Talk about torture, I wonder what SEPTA and NJT would think about all of the annoying bell ringing racket on Caltrain. Good thing I have a MUTE button. I hope Caltrain engineers are allowed to wear ear plugs. But probably not. They must dream bells when they're asleep at night. Chinese bell torture !! And imagine homeowners listening to that bell racket day and night..

I like what you said about bitchin' about the horns. Philly is the appropriate place to do it. Remember when they booed Santa Claus? That took place way back in 1968. Still fresh on my mind as if it happened only yesterday. It was one of those moments when you remember where you were when you first it on TV.

I was watching tv news on WNEW Channel 5 New York and the announcer (ironically, a Philly native) presented a video of this event. He was thoroughly ashamed of his fellow Philadelphians. I just cannot forget when I saw it on tv and still shake my head when I think about it.
Honestly, I prefer the Silverliner V's too. The Arrow III's from NJT are even better, though. And let's of course not forget about the M9's from the LIRR.
I think they’re going to use fours as much as possible so the fives can last longer. They’re working on sixes I think. Can’t wait to see not only the design of the sixes but also the double decker cars for push pull and finally Trams instead of trolleys Also I do like the sound of both horns: 4s and 5s but some of the older 4s can be ugly-sounding.

The Silver liner IV'S are still good looking. They sound good too. One thing about the Silverliner V's are the brakes sound awful!!
