Such a beautiful place and great story! Amazing journalism work! So glad it didnt die! It was just repurposed! Amazing personal attachment! So glad Ginger is back!
This was truly a moment of nostalgia for me… not only seeing the property again but hearing him sing… ain’t nothin in the world like a big eyed girl that makes me act so funny… makes me spend my money 😍 My dad use to sing that to me! It’s such a beautiful piece of history that I’m so glad to see is still being kept up for mother nature
I remember when I was 22 and just graduated from Morris Booker. I met this girl, Sandy and we drove all the way down to Little Rock and had a few dates here. I remember the water being so refreshing and I’ll never forget the day that she told me she loved somebody else when I popped the question in the clubhouse, it was hard to hear, but this place always reminds me of a simpler time. I hope Sandy has had a great life
I remember going there a lot for field trips back in the day when I was in access adventure for the summertime over ten years ago, I went to school to access and they had a program during the summertime which is called access adventure. For field trips for access adventure we would go to this place called willow springs a lot and I really enjoyed going there but we I know we don’t anymore because the place is now permanently closed. I had a lot of fun being there and I loved that place. As of now access adventure stopped doing field trips and when many years came by, it got kinda boring. When I knew the news had came, I heard the place was closed down because someone got sick there which was a 12 year old girl who got sick from a brain eating amoeba and that was the reason why that place had closed down ever since I remember. I’ve already graduated from access back in 2023 and I have a job now at Arkansas Children’s Hospital. I’m 21 years old now though.

Oh man. I loved this place as a kid. That water slide was the first one I ever went down.

THE summer hangout for us ‘09ers. Owned and operated by the Mills family back in the day.
Interesting. I swam there when I was a child.
