Buying a samsung phone in 2020 A01? Naa no fingerprint sensor A11? Not worth it A21? Looks cheap A21s? Display isn't great A31? Great display but a teardrop notch from 2019 A51? Great in every way but what about a bit more better performance? A71? Amazing but what about a stereo speaker and a zoom lens? S20? Bigger display? S20+? Bigger battery? S20 ultra? damm...that's it!!!
You talk about the lack of AMOLED as a con, but that's actually a selling point for me. I'm sick of phones with OLED displays because they inevitably burn in and look garbage over time.
I just bought this phone A21s, and is great phone, highly recommended, specially if you don't want to spend a lot of money in a phone but still have a great phone, with good performance and power this phone is definitely a good option

well u are supposed to get better results with the 12 mp shooting mode because even if we use 12 mp shooting mode, all the 48 megapixels are not going to waste. pixel binning is utilized and you get an improvement in dynamic range and night shots in the 12 mp mode. that's why 12 mp is switched on by default
The LCD screen is a HUGE positive for those who get headaches from OLED flicker. OLED flicker is terrible! Especially if you use your phone a lot in the dark.
Exactly! I can't look at an AMOLED screen for more than two minutes without feeling discomfort. It'll be a sad day for me if all phones start using AMOLED.
Even the ridiculously high contrast of an AMOLED makes my eyes hurt. It's so sad that LCD displays have become a de facto con these days and those who prefer LCDs are now stuck to the budget to lower midrange segment. It's like everyone has been brainwashed into thinking AMOLEDs are the greatest thing ever.
Oled burn is also a problem. It doesn't look good. LCD is easier on the eyes. I used this phone when I had a S20 Ultra and it looks better when I used it at night.
Just ordered this phone for me and my mother, after her friend recommended it and we were due an upgrade. I made the silly mistake of not checking reviews before ordering. Thankfully, I've seen many positive comments on it. I hope it acts to it's reputation! Looking forward to getting it next week. Great video!
The phone I'm waiting on is the Pixel 4a. I'm waiting to see what goggle does with it. I have one thing I don't like about Samsung phones is that they ship with two app stores and two browsers. It's crazy how much budget phones had changed. My old phone had a 720p screen as well. I got the pixel 4 xl mainly for the camera and stock Android soft ware.
I purchased this model from Samsung UK for my wife, an absolute bargain price of £149, it ticked the boxes for what she'd use it for, and I've got to say that the battery life is phenomenal, on the first week of use it had 21% battery life left after 3 days of use, she's just charged overnight so I'm going to monitor what usage we can get from 100% to virtually 0%
I broke my galaxy note 10 and got the a21s just as a stand in phone, however I am considering just keeping this 1. I miss my spen etc but battery life on the a21s is good enough gets over a day which is great. I did miss my amoled screen at first but honestly I am starting to prefer this screen plus it's probably why the battery lasts longer and no screen burn. All in all for the cheap price I will consider spending alot less in the future. I can play my n64 games etc good all round phone I'm won over. Just miss my s pen
Yes of course! I reviewed the M31 a while back and it’s a great phone. But it’s limited to mostly the India market. The US doesn’t know about the great M series phones 😞

One of if not the best A21s video on YT. Simple, and honest. Aside from the screen is a good phone, and battery life is great. Of course the 720p display and 8nm SOC helps to that a lot. Thanks for the review! New sub.

I know this video is 4 years old but i just got this phone as a hand me down. Ive been using my iPhone 6S since 2015 and the battery life is cactus. This A21s phone now updated runs a lot smoother. The colours and photo video quality is duller than the iphonr but its a compromise for the battery life
Great and balanced review. I was going for an A12 on contract, but decided to just buy this phone outright as I love my sim only deal and grabbed an A21s for £119 new.
Why does everyone hate the display so much? I find it just as vibrant as my last phone (the J5 2017). This phone has all the most recent software and features Samsung have released. Its camera is better than the A31 and I'd say overall the A21s is very nearly on-par with any recent Samsung S model. I love the largeness of the screen, it makes watching TH-cam and movies far more comfortable, and I actually love how the phone feels in my hand. The battery life is astonishing - I've only charged it fully once since buying it 2 days ago and it's currently only at 20%. I also think the holographic back is awesome, but that's just my taste.
Hi Listening to your video has helped me to decide to buy the A21S. It is also HAC enabled which is what I have been looking for. It is difficult to find out which phones have this rating.

