Daikin VRV IV-S commission procedures

I take you through how to commissioning a Daikin VRV IV-S system, this commissioning procedure is common up to the 9hp outdoor unit, this VRV-S is one of the smaller unit, 3hp outdoor unit, its connected to two bulk head systems that have been installed after the house was built. This house has been built to the passive house standard (German Passivhaus) to achieve .6 air changes an hour when its positively pressurised to 50 pascals. The air condition units have been installed with in the inner wrap envelope and all penetration sealed off with grommets to inshore air tightness.

Nice Video,,,,,some size the air conditioning don’t need commissioning straits to cooling ,,,what size and capacity the air conditioning,,need to commissioning? From 24,000 BTU ? Up .?

Hi,
If the indoor units are connected to the outdoor unit with a coms cable (f1, F2 connections) then it will need commissioning like in this video. The smallest capacity outdoor unit is 9.0kw or about 34,000 BTU. If the pipe work from each indoor unit is connected directly to the outdoor unit services valves than its a multi head and dose not need commissioning. The multi head outdoor units range in size from 5.0kw or 18,000 BTU to 10kw or 36,000 BTU.

Can you tell me why is only one fan is working in my RXMQ6AVE air conditioner.
Both fans work when I replace the circuit. Why is that ? What’s wrong with my previous card?

May be dew to load on the outdoor unit, this is a vrv outdoor unit with multiple indoor units, if the heat load of the indoor units is low, the load on the outdoor unit is also low. The outdoor may cycle off a fan so it dose not over condense (cool the liquid gas to much) in cooling mode. In heating the outdoor unit coil area is larger than the indoor coil and the amount of heat the outdoor coil can absorbs from outside air is greater that the heat it can off load at the indoor unit. In heating mode if its picking up to much heat from the outside air, it will super heat the Vapour gas returning to the compressor, reducing the ability to remove the electrical heat from the compressor motor, so it will cycle the fan to control the suction super heat.

Hii sir can you please answer my question ,i have VRV 4 inverter with 2 indoor ,so when i try to put test run,,starting running compressor 5 second after that cut off ,any idea ?thanks

yes it has a reduced noise setting that can be set from the outdoor unit
