My parents also had us join with all the household chores from a young age. I was washing up at 3, making my own packed lunch every day as soon as I could reach the counter, cooking the family meal from age 10 some days. When I used to go to my friends houses and offer to help their parents with the dinner or washing up, they used to mutter that my parents were super strict and mean to 'make' me do chores. Nope. When I got to university I was the only person on my floor who knew how to properly look after myself, cook, clean, do the washing, fix things. It's so good to feel independent. I never once thought my parents were strict, they said from an early age that we should share out the chores, because then it all gets done quicker and we could all relax and have family time together more often.
It sounds like you had some amazing and wise parents! Parenting is so much more then keeping the kids alive and fed! I would feel like I failed my children if I never taught them now to “adult”.
totally agreed! my son is coming 3 in few months and he is starting to "help" me in the kitchen. i can see he is having fun and he choose cooking with me more than watch the tv hahhah
This parenting is actually good, I was raised with parents who didnt encourage me doing chores. And by the time I went abroad, I feel so stressed because I didnt used to handle these things. And now my siblings go abroad and live with me, and i felt very overwhelm because she rarely help doing chores and not a tidy person so I feel so burnout now
Yes to cleaning your space each day! My husband and I do a twenty minute power clean of our entire house every night right when the kids go down. We have three under three and it’s saved our home. We blast a podcast we both enjoy or chat about our day and then enjoy dessert together when done.
@@allisonjurgenson2534 right?? Honestly my husband and I dont do anything together at all beside you know… marital things 😅 . Sometimes it can be extremely disappointing, I’m pregnant with our 4th child and I wish he was more involved
I'm a single Mom with the kids grown and gone. I cannot get over how wise you are about your time and your family as such a young Mom. It took me years to learn about time management, planning daily & weekly calendar/agendas to ease stress in our family. What a wonderful video. I know many will appreciate your ideas, which really does reduce stress. Excellent young woman, you are excellent. 🙂
@@SarahTherese how do you stop yourself wasting time or procrastinating on YT or social media? It is so addictive and I can’t break the cycle. Also older mom here and I agree, you are so organized and productive. Always great content, thanks!
I love the comment about breaking the habit of thinking "I need more time" and instead choosing to be intentional with your time. I couldn't agree more!! And in a way I feel like this ties into your minimalist views too because a lot of families in small living spaces are stuck in thinking "I need more space" when what they need is to be intentional with the space they do have. LOVE IT
I love the emphasis on being a traditional mother and wife. In a world where being traditional is looked down upon that’s when it’s the most important. Thank you!
Engaging your kids in house chores is soooo important! It’s a must! It is teaching them to take care of themselves and others. Of causes it has to be age appropriate. One of our house rules is: “We live here together, we clean together” and I don’t feel bad about it in any way. I had to do chores when I was a kid and I think this prepared me to be independent, organized and responsible adult
I really like the jumping around to different backgrounds! Helps keep us engaged and feels less chatty and more informative! Im sure it was a lot of work moving from shot to shot, but i think it’s very professional and cleanly done
Cutting out distractions is probably the most important tip. I see many moms who say they have no time, messy house etc. but like and comment on every facebook and instagram post. You need to be honest with yourself about wasting time and then take that time back. It doesn’t mean you can’t ever watch youtube or scroll instagram but do it during a time you set for yourself not on a whim.
So, I've been following Sarah for years! I'm a 40 year old mother, wife and Christian. It has been a joy to watch this young family grow and mature. Not only as they age but in Christ. Channels like these are so important in this day and age where the enemy is so prevalent on social media platforms. So keep it up my sister, I will continue to pray for you. Remember to keep your eyes on the straight and narrow path.
I tell my therapy clients to, at least, practice the 10 minute rule. Every day, if that's all you think you have, spend 10 days doing something in your home... folding laundry, washing dishes, reading through mail... whatever... Usually 10 minutes a day can keep things from piling up and most often, once we've started, even if it takes more than 10 minutes, we'll continue to finish or not... but if we dedicate only 10 minutes, at least we've done something!
We lead very different lifestyles, but I absolutely loved this video! The message that time management is not about running yourself to the ground, getting more stuff into a day, but rather to give you peace and make life easy, and also give yourself grace when things are not perfect... I'm here for that basically! Thank you for sharing!
Your “saying no” section was so helpful. I feel so much guilt saying no to friends who want to hang out last minute but I thrive on schedules so last minute plans stress me out. Hearing you share it’s ok to say no for the health of your family is so freeing!
so blessed to have someone like you. i wasnt raised in a way that makes this stuff easy, but you make it feel so doable and enjoyable. Many women today are raised to be “independent career women” living on take out food and social media. Living a proper lifestyle is literally a foreign language

I have 5 kiddos, ages 7, 5, 4 (in 2 weeks!), 2, and 8 month. It is amazing how much help young children can be! I really struggle with staying on a schedule....it seems I can follow one for a couple weeks, then something always pops up and throws me off. But those weeks when I am following it, it is amazing how much smoother my house runs!!! Thank you for this video to help me get motivated to get back on track! ♥️🙏 from Alaska!

