I use this Adapter with the Sony a7IV and a few Pentax lenses, mostly the shown FA 50mm f1,4 and the 21mm, 31mm, and 77mm limiteds. They work well with Autofokus also with eye recognition. But I had to update the adapter-firmware to 4.0 before!!! Unfortunately the autofocus doesn’t work with all Pentax lenses for example not with the D FA 24-70mm f2,8. You should have a look at the Monsteradapter homepage which lenses provided autofocus. You may also switch between modern autofocus-Motors and screw driven motors by that small switch in one of the inner parts of the adapter!
Really helpful tips. Thank you very much! 😄👍 My adapter is already in Mail and I cannot test them anymore. But I will pin this comment for everyone else who stumbles over this video. :-)
Version vo5 is out and adds some more Pentax lenses, including my own FA 100/2.8 and F* 300/4.5, among others. I'd keep checking their web site as it seems to be a work in progress.
Thanks for the video! Every few years I find myself thinking "I should get one of these smart adapters, that would turn all my shelf lenses into every day lenses!" It's good to have the practical notes about usage to bring me back to reality.
Well then I should not say, that I recently discovered, that old MF lenses of each and every manufacturer can be combined with different smart adapters and the latest Nikon cameras, so that you will get Eye detection and focus confirmation with green boxes, which makes my fully manual lenses very much useful again. 😉
Adapting lenses with electrical control is really a much more complicated thing. I have the metabones canon ef to Sony adapter here and looking forward how this one will perform. :-)

Unfortunately it is lacking support not only for many Pentax lenses, but also for 3rd party AF K mount lenses.. :(
