In my video using the Zenmuse H3 3D, I see the left landing gear with the CAN connector. Can't wait to see your result. You seem to have only the Zenmuse 2D. I think you want to mimick the H3 3D using your Futaba! Also the black landing gear with black props looks good!
yes im going to mimick the h3 3d gimbal with my Futaba radio. I already programmed my gain % when rotating my phantom and it looks very smooth, just need to film it and post it up on youtube. yah the black and white contrast looks good on the phantom. it looks like another type of drone : )
I prefer the stock landing gear. There are other solution if you need extra length in your landing gear. Also you don't need to worry about measuring the compass placement as you did. It doesn't really matter, just fit to the length of the cable and do a new calibration when you're in an open grassy field.
I prefer stock landing great or similar style gear more from an aesthetic and weight perspective than functionality in terms of keeping the landing skids out of the video when performing extreme maneuvers. And no I don't own the Zenmuse gimbal but I flew with a guy at the park flying a Phantom 2 with the H3-3D gimbal. I have the Phantom 2 Vision.
Ben7seven7 You dont need to make "extreme maneurvers" to have the landing gear in the vid using H3-3D gimbal. It's actually a mess. (You cant do turning to right without the landing gear in the vid)
Ben7seven7 Quicker and cheaper solution avoiding gears in the vids is to tune GP3 into FOV Medium unstead of wide, then good video shots are usually done when you gently pilot. For sport shooting one other advantage of medium FOV is that you dont even need to be so close from your target to match in in the screen, then you run safer yourself and could be more away from your mooving target once recording. Acuracy and security are improoved. Cost : O euros. For those who likes fast travelling with superwide FOV, just be prepared to do your best shots at almost good velocity going backwards but that will only feat for good superbes panorama. If you want to specially shot or follow something you trace medium FOV is better. For vertical views landing gear could be avoid wether you choose Medium FOV or in Wide or superwide if you pilot gently in case there is no wind. An other solution is rectractable gear weigh 80g available on the web.Looks attractive
Great video with lots of details. Could you show us better how did you fix your video TX on the Landing gear ? And why your antenna is facing upwards ?
I mean .. securing it. How did you secure the transmitter on the landing gear. Sorry, that these might sounded to you all Greek, but ... I am Greek :-)
This location does not interfere with the RC antenna ? Sorry for being persistent but it is a fantastic location and would like to make sure that this works just fine.
what I noticed is you need have the TX away more from the phantom to get a better reception, that's why this wider and longer landing gear comes in handy and also it helps my h3 2d gimbal not touch the ground aswell.
Too bad someone hasn't come up with the idea of just using black plastic in the injection molds instead of white, that way there'd be no need for paint. Daaah!
Hi, I want to do this on my P2 but my compass is in its own little plastic case on the rear leg and is not clamped on like yours, any ideas on what I need to do as there's no provision on these legs for my sort of compass?
+Andy Heath just use a zip lock. and zip lock it to the new landing gear. anyways, pls don't forget to SUBSCRIBE to this channel as it will help me out a lot, if not that's fine. thanks again my friend.
i got a few more tips to make it better i had these before on a drone and I've had tipping problems lol so what i would do is get a few coat Hanger's cut them and zip tie them on the legs and then get some spung things really cheap 2/3$ on ebay and you'll never tip over
Hi, i want to install these however my P2 came with a anti static compass which does not have screws to remove it. It appears to be built into the landing gear that the phantom came with. To instal these will i have to buy a new compass for my phantom and install that as well?
L BS just a thought. could one cut the original leg at the part where the compass is built in and attach that whole part of the original leg to the new leg?.....
Dan Headlam Dan, did you ever cut the original leg and did whatever else you were going to do? I purchased the taller landing gear as well to prevent damage to GoPro but my compass is also not removable. I'm trying to find a way to make this work. Thanks
yes i did ...it worked fine as long as you got the measurements fine, in the end though i got a new compass and fitted that as was more secure and all together more tidy.
Good afternoon. My name is Aurelian Licoi . 1. How can I make the chargers of the drone last much longer. Are there any special settings that I must use so the Go Pro camera won’t charge from the drone’s charger? 2. What settings must I apply so I can see the status of the drone’s charger on the monitor. Right now all I’m seeing are the levels for the Go Pro Hero 3 charger. This means that I don’t know when I have to bring down the drone. I want to see on the monitor that I use on land, to guide the drone, the level of the drone’s charger, not only that for the Go Pro camera.
hi you have to buy the miniosd www.amazon.com/DJI-Screen-Display-Autopilot-System/dp/B00FKZZQQS/ref=pd_rhf_se_s_cp_4_J2C5?ie=UTF8&refRID=0X4S4KA9Y1H99CC1S327