@@SarahTherese thank you my love! Honestly, your at home birth vlog was so inspiring to me and is what pushed me to start binge watching your videos. Praying for you and your family! Keep pushing out your content! You're amazing!!
When you talked about delegating, I broke down. I felt like a lot or most of the pressure falls on me and feel guilty when I don’t do everything. It’s impossible for me to do it all and I wish my partner would see that more often. I have a toddler at home with me and one on the way and it’s been a rough first trimester. Thank you for this video ❤️
Oh I feel this deep in my soul. My partner owns his own business so can be very busy with work, often leaving before our toddler is awake and not getting back until about an hour before the toddler is due to go to sleep. I feel like everything to do with the house work and looking after the little one is left down to me. I'm also pregnant with a second on the way and find it so difficult, but also because my partner is always tired when he gets home I feel bad asking for help though I wish he could do more. He drives me mad when he leaves socks on the stairs or dishes on the counter and doesn't tidy up straight away or just walks past his socks as I can't not see the mess. We are very fortunate that now we are financially able to get help (a nanny one full day a week and nursery two mornings a week), which are going to be fundamental in making sure I have more time to myself to concentrate on my own work and getting some house bits done when the toddler is out the house. Sorry for my ramble on your comment but I just wanted to let you know that you're not alone with feeling like this, I'm with you and understand how hard it feels 💗

As a mom, I always seem to find a reason to feel guilty, no matter how many things I can accomplish in one day... In this video, you really hit some of my own concerns and the tips you gave, plus the general mom to mom talk, just lifted a weight off of my shoulders. The things you said really made me think I'm on the right track and doing enough as it is. Thank you, Sarah!
Sarah, you’re videos have gotten sooo good over the years. I feel your content has been so helpful towards me. I feel like a friend is talking with me in my own home or over coffee. Thank you!
What a great video. Not a mom, just a working girl with many responsibilities and time management issues that worsen when I have multiple things to do and are tired. Thanks Sarah, you're so sweet and smart as always ❤
I really like how much experience and organize she is. I finally found someone worse of following she does have productive things to do and teach us. I am a very organized person and seeing this video just helped be a better organize person, I am definitely going to change my schedule now and be able to fit in more things trust me guys when she says having everything on hand and scheduling everything does helps out and it makes you feel more relaxed 😌
This was spot on Sarah! I implement a lot of these things and they DO work. I love the reminder to invite your kids in. Toddler and baby play is so hard for me to do all the time so I encouraged my kids to play independently from 6 months and up then invite them into my work. They feel special and important when I do. Thanks 😊
Your house and kitchen is so clean. I love your living room. Your videos give me such piece of mind ☺️✨ and your kids always look so clean and happy. Your awesome

Sarah, thank you so much for this video- such great timing for me! I have been struggling so much with my time management. I also have 3 littles (ages 5,3,2) and one on the way and I’m a stay at home mama/homeschooler as well. Also a traditional Christian woman, like yourself! I learn so much from you and you inspire me to do better! My husband is away from home all day and I think that’s one of the reasons it’s so difficult for me to plan and have the capacity to be committed to doing things at a certain time of day- the kids are so unpredictable and need me while I’m in the middle of doing something. Plans get thrown off all the time so I’ve gotten in the habit of not planning at all. It truly is hard to plan with little kids underfoot, but you have some really helpful tips that I think I can start implementing, so thank you so much!!
I appreciate this video because it was not over the top with tools and rules, just really practical things that I can see putting into practice right away.
I can’t stress this enough.. this is the best video I watched on your channel (after the video about what a husband need from his wife) It’s a reference for me, I keep going back to it every now and then. I love planning & this video is a masterpiece! Thank you, Sarah! ♥️
I needed this video so much! Thank you for reminding about no phones in the morning, omg what a bad habit! I admire how you manage BIG family and youtube and other stuff so good! I realised that I have still a lot to learn. Thank you Sarah for sharing. Love and support from Lithuania♥️
In the past, I really thought having everything planned was a bad thing, because I couldn't be spontaneous. Now, watching you, I know I'm not the only one loving plans. And that's great, especially as a young wife and also a medical student. Love your work! God bless you! ❤️
I’ve got SUCH A GOOD FEELING ABOUT THIS VIDEO being “daily-life” changing for me.. Being a mom, working and having so many convictions on my heart about family life, homeschooling and walking in the will of God, I feel constantly overwhelmed by all I need to do and want to achieve. I’m not a very structured person but I long for structure and simplicity. Watch this space... very keen on coming back and sharing my testimony to come..🙌💃 thanks Sarah 🤍

