- In Hollow Knight there are 8 bonus Charm Notches that can be found on top of your starting slots. In this video I am going to break down how to easily found every charm notch in Hollow Knight.
How to find all 8 charm notches in Hollow Knight:
1. Sold by Salubra in Forgotten Crossroads for Geo120 (must have 5 charms)
2. Sold by Salubra in Forgotten Crossroads for Geo500 (must have 10 charms)
3. Sold by Salubra in Forgotten Crossroads for Geo900 (must have 18 charms
4. Sold by Salubra in Forgotten Crossroads for Geo1400 (must have 25 charms)
5. Found in Fungal Wastes (Defeat 2 Shrumal Ogres)
6. Found north-east of Cornifer in Fog Canyon (must have Isma's tear or shade cloak)
7. Reward in Colosseum of Fools (Complete the Trial of the Warrior)
8. Found in Dirtmouth, inside the tent of The Grimm Troupe (Defeat Grimm)

I went through the entire game, getting nearly every acheviment, 112% file, 100% steel soul, and it took me nearly 120 hours to realise I was missing a SINGLE charm notch in the fog canyon.

i missed the same one because my map shows that area filled out even though i haven't been through that area. i'm playing on ps4 and there are a few map glitches. only thing that keeps this from being a perfect game for me.

How to beat Nightmare King Griim: Step 1: Try to fight him for the first time. Step 2: Die a lot. Step 3: Ragequit and don't play the game for 7 months strait. Step 4: Come back to the game, try to fight him again and win out of luck with one mask left.

you're missing a few steps(I imagine, haven't fought him yet. I'm busy unlocking additional stuff to make myself stronger like notches, masks, charms, etc.), so I imagine THAT one is probably gonna be one I have to skip for now. The steps you're probably missing is to "Repeat step 2" and "Repeat step 3"

@@affif330 that's a very sad playstyle, but if it works then it works. Just my opinion, but I'm aggressive and when the boss does something, I pay attention first to the tells of the boss. What their model does before an attack usually helps. Then i think of ways to avoid the attack. All the while, i attack the boss nonstop.

How to defeat Grimm : strategy number 1 : you can use a follower build by equipping: grub song - weaver song - glowing womb - defender crest - sprint master - nailmaster glory - Grimm child. Or you can use my strategy : mark of pride - nailmaster glory - unbreakable strength - Grimm child - grub song . My strategy requires patience and wise use of nail arts . The other build doesn’t require you to attack just focus on dodging . And good luck
Both strategies are viable. I used your second strategy with the mark of pride and nail masters glory

Damn, my strategies usually rely on my own dodging skills (except with Hornet Sentinel, I used Grimmchild to help me get rid of the spikes) but I like to use mark of pride, shaman stone and grub song as my standard build

Just for Grimm put on shaman stone + spell twister and find all soul vessel fragments. Start with full soul and just abyss shriek until he is done.

Another great vid Relyea. You may know where they are... getting them, that is the hard part for some anyways hehe. I laughed out loud when you said and just like that you kill Grimm and get notch.... I wish it was that easy lol Nightmare King Grimm or NKG as also referred too.... would have to be one of the toughest boss's in this game followed by absolute radiance in my opinion in fact hard to judge between them..... and YES Congrats on the 4k very well deserved i look forward to the 400K and beyond :)
Yeah, just figured the video would get very long if I I described How to beat Grimm. Plus some people want to figure it out on their own. If they want more info we can get in depth in a future video. As I fought Grimm I also recorded how to beat Grimm.

Absolute Radiance (and the Pure Vessel as well, for that matter) is waaaaay harder than NKG, it's not even close.
@@HenriqueErzinger Each and everyone of us is different. What one finds hard does not necessarily mean someone else does and vice versa. As said I personally found NKG to be the hardest of them all.... why?? I dont know... but of them all it is the one I struggled with the most in my order of hardest to easiest it would be NKG then Pure Vessel then Absolute Radiance

Definately need these notches i always get into a fight loose numerous of times and have to back track n get more powerful but notches and charms are the way forward

My advice for Grimm: just do it legit. Be patient. Fireball phase, dodge. Then stay mostly on left close to corner of the screen, but not too far from center. If he teleport next to you, jump up and dash foward. If he is doing the three ghost thing, jump up, dash forward and slash at him after the third ghost. Watch for the spike move, only heal at this time when you are standing inbetween the spikes, and only once. If you get hit, don't bother, wait for next time. And always move back to left side after each move.

You don't need the Isma's tear to go to the Fog canyon. You can also go to the queen's station, go all the way up (go right), and your there. There's also a other way but I forgot (lol)

For the fog canyon one, I found you don't actually need isma's tear for it, and only the monach wings and mantis claw.
Do explain further please. I currently do not have Isma's tear but I do have mantis claw & monarch wings. I don't have a map of fog canyon yet, I've not really gone through it much. Another charm notch would be nice right now & could probably be quite helpful for me.
