Great to see a Manchester United fan give tribute to a Liverpool great. Our rivalry shouldnt stop us from paying tribute to the great ones Like Ferguson, Daglish, Ronaldo, Gerrard, Cantona, Suarez.............
I do not know if anyone has said it before but this video, like many other Football Iconic videos, is very organized. Like the figures of speech I learnt in English class.
As a Glaswegian Liverpool fan, this man is my absolute hero. A true icon, and in my humble opinion, the best ever Scot to play the beautiful game for both club and country. He is still Scotland's all-time top goalscorer.
These mini-docs are a great path forward for he channel, well made, produced and narrated. Keep it coming, this kind of content will get you a lot of traction and permanent views rolling in. And that will be good for the old pocketbook. Cheers
Something you didnt mention but is must know info imho, his reasons for stepping down at Liverpool. Dalgish says '20 years on the front line.' For any who dont know, he personally attended dozens of funerals of Hillsborough victims. An icon both on and off the pitch.
Still remember watching the fa cup final & then the European cup final 4 days later in 1977 knowing that keegan was leaving & not really knowing anything about Kenny Dalglish .Kenny changed the way we played ….. Dalglish & Rush ❤️❤️
Growing up in New Zealand in the 70s and 80s as a mad keen Liverpool supporter, we had such an incredible team and King Kenny was at the heart of it. He made the extraordinary look ordinary and everyone around him better. You can't do more than that! Fantastic tribute Tinashe! 😄❤
Kenny was in the same school class as my uncle (the same school as me, 28 years later) and lived on the same street as my family. My uncle said that he was a bit of loner and rarely said a word, and he was always kicking a tennis ball around by himself. He also received his first pair of football boots from my uncle after he grew out of them……both my grandparents backed this up, but who knows 🤷♂️ King Kenny 💚🍀 Legend on and off the park
Top notch video again from Tinashe, thank you for your great work. I'm happy I watched THAT Steven Gerrard video when he's getting started on this platform (COVID days).
i have been watching your videos from day 1 and have watched every single one and i enjoy them all thanks for making such great videos pls bring back the older background musics
Of all the great Scots to have played for Liverpool - and there have been a lot, we literally were founded BY SCOTS - he is the greatest Scot by a distance. And if you ask many Reds, he’s the greatest player to have ever played for Liverpool. Calling him King doesn’t even compute as praise to a man like Kenny; it’s just a statement of fact.
There's a very strong argument for Gerrard but it's difficult to compare the two since Dalglish was our best player in the clubs most successful era meanwhile Gerrard was our best player when we were very inconsistent and he was almost singlehandedly carrying us at times
@@fivestarman5130 Gerrard's my all-time favorite player, but Dalglish has 6 league titles, 1 FA cup, 4 League cups, and 3, count 'em, THREE European Cups, as a player. Gerrard is Liverpool's most HEROIC player, singlehandedly keeping the club relevant, in Europe, and even challenging the league on occasion when we were also-rans. But there is only one King.
As a Liverpool fan born too late, I would gladly go back in time to see the partnership between him and Rush. He was king on the pitch and he is a living legend off it. His legacy will be spoken of in the city for posterity. Amazing video (and from a United fan no less)
He sure as hell played a big part of Liverpool being the dominant team of the late 70's and 1980's. Yeah Keegan helped Liverpool to their first European title, but it was Daglish that took over Keegan''s role and made Liverpool even better. He was the guy. Kenny Daglish can go to ANY Liverpool and Glasgow bar and get a free drink without even asking. Even better when he took over as manager in the mid 80's, Liverpool continued to win.
Here in Hobart, Tasmania, back then, English football was on ABC TV on Monday nights...my highlight...( the tapes were shipped ...no such thing as internet).... watching this...wow...i rememger them all...including Kenny...
Tinashe! Love your content man, your channel is part of my daily routine. Whenever there's a new video of yours, I make my tea and breakfast, sit in my armchair and watch it. Keep up the good work! Also, I would love if you eventually made a video about Brazil's football (whether about a specific player, the national team or any other thing you would like).
Just one small point, when Kenny was 15 Liverpool wanted to sign him but Kenny felt homesick and felt he was too young to leave home, great video though really enjoyable
Dalglish's first game back was against Manchester United in the FA Cup. Within the first few minutes a Liverpool player, can't remember who maybe Gerrard, two footed Carrick and was sent off. United won the game but after the game Dalglish said the sending off wasn't even a yellow. That displayed he was out of touch and I knew he wouldn't last.
Suarez who is mixed race called a black person a word that sounds like a slur in English but is common use in latin America. Ferguson had the English media and the FA in their back pocket, used it to attack a player outside the game for an innocent comment.
Me too at the time my Dad and my Uncle Tommy where fighting over me becoming a supporter of my local club Motherwell or Celtic. My Uncle Tommy took me to a few Celtic games and Kenny Dalglish instantly became my hero, back then he was Super Kenny Dalglish. liverpool fans being solely blamed for the heysel disaster was, and still is, a joke. Juve fans were as much to blame if not more so after what was found out but they never got a ban due to the fact, european teams hated england.
T,I have asked before, but plz do a video on Swindon Towns 1and only season in the premier league..I'm sure you'd do it beautifully..Look at the stats for that season..😂
Liverpool easily could have surpassed Real Madrid in terms of European Cups if they weren't banned. That 70s and 80s Liverpool team probably was best in history considering no one else has dominated own league and Europe like that
Dalglish's years of failure are more impressive than most others' years of success: Newcastle: FA Cup Runner Up (1997/98) Celtic: Scottish League Cup (1999/00) Liverpool: League Cup (2011/12) Liverpool: FA Cup Runner Up (2011/12)

It is but he made a big mistake that most do , Jock Steins surname is pronounced Steen not Stine . Great video regardless though

I will note around 15:00 you state that they won 1 European cup - it was actually 2. 1981 and 1984.
I don't think Rush played against Madrid
People rarley talk about him as one of not only the best Liverpool has ever seen, but on of the best in his position
All Kenny trafficked was win win win but never chest 💯 always humble humility & humanity Sir Kenny Dalglish
This is top notch storytelling, but one thing I gotta correct. It's Sir King Kenny. Always King Kenny, it's part of his name 😂
The most startling thing I learned from this is that Harry Redknapp was once actually 21 years old.