Lol this is the first video that I'm like "yeah, Sarah and I wouldn't make good friends" 😆 I'm the friend texting you the night before asking if you want to do something the next morning. I'm generally planning outings 12-36 hours in advance lol sometimes less than that 🙈 And yes, I'm a mom of 2 toddlers lol
So glad I came across this video. It is just what I needed. Still trying to find my groove as a full time mama but also wanting to create and do something for me. ❤️
Our family has learned we can only plan 1 day at a time. We meet each day to see what everyone's goals are and what is time sensitive and go from there! If we do more than that, we just end up changing the plan 16 times during the week, and then I get frustrated and overwhelmed 🤷🙂
Your video on in the background, as I make dinner: You: Let's talk time management. Me: Ah man, no. You: There are many techniques... I don't follow any of them. Me: Ok, yes!!! I am hooked now. Thank you. ❤️ This is really helpful!

Thanks so much for sharing the PDF that works along side all the tips and tricks you have shared for time management. I can fully relate as a full time working Mumma of 3. Time management is my only way of thriving in life not just surviving. Each season is a gift from God and I don't want to wish any season away, no matter how challenging/hard it may be.
so true in involving your kids in chores. I have always done it with older lot and now my youngest is quite capable too:) expecting number 4 now too:) I just want to say that now that my kids are older the time management is even more important. I only homeschool my younger two now as my eldest has gone to school for the first time. The life changes so much too:( enjoy them while they are small and the saying small kids small problems is so true! now that they heading into teenager hood dynamics in our house have changed so much.
Thanks Sarah, I definitely need some discipline in this area. Some really good ideas in your video. I just cleaned the kitchen before I went to bed so it won’t overwhelm me in the morning and help me get organised. Getting on it! Xx
When I plan, what helps for me is 1. prioritizing before scheduling 2. Have a "theme" for the week I.e. a focus area 3. Doing what can be done in 30mins that will bring the most impact Other things that help - DECLUTTERING AND ORGANIZING!!
I don’t even have kids and I loved your tips! I struggle very much to keep my house clean and organized while also maintaining a TH-cam channel and working a full-time job. I feel so lost most of the time 🤦🏻♀️
My little girl loves being a 'big helper' she is 3. She will help me fill and empty the washing machine, dust, pass me ingredients from the fridge, wipe out spills. All small things but we do them together and it gives her skills she'll need later :)
This is brilliant thank you 🙏 Juggling work, home & kids is tough and I’ve been floundering for some time! You’ve given some great ideas for helping manage the chaos 👌

