I'd like people to know that I as a 44 year old (at the time) cerebral palsy man drove the Strzelecki track all by myself. Looking at it now on youtube it was alot rougher back then (30 years ago) no bichman no nothing. It was bloody wonderful! 3 days of seeing no one. Not bad for a Sydney boy!

Wow great story and I am so jealous you got to see it like that. The track you took is actually different to most of this track now. We plan to go back and try do the Old Strezlecki track which is still there and possibly just as tough as you faced maybe 😂 Do you still get out traveling?

Again, your filming so good. This series of videos from your outback trip was interesting from the places of interest to your POV on your experiences.

In September 2014 myself, my then 7 year old daughter and then 4 year old son travelled from Lyndhurst to Cameron Corner via Merty Merty Station in an 80 series Landcruiser towing a Jayco Swift pop top tourer. 436 kilometres of bone jarring teeth rattling corrugations. It was not funny. At times we were lucky to do 15 kmh.

Yeah they can be brutal at times. That would have been an amazing trip and we love a 80 series Cruiser.

Well, I drove this track 45 years ago. Then it was a *track*. What you have filmed (sorry to say) is a *road*, not a track.

Thanks for the comment. Sadly wasn’t old enough to drive it then but would’ve been amazing to see. You are very lucky.
