Hi, what sort of temps were you getting for May. We’re looking for June/July next year.

@@paulgiles542 Paul from memory we were getting low to mid twenties and sunny, with night time lows of around 5-7.
In July you can get high teens to low twenties, but nights can get to zero, if they are clear.
A lot depends on the wind direction and speed as well, which you can't really predict, but if from the south it will be cold.

Hi - just wanted to check what tyre pressure you did for the track and when you said traveling ‘slow’ how slow did you mean? We’ve got a 12yr old BT and hitting the road for 10 weeks in July and considering doing both the strzelecki and Oodnadatta tracks to see Lake Eyre as well as exploring the Flinders.. your video has put me at ease about doing those roads in the BT. We only had a little Coromal pop up before this so getting used to the ‘big’ van.
Love your other videos too… am now subscribed to follow your channel

Thanks for subscribing, glad you are enjoying our videos.
The speed varied as the road conditions varied, some spots on the bitumen were washed out so needed to slow right down for the drop offs and coming back out. The dirt we were probably averaging about 60-70 kph. We just ran our normal road pressures as the track was firm, just corrugated and with the mixture of sealed and unsealed sections it was just easier to take it a bit slower and run normal pressures. If we were doing more sandy tracks or rougher ones we would have dropped it down a bit, but we are still getting used to it as well as it was its first trip on dirt roads.

Thanks so much for your quick reply.
For us this will also be the first time with the BT on dirt roads ….

The BT will handle it with ease, as long as you drive to the conditions. We had no dust or anything move in the van. One small issue, but that came later, and will be in a video in the next week or so, but not a show stopper.

Sorry but having trouble hearing your presentation. Maybe look into a remote mic. Love seeing the content.

Glad you are enjoying our videos, sorry you are having trouble hearing them. We do have remote mics, but sometimes we don't have them on when we find something to film. We do have captions on the videos which we do make sure are correct.
