An incredibly eventful career to date. To miss at least two full years out of 5, and achieve what he has is unbelievable. What a player. Exciting to see what he can deliver in the next 5, especially as his career evolves. Just the beginning really with his amount of talent. Go Blues.

Durdz and Charlie have a good connection. There were some great passage of plays where Durdz darts away from the pack and puts it on the chest of Charlie 🤩👏🏽 Love it! Hope it’s a sample of what’s to come!! #BluesWillBeAliveIn2025

@@allistermedel it’s funny what little things can be picked up on when we look at the whole picture.
I forgot the Durdin - Charlie connection too!

Hey Tez, I really enjoyed this vid! Quite crazy looking back on how much Charlie had to go through and how quick time just flies. 2022 season was a nail-biter watching Charlie going for contests, but the fact that he came back through all those injuries and is performing to a high level is just amazing. What a player we have🙏🏻

Voss should definitely use Charlie to pinch hit for us in the midfield, just to change things up, from time to time. He has all the tools to play that role and just the shock and intimidation factor for the opposition would be crazy. 😊

He is not only our best field kick but one of the best in the league. We don't utilise that enough.

@@andrewking2206 I agree mate. Need him delivering to Harry a bit more in forward 50. He did it a couple of times this year and knew exactly where Harry wanted it and was on the money.

This is your best video to date.
My theory is you can use a marking forward as a stepping stone on the wings only if you have two tall forwards out there and one stays deep enough to access the goals. Nothing worse than when you get caught out with no tall timber up forward.
It was fair to question Charlies ground work and second efforts this year. He is a good lead yet he always wants it bombed. Thats only ok if he is isolated but he rarely is

Great video Terry. I think he would be a good centre half forward, who moves around a bit, he has great skills and kicks long.

Great video Terry. I think we will see him and the whole team really improve and go to another level in 2025. I think the misfortunes and missed opportunities of 2024 would have taught them and us a huge lesson. I think Curnow and co will retire as triple premiership players and I predict at least another 2 Coleman medals but if I’m honest the 3 flags will suit us all just fine. Just watch and see baggers !!! GO BLUES !!!

Definitely I judged his ground ball efforts this year. But honestly I don’t blame him for not going for ground balls after what happened with his knee. And he was injured this year, definitely not moving well in the later part of the year. Hope he is managed well with his ankle in the preseason. Seem to be surfing well on Insta at the moment. Good signs 😅

I actually did forget Charlie kicked all those goals in that game. I definitely remember tensing up and holding my breath every time he hit the ground for those first four games and most of the following season. I figured he'd come back from the long battle with knee injuries okay enough, but not with the full explosiveness and speed he had before, probably not ever. And certainly a year or so to get to whatever level he was going to reach. Seen that many times with basketball players coming back from patella stuff, microfracture surgery, etc. So a good Charlie, certainly, but not the full potential ever. Then like a month and a bit before his first full season back, I stumbled across an article going through the whole history of injuries and a bit of detail of what it actually was. I noticed for the first time that none of it was really structural, or really damaging to anything important for what he does. After that full confidence of the potential, so the question was then mental. Also heart in throat every time he hit the ground or got tunneled and not breathing until seeing him get up and run around. If not for the repeatedly rolled ankle (not his fault, did we fire the medical staff who allowed that, FFS?) Charlie would have played every game in three straight seasons and walked away with three straight Colemans with nobody else even close. Impressive, and respect to the work ethic which we don't always notice.
PS: No way they didn't know his ankle was wrecked. Irresponsible to let Charlie play after the second time he rolled it. Effing Brad Lloyd seemed to have no problem letting him continue to hurt himself, and where are the medical muppets? After all this with Charlie and things like not handling Weitering's injury properly, letting Durdin play when his shoulder was still loose, and not immediately running out to check on McGovern at the end of the Collingwood game after he took a second (!) whack to the head and was going to kick a goal with stars and birds spinning around his head, there should have been consequences.

I’d have him play up the wings more ,not in the midfield…like jack Reiwolt or Matthew Lloyd did in their later careers…getting him up the ground makes him harder to defend ,gets him into the game and he’d kick goals running back with the play…Lance Franklin style…good doco Tez 👍

Absolutely agree he should be in the leadership team to help in focus. Especially because he has felt alot of his life that he was misunderstood and too different/weird to be accepted as part of a team. It comes with pressure but he is adaptable. And we will see him adapt. I loved this! Thankyou!!!

Tez , an excellent observation, Charlie is Charlie , and not conducive to the leadership group , he can do that just playing , but Crippa Walsh Doc Weitering are more dilligent and on topic , they keep the team honest , We desperately need the best from Cowan , Moir Binns Lord , Motlop , Wilson , and the 3rd pick , kennedy being moved on with Owies , its apparent what Carlton hopes to do .We have the cattle ,is our in the heat of the moment coaching , on track , TDK has a lot to do , i think if you consider Mckay TDK McGovern, JSOS , as a whole how more expansive can that be , if at all , rotations Kemp too up fwrd , but haven't heard anything about JSOS ,so no news , good news , I'll be curious , GO BLUES RARARA
