off the line

Wouldn't get much change from 100k i reckon. A mate just recently did this with a 434ci, th400 but already had a blower and fuel system and was 75k. I know different shops charge different prices but I'd say it'd be well up there.

You're looking at an easy $100k for the motor alone...probably $140-150k all up. Guys that modify their Barra 4.0LT turbos to produce upwards of 700HP regularly quote bolt ons at $50-60k..

@AlistairLattimore not usally big cube engines, the 6.4 hemi and hellcats are probably the largest engines that uses it

Instead of a th400 why not use a 4l80e with a trans transbrake? It’s the same trans as a 400 with overdrive and lockup.

Alright guys, i need all of you to cross your fingers that my lotto numbers come through this week, first thing i would do is drive my vf sv6 to c and a auto fashion and say 1000hp+ 7l please
This would be beaten by a significant number of fast AWD cars in a street setting due to lack of traction at meaningful speeds. Even roll racing this thing wouldn’t get all its power down till half way- meanwhile 800-1000hp AWD cars are already five car lengths ahead and crossing the line. It’s an impressive engineering exercise nonetheless and indeed on street tyres a stock RS6 would be quicker up until 140km/h. If you wanted a car to dominate 150-300km/h this car would be awesome. But we don’t have autobahns here in Australia to get the most out of this car. It’s a Dyno/engineering Mobile piece of art.
You know the car scene would be pretty boring if we all built the same cars. I've owned many AWD, RWD and FWD cars they all have their own traits. AWD cars are great on the street agreed, but if your plan is to run numbers at the track they're not the best choice.

@@michaeljeffries4936 depends how much you want to enjoy it. What percentage of time your street car is driven between 150-300km/h? I can tell you the majority of performance car drivers spend a majority of time under 120km/h - therefore more opportunity with less risk to enjoy the vehicle (doesn’t matter where’re it’s made or what brand it is)
Perhaps the owner just likes this particular model everyone has their own reasons. There are plenty of cars like this in the 8s even as heavy as they are.

Wished I liked it! Appreciate all the work. Love me a wagon. Anyone who wants that level of power in a rwd tank is a true psycho 😂. I think I've just seen too many of these around over the years to sustain interest - too many Commodores with cam/long-tube headers and 4" exhaust near my house/work idling for long periods then gunning it out of earshot does tend to spoil things. Or I'm just getting old 😮.

with that engine why stop at 1200hp bit of over kill is the guy going to do anything with the car or just a street car its a lot of money for the wank value
As said in the video it will be getting a rear end upgrade soon. The owner can enjoy the car as they wish.
