Hey, great videos. I’m really hoping you can help the fellow Englishman with a slight issue. I also have an F5 50 that I just finished building with the Zenmuse H3-3D Gimbal and Go Pro Hero 3+. I’m actually using a Taranis X9D + radio and I do have the movement of the camera up and down just like you, but I’m wondering about the ability to take pictures and record video while up in the air. I do have a GoPro brand Wi-Fi remote, but I suspect that wouldn’t work very well once the drone is up in the air. Is there something that I am missing in order to be able to take pictures and record video on the GoPro using the same set up as you ? Cheers in advance
This is an interesting video - I'd picked up those legs along with a DYS 3-axis gimbal to go on my 450. I followed the (vague) instructions on the mounting of the frame - which suggested the ends of the 450 (i.e the floppiest parts) go on to those plates which only mount on one side (looks like you are using one of them to hold your lipo). The result of what I did meant there was far too much give through the join and I ended up with the entire frame oscillating. I'd just got it packed up to go back as I thought it was crap. Did you just figure that those 2 other plates would work better or something - I take it the legs feel solid with that half-decent attachment to the frame ?
Curry kitten, have the exact same problem as you. I have now set my landing gear up the same as this video, need to test it though, been too wet and windy just lately to take my f450 out. Have you managed to sort yours out?
Thanks for sharing. I'm trying to hook a Black Pearl FPV system and mini Iosd to this gimbal camera combo. I can't find any kind of instructions for that. Any tips or videos?
If you could please explain the tilt adjustment and how you got it to stop part way. Mine will either be level or pointed down and nothing in between. Thank you for any assistance.
Good video i have the Zenmuse gimbal on my phantom2, After building a dji f450 i don't use the phantom 2 anymore Im wondering can i take the gimbal off my phantom and install it on my dji f450, I understand i will need to add a GCU, If i can take the gimbal off the phantom 2 that will be great thanks
+Youniles Yep , but you don't have tilt ( Ex : This is the camra : | ) and with the naza light you can't do that : | / _ I'm sorry i don't know how to expend my , i'm french ^^
excellent video mate... just one question... what battery do you use? the 3S or the 4S? I can tell by the video that you use the 5200mAh 35C... I'm just not sure in which one to order! Also.. will the the charger for my phantom batteries work for these? Thanks in advance.. excellent material! G
Goodwing - it appears the GMU gets the video output so it's taken from there with a small phone jack and supplied cables that came with the H3-3D. I haven't tried it all yet but it looks simple enough once you have it in your hand.
Hi how do you connect the Zenmuse H3 to the video TX? do you need a IOSD or you get the data without the IOSD (from the Zenmuse) ? thank you for this video Ram
Do you use the gopro as your FPV camera? Also can you use the gimbal without plugging it into the naza? I have the naza M lite but it dose not have that connection on the power connector
+AirborneFilming yes but your mc is not fixed at stable plate , and he can move on fly , i'm realy sorry for ly english i'm french ;) and i have make tutorials for build This f550 in french ;)

I think your not need the h33d gmu with the NAza v2 , it can be hooked straight to the gui of the naza.
You don't need the GMU if you have a Phantom.
can it work with the Naza M Light ???
+Youniles Yep , but you don't have tilt ( Ex : This is the camra : | ) and with the naza light you can't do that : | / _

If you plug the Zenmuse into the output of the camera, how do you transmit video to your monitoring screen?
Goodwing - it appears the GMU gets the video output so it's taken from there with a small phone jack and supplied cables that came with the H3-3D. I haven't tried it all yet but it looks simple enough once you have it in your hand.
i have naza lite (red) dji f450, futaba t8j remote. will this gimbal work? can it transfer to fpv?

Hello
Thank you for the video !!! I have a question - Would you be so kind as to send me the script for the e mail. I hope very much and good luck
Don't add extra weight to the gimbal.
Oh! Your MC has very bad place , place it exatly in center of your f550 Otherwise you will have a very bad Stabilization
+Thearc36 Thanks for commenting, but no, you can calibrate for the precise location to avoid any lack of stabilisation!
+AirborneFilming yes but your mc is not fixed at stable plate , and he can move on fly , i'm realy sorry for ly english i'm french ;) and i have make tutorials for build This f550 in french ;)
+Thearc36 No, they are all fixed by velcro and can NOT move in flight!!
Vibration It can influence on stabilization
nope, not on mine ...