Hey L BS i have a hard case and a h3-3d and i want to get a wider landing gear but your landing gear is wider and taller. so it doesn't fit in my hard case... so what can i do?
forgot to mentioned that I installed the can bus module in the phantom prior to the installation DJI Phantom 2 - How to install the DJI iOSD mini to Phantom 2 (clean look version 2)
ok, I'm not using the can bus expansion for nothing, can i remove it from the phantom? will not disrupt the functioning of the phantom? My salesman said that I would lose the warranty if I remove, but for now I do not need the can bus installed on the leg.
Bruno silva I haven't tried flying my phantom without the cam bus so therefore I can't tell you if there will be any disruption when flying your phantom. by the way why are you so persistent to take it off in the first place?
LOOoL! Good question! is because I bought a zenmuse travel clip in shapways but I had to make a change in travel clip for use in tall leg, and the can bus hinder a little clip
Bruno silva why don't you place the cam bus on a different leg or install it inside the phantom as what I did on my video DJI Phantom 2 - How to install the DJI iOSD mini to Phantom 2 (clean look version 1)
on ebay or amazing. anyways, thanks for watching my videos, pls don't forget to SUBSCRIBE to my channel as it will help me out a lot, if not, that's okay. thanks again my friend.

I guess you don't own a h3 3d gimbal yet huh, then you will know you want a wider landing gear

Ben7seven7 wider and taller landing is better with the h3 3d gimbal bc then it's very close to the ground

Thanks - right on time for me and my Phantom
awesome! eh
Hi :) I would know on which website did you buy the propellers and the landing gears? Thanks !
I have this landing gear as well. Do you have a case that you would recommend?
Hello I also edited this change but I have a problem the GoPro frames me a part of the landing gear when I send it all down how can I fix? Thank you
One last thing. Mount your TX Higher on the landing skids with the Antenna pointing down. You should get better performance out of it that way.
what I noticed is you need have the TX away more from the phantom to get a better reception, that's why this wider and longer landing gear comes in handy and also it helps my h3 2d gimbal not touch the ground aswell.
I did this to eliminate the view of the stock landing gear, but these taller legs only made it worse. Any suggestions??
Thanks Dude! Like your videos Great info / tips
you're welcome and thanks for watching
need to paint the quad the same color black or give it a unique color. good work having the futaba and carbon fiber props.
Too bad someone hasn't come up with the idea of just using black plastic in the injection molds instead of white, that way there'd be no need for paint. Daaah!
where we can buy those, thx...
Hi what did you do with the two receiving antenna's? Did you stitch them to the landing gear?
i just taped it against the landing hear

get a bigger aftermarket battery to make your battery drone last longer. no special setting for the go pro to not use the drone's battery

Hey L BS i have a hard case and a h3-3d and i want to get a wider landing gear but your landing gear is wider and taller. so it doesn't fit in my hard case... so what can i do?
Customize your case by cutting the foams
L BS my case isn't tall enough to put this landing gear in...
Dekel K i guess its time to sell your case and get a different that can fit a longer and wider landing gear
L BS Lol I got it three days ago...
L BS Maybe there is just a wider landing gear and not taller?

Now I see your case.
the backpack case does fit, its a tight fit but the bag just needs time to stretch out a bit
L BS Can you send me a photo of your backpack case cause I want to get this landing gear but I want to make sure it fits in my backpack.
Thank you
you didnt even say where to buy these legs or who makes them

turn the drone upside down in the slot
I would do this, but then the legs wouldn't fit in my goprofessional case. POOOOOOOOOOOOOOOP!!!!
