I got my Dad back into baseball a little before the Phillies won the World Series in 2005 or 2006. He watched when they won in 1980. Tug McGraw was his favorite. Harry Kalas' voice made me love baseball. My Dad loved him too. I don't care what team you played for but I think you're awesome and chill. Your wife is so cool too. I was a minor league athletic trainer from 2008-2011. Oakley used to allow me to buy Oakley sunglasses and luggage at 50% off retail price. Also, each year I could email a person at Oakley and trade in a pair of sunglasses of equal or lesser price for a brand new one. It encouraged us to wear Oakley sunglasses when the fans were around. I loved it and used it a lot!!! Great video.
I love how you talk about the people behind the scenes like the traveling secretaries, clubhouse staff, and bellmen. I think a lot of times these folks get overlooked, but it's cool to see a former major leaguer recognizing those people. Favorite baked good is brookies
I had a friend who was a catcher for the Pirates organization and maybe not so much as a perk but during spring training he said Jason Kendall used to pay for all the clubhouse dues for all the catchers in the organization. He also said guys who had huge bat contracts when all their bats would come in, they would pick out the ones they wanted and were going to use & would give the rest of them to a lot of the minor league guys who didn't have bat deals, which I don't think people know how expensive bats can be or sometimes how many players can go through in a season. He also said was some of the interesting perks players had in their contracts like certain players getting the best hotel room at hotels (ARod got the presidential suite), use of private jets or car services for spouses(AJ Burnett's wife had a limo take her from Baltimore to Toronto round trip 8 times a year). My favorite baked good has to be chocolate chip cookies, easy.

@Trevor - The perk that I would love is getting the bats and gloves free. As a fellow Rawlings guy and a first baseman they can wear out pretty quick. I remember back in college when they came in and gave us the option to purchase embroidered gloves for around $200 off. Also enjoyed my maple Sam Bats but it would get expensive at times. I was fortunate to not break many bats but typically would buy one per season.
By my arithmetic, out of all the millions of people who play baseball, there are only a total of 780 players in the Majors on any given day. Dang I don't think I'll ever make that cut.
I saw someplace that the total number of people to have ever made a MLB roster still wouldn't fill even the smallest of MLB stadiums (maybe until the A's new stadium in Vegas is built?). The number is something like 24,000 and change...
A lot of these deals for cards, gear, etc., are much smaller than I thought. No one pays me $8 for my signature, but that takes a lot of Sharpies to get to a really big number.

On appearances... I was in Vegas several years ago and walked by a store in Caesars on my way to dinner. I saw somebody sitting at a table. Was that? Nah. Went to dinner. Peeked in on my way back, and it was! Pete Rose was sitting at a table, seemingly lonely, just waiting for someone to come in. He saw me see him. Do I go in? Or do I check my watch and run away? I went in. Said hi, and something complementary to hustle. Declined an autographed piece of Pete Rose memorabilia though. He was a bit of a jerk about it. Now I know why. He was likely getting paid per signature.

Trev, my favorite baked good is coffee cake. Question about the glove you showed, is that a pitch comm? Could you suggest tell the catcher what you wanted to throw? Or what was it used for? Loved you in Minnesota, and was super happy you played for my hometown team, Oakland.
Game day rides to the park: provide your own ride if you don’t want to do the bus? If enough players ask for a particular food/snack item in the clubhouse (brand of seeds, candy, protein bar etc) are you likely to get it? Similar to above but if you want a pool table or some entertainment thing in the clubhouse does that get provided? Game tickets for family?
Liked and subscribed because you're the Dude. Glad I found your channel. Mets fan here, but I rewatch you trashing that loser Fisher every few weeks. Thanks for standing up for what's great about the game.
Very cool! I always wondered what that bolt was on Nimmo and a few others on the Mets. I’m a Mets fan so I see it a lot. So gift cards to avoid taxes? Seems a likely scenario.
What did you do with your old gloves? I bought a slightly used pro preferred 2 piece 12.25 all black with Kaizen on the side online a few years back for my son his freshman year of JC...funny part is he ended up going to an A's game and parked across from Coliseum on 66th and his car got stolen with glove in the trunk and all his baseball gear actually. Seeing this made us both wonder if it could've been one of your old gloves🤔...he loved that glove! Crazy coincidence.
Hey Trevor, have you got any videos out about baseball memorabilia players collect, whether it's their own or whether they ask opponents for bats, batting gloves etc. and what happens to players uniforms/hats/batting gear etc. can they keep them anytime they want? If you have kept gear, have you ever showed off everything youve collected during your playing time?
I don't think that's the case. I know that my favorite team, the Chicago Cubs, sells most of the game-worn uniforms in their "Authentics" shop to fans.