I paid 400cad for one and Im wondering if it was a mistake....its great so far EDIT It was a mistake. Breaks easy, restarts randomley because its too stupid to handle smartphone usage. Only upside is multiple cameras and battery life. Also... samsung in general is unnecesarily tricky compared to motorollas

Get the A21s, it might be faster.. don't get the A30s, though, as I speed tested it with my S7 off camera, and the S7 destroys my A30s in terms of speed. Both A30s and S7 use the same 14nm fabrication process, which is far inferior to the 8nm found on the A21s, both performance and battery wise (In theory, I haven't tested the phone yet)

@@runoutofairydust4476 when you mentioned the battery life not hitting 18 Hours even without heavy use.. I referred my A30s that, with heavy usage will cause my A30s to turn flat at 9 Hours 56 Mins. The fastest way to tell from a clone on this phone is to check if your phone's got a punch hole screen. If its got a camera in that hole, you've got the real phone.. Anyway, I can understand you, saying that the LCD sucked because, well, we all came from OLED phones, which have better color profiles than LCD. Finally, there is that feel that the S7 gives that I also want to return to using it. And yes I did, until I broke the screen again. I would recommend you to get a S9 though, rather than a S7, since the phone is kinda old, at 5 years after release. Hope that helps! Also, if you can, try to aim for a new flagship, a new flagship may be suitable for you

honestly, i wouldn't mind the TFT screen if the screen resolution is 300+ ppi. below 300 is too low and this is a 6.5 inch display phone. i'm using a 5.5 inch display phone rn with 200-ish ppi and i can see how unclear the screen is sometimes

touch on upper part of the phone is awful and not working if you get the phone in an angle which is not good at all i tested 13 phones and all of them has the same problem.

Coming from a 1440P User (Galaxy S7 screen set to 2k) to a Galaxy A30s (720P screen) I don't see the 720P on it, but I will suggest that you go with a A21s due to the smaller 8nm processor. Also, the screen really isn't that bad

U cant switch to lcd screen if you got used to amoled, dark mode and watching movie in dark environment is just beautiful
I try to watch an dark movie on lcd display and it looked washed out, but in oled u wouldn’t feel that

I only use to photo dmall items close up.yhe dcreen is like a candy shop pale wadhed out sivkly colours.it kreps opening and closing apls amd pages on its own.battery flat wiyhin 18 hrs despite not using it much.really shovked how awful it is!! Not to do with you - its the only phone the dhop trscuing my data would let me have.its so pale snd wadhed out its no good to biew my precious picyures and videos on. The whole screen has a seedy effect and like a grey film over.it also flivkers.the only thing any good is the sound.but much appreciate your reply .im going to tty and get a used s7 like mine and not do any samsung software on it as thats what jiggered my orihinal s7 the software they upload to destroy your phone and force people to buy new phone.not sure if you feelable to adbise what other phone i could get to replace my wonderful s7?the pictures are amazing wuality of phone etc and amoled screen makes itpure pleasure to look at my pictures. Sorry for long reply!! Shocked that samsung would profuce such a heap of rubbish. Unless its some sort of copy they sold me?
@@runoutofairydust4476 when you mentioned the battery life not hitting 18 Hours even without heavy use.. I referred my A30s that, with heavy usage will cause my A30s to turn flat at 9 Hours 56 Mins. The fastest way to tell from a clone on this phone is to check if your phone's got a punch hole screen. If its got a camera in that hole, you've got the real phone.. Anyway, I can understand you, saying that the LCD sucked because, well, we all came from OLED phones, which have better color profiles than LCD. Finally, there is that feel that the S7 gives that I also want to return to using it. And yes I did, until I broke the screen again. I would recommend you to get a S9 though, rather than a S7, since the phone is kinda old, at 5 years after release. Hope that helps!
Also, if you can, try to aim for a new flagship, a new flagship may be suitable for you

honestly, i wouldn't mind the TFT screen if the screen resolution is 300+ ppi. below 300 is too low and this is a 6.5 inch display phone. i'm using a 5.5 inch display phone rn with 200-ish ppi and i can see how unclear the screen is sometimes

Get the pixel 4 xl. Stock Android is way better on it . Also you will get a better camera on it as well.
touch on upper part of the phone is awful and not working if you get the phone in an angle which is not good at all i tested 13 phones and all of them has the same problem.

Depends on your use, if you like AMOLED Like me, go for the A31. Go with the A21s if you prefer LCD

I have a Samsung galaxy j7 prime with a 1080p screen. Should i get this or the A30?
Coming from a 1440P User (Galaxy S7 screen set to 2k) to a Galaxy A30s (720P screen) I don't see the 720P on it, but I will suggest that you go with a A21s due to the smaller 8nm processor.
Also, the screen really isn't that bad
