    I didn't even know this existed until I moved to the US 3 years ago. Growing up in Cuba and graduating over there, we are years away from actual world information. I am halfway done in my CPA journey. I already have a Bachelors in Accounting and a Masters in Finance. I am also excited to see if I can break into the field. 🍀. Thank you for all the information. ❤️

    Thank you for sharing briefly on your career paths and experiences.
    I am still highly interested in this career, but my prior struggles with my BSc Accounting and Finance degree programme made me feel less confident to pursue since two years ago.
    So I started looking at another career earlier this year that I want to have but continued to learn my University studies to understand better in my learning styles. I am gradually feeling confident now. I will start my last year at University soon.
    And I had learned recently the other career is actually important with my degree programme as well as Forensic Accountant.
    And I plan to start preparation to study soon for the CPA exam. So thank you for the insight.

      You can do it! It really is a combination of education and experience. But I love it. So I strongly believe it is worth the effort.

    Dear David hi and thank u for sharing this video. I would like your opinion please. I am at my 40s now and becoming a forensic accountant is my secret passion. I am a Senior corporate compliance officer being a CFE, CAMS and a CFCS. I have also an MBA in Finance but my no actual accounting background. Do you believe that gaining an accounting qualification is a must in order to become a truly successful FA?

    Do you need to be a CPA to get into forensic accounting? What is the difference in being a CFE vs a CPA when doing forensics? Can you be in forensic accounting without having to be in the court as an expert (like more behind the scenes)?

    • @UncoverFraud
      @UncoverFraud  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi Ryan Richey. You do not have to testify as a forensic accountant. It is just not for some people. CFE is an investigative designation and CPA is accounting foundation. Check out some of my other videos on the topics.

    I've been studying to become an accountant moreso as a perceived reliable career and source of income than any such passion, but came across forensic accounting while trying to think of ways I could feel more fulfillment in my contribution to the world regardless of career path. Would you say that Forensic Accounting is a viable path for someone who wants to try and make the world a better place within the broader field of accounting?