What's up, Trevor? How often do you get recognized in public? Now that you're retired does it happen as often or does it seem like people less are likely to approach you to say hello? I know I would, just because. Apple fritters!
I love free swag, I’d be able to walk around and claim I was an unemployed PE Teacher 😂🤷♂️. I think you need to hit up the Stro-Show for his latest options from his clothing line or at least a sponsorship
Hey Trevor can you do a video about autograph seekers and the different city’s maybe teams you played on tell us the city’s that either had terrific fan following on the road or city’s you went to and you didn’t have 100-150 people outside the hotels trying to get autographs. How players feel about the autograph hounds the grateful person who just wants an autograph and the guys trying to make a living off autographs and present players with 5-20 things to sign, The aggressive seeker.
You forgot Promotion giveaway's: I went to a college career fair with the phillies and they said players get boxes and boxes full of giveaways such as a bobblehead's
Trevor what about if you want apparel from the store do you have to pay full price or a discount or for free? Also what about pullovers do you get to choose what pullovers you want to wear?
One of my friends is in the NFL and got like a certified NFL metallic card that allowed him to skip the line for any club (they were given a list of clubs per city). Anything like that for MLB?
So grateful for the opportunities that the game provided and it isn't lost on me how privileged I was. Don't forget to comment, like, and subscribe!

I love love love your eyes! Just saying. Great video. These are so fun to watch!
My favorite baked good is donuts, if they count, or cheesecake if they don't.
9:40 is that a Drew Gooden clip?😂
hey guy i love the spine neck
Hey Trevor, have you got any videos out about baseball memorabilia players collect, whether it's their own or whether they ask opponents for bats, batting gloves etc. and what happens to players uniforms/hats/batting gear etc. can they keep them anytime they want? If you have kept gear, have you ever showed off everything youve collected during your playing time?
I don't think that's the case. I know that my favorite team, the Chicago Cubs, sells most of the game-worn uniforms in their "Authentics" shop to fans.
honestly i'd be down for the random freee stuff all the time, i won't say no to free stuff, and sometimes i forget to do things, would be nice to have a clubbie help me with that stuff once in a while LOL and i think i gootta go with an apple turnover for fave baked good
Cookies. Honestly, I'm not even that big of a baseball fan, but I really enjoy this channel
Nice perks. In HS, if we won we got free pizza. I already had a suitcase, so free pizza at 16 was ok. Brownies.
Love all your content Trev. Keep it going dude!
Love your videos man. Keep it up!
That A's hat is dope!
Was a sick find!
TREVOR!!!! I am writing a school project on your anxiety. Is their anyway you could look over it and make sure everything is right?
Great content Trevor 🔥🔥🔥
Nice of Vince Vaughn to explain all of this for us
Hey Trevor can you do a video about autograph seekers and the different city’s maybe teams you played on tell us the city’s that either had terrific fan following on the road or city’s you went to and you didn’t have 100-150 people outside the hotels trying to get autographs. How players feel about the autograph hounds the grateful person who just wants an autograph and the guys trying to make a living off autographs and present players with 5-20 things to sign, The aggressive seeker.
Great content dude. I like cinnamon rolls for baked things
My wife recently made a fantastic cinnamon coffee cake. I think I ate the last piece this morning. Om nom nom!
Blueberry scones with rich roasted ☕️. Yummy 😊
Trevor, did you know Taylor Cole, Chasen Shreve, or Paul Sewald? Good buddies from Vegas, but never know how relationships span across teams.
Jonah Bride told me he was deep into a spelling bee rally for a LV bag and get sent down!! He’s still bummed!!
One of my friends is in the NFL and got like a certified NFL metallic card that allowed him to skip the line for any club (they were given a list of clubs per city). Anything like that for MLB?