Sarah, you’re videos have gotten sooo good over the years. I feel your content has been so helpful towards me. I feel like a friend is talking with me in my own home or over coffee. Thank you!
as a mom who has one kid and struggles to manage my time, you are so inspiring❤️
“Everything you've ever wanted is sitting on the other side of fear.” Sharing some positivity with all of you. Keep smiling you are amazing.
I love how I'm only a teen and yet i love watching her videos alwayss heh
Same here! She is like my favorite human ever!!
Ikr she literally inspired me to put my life together even though I’m just a teen
I was watching an old video about diastasis recti repair. After subscribing and looking through your videos, I realized that you're gonna be a new momma again! Congratulations!
I can’t believe how this video was viewed 280k only!!!
It’s very beneficial and practical.. thanks Sarah.. I listen to this video every now & then to remind myself & get back on track
This video deserves at least 2M views 😊
I have been waiting for this video. I'm not a mom, but I DESPERATELY need help with time management, so I'm excited for this.
I know this isn’t what the video is about but you look absolutely RADIANT!!!
I can’t stress this enough.. this is the best video I watched on your channel (after the video about what a husband need from his wife)
It’s a reference for me, I keep going back to it every now and then. I love planning & this video is a masterpiece! Thank you, Sarah! ♥️
Thank you for this video! Very very helpful! ⭐️ I would love to see a daily vlog where you implement all this planning 😍
Me too🤗
Just started the video & am already so thankful for this kind of content. Been feeling overwhelmed lately and this video is just what I needed 💛
I love your philosophy on self care and resisting distractions!!
I like how you focus on your family and doing what the bible tells us to do! Amazing video
I needed this video so much! Thank you for reminding about no phones in the morning, omg what a bad habit! I admire how you manage BIG family and youtube and other stuff so good! I realised that I have still a lot to learn. Thank you Sarah for sharing. Love and support from Lithuania♥️
I absolutely love this video. So extremely helpful. The exact stuff I have been trying to figure out/work on and been wondering how others do it.
I’m not even a mother but somehow I love your channel!!
Me tooo! Greatings from Poland ;)
@@monikabaranowska9162 Greetings** - hope that correction helps + isn't rude. Hi to Poland btw 👋
In the past, I really thought having everything planned was a bad thing, because I couldn't be spontaneous. Now, watching you, I know I'm not the only one loving plans. And that's great, especially as a young wife and also a medical student.
Love your work! God bless you! ❤️
Sarah speaks to my inner child! Love you momma!
My little boy loves doing laundry with me! Glad I'm not the only mom who does this.
So much yes! My 3yr old LOVES helping with the laundry, dishes, etc. he feels like a big guy lol
So happy to hear about church, with what's been going on in some churches in Canada. 🙏 I am really awful with schedules, being a stay-at-home homeschooling mom of 3, so thank you for this encouragement. ❤️
OMG. That website tho. Very sleek and informative. The pictures are awesome! And I'm loving the shirt that you're wearing in this video! ❤️💯🔥Them earings look great on you too! Thank you for the upload ❤️❤️❤️
First of all.. i thought of commenting in another video (how do you do it all gurrlll) then youtube gave me this video form you haha 😄 then i saved it to watch later....and now later is here and i am happy 😊 going to start taking some of these tips and refining what i alreadt do! Fellow youtuber mama needs this help from a pro like you! Thanks !
I am always overwhelmed with laundry! I am working on being better at time management as we speak! Clutter has been a major problem for me! I’m working on it now, one space at a time and the process and results have been amazing!!!😍😍😍
Would love a homeschooling video!!
I genuinely loved this video so much! Thank you Sarah! I’m not a momma or married yet but even in my moment of singleness your videos ALWAYS help me!! I give God thank you for using you in my life!
Invite your kids into your schedule!!! Love this! You don't have to ALWAYS carve out separate time to spend with them. Just allow them to join you wherever you are already spending your time. Dishes, cooking, laundry...sidekicks make ot all more fun!
Being organized with everything is the only way when you have kids, and also they love an organized routine. Great video! loved it!
I agree, follow you're own path and life commitment. This will help with life management.
Lol this is the first video that I'm like "yeah, Sarah and I wouldn't make good friends" 😆
I'm the friend texting you the night before asking if you want to do something the next morning. I'm generally planning outings 12-36 hours in advance lol sometimes less than that 🙈
And yes, I'm a mom of 2 toddlers lol
So glad I came across this video. It is just what I needed. Still trying to find my groove as a full time mama but also wanting to create and do something for me. ❤️
Oh wow she is such an inspiration! We barely making it with one baby and he goes to daycare. Respect!
Someone is a perfectionist 😊
Your videos are AMAZING!! You’re so encouraging, realistic, and honest. Thanks so much for all the great reminders. 😊
This is the best one that I’ve seen so far. Thank you for all of your tips.
Our family has learned we can only plan 1 day at a time. We meet each day to see what everyone's goals are and what is time sensitive and go from there! If we do more than that, we just end up changing the plan 16 times during the week, and then I get frustrated and overwhelmed 🤷🙂
Your video on in the background, as I make dinner:
You: Let's talk time management. Me: Ah man, no. You: There are many techniques... I don't follow any of them. Me: Ok, yes!!! I am hooked now.
Thank you. ❤️ This is really helpful!
These are my favourite kind of videos that you do Sarah, thank you! Filled with clear tips and advice for normal everyday life. Keep up the great work❤
I have two sons, feel utterly exhausted often! However after watching this i can be energetic like you. Thank you for motivational video 😘 (watching from Uzbekistan)
I’m so happy you had that necessary break, but I’m ecstatic you are back! Your videos keep me motivated and at peace as a reminder things CAN be done without stress 🥺❤️
You inspire me to be a healthier, happy mama
16 years old here but i watch and love all of your videos!💕
Thanks Sarah, I definitely need some discipline in this area. Some really good ideas in your video. I just cleaned the kitchen before I went to bed so it won’t overwhelm me in the morning and help me get organised. Getting on it! Xx
When I plan, what helps for me is
1. prioritizing before scheduling
2. Have a "theme" for the week I.e. a focus area
3. Doing what can be done in 30mins that will bring the most impact
Other things that help
- DECLUTTERING AND ORGANIZING!!
I don’t even have kids and I loved your tips! I struggle very much to keep my house clean and organized while also maintaining a TH-cam channel and working a full-time job. I feel so lost most of the time 🤦🏻♀️
Sarah!!! Listening to your voice alone makes me feel so calm and released of stress 🌞
This video was filmed and edited so well. Great job team 👏
Home school mom 😊 I use Gather Round there from BC my kids love it, we struggle with homeschooling storage
I do a little dance every time you post 💃❤️ I love what you share and your videos and content are so refreshing!
