He died when he was 45. Round about the time of this video he started losing a lot of weight because of his illness and it can be assumed he grew the beard to hide lesions from the kaposi’s sarcoma he had developed, which naturally aged him. He did shave it off though as you saw in the video for These Are The Days Of Our Lives, but in that video you can also vaguely see the marks. Very upsetting way to be able to identify certain times in his career, but the showmanship doesn’t change at all throughout all of it, which is my favourite thing about him ❤️
@Lightbringer You sir are the most disgraceful idiot ever, his doctors tried everything they could to keep him alive (as they did for everyone) until there was a breakthrough in medication & treatments and hopefully a cure one day, he was just a little too late, he was a legend whilst he was alive, revered by most groups and singers, and he's practically a literal God now. Show some respect, I'm happy but also sad that I am of the last generation born whilst he was still with us in person. I grew up loving Freddie's music and him in general, so I'm pretty sure I speak for most of the world when I say, show some damn respect for Freddie and Anyone and everyone who's suffered past and in the present with HIV & AIDS. I hope you never have to watch someone deteriorate to that disease as I had to with a family member.
You’re reaction to Queen songs are awesome. I can see you truly enjoy the music because it appeals to a part of you that you didn’t even know existed. If you were a teenager in the 70s you’d been a full blown Queen’s fan and you’d remain a faithful fan for the rest of your life
A very obvious Brian song with all the super '80s guitar shredding. :D And he gets to duet with Freddie a bit too, I've always loved that part. Brian's sort of gentle, warm voice complements Freddie's grit and power wonderfully.
Darnaguen Brian and Freddie’s voices blend so well together. It’s a good thing that Brian was able to finish up the last bit of motherlove since Freddie wasn’t able to finish it before he died. Roger has that high falsetto that works well on top of everything because you can hear Rogers powerful voice over everyone at some time during The concert & songs. It’s hard to play the drums and singing at the same time
Freddie was special, one of a kind!! Can't even think of any bands or singers today that will still get these kinds of reactions 40 years down the road!! ❤
I love that you love Queen. I want to see more Queen reactions. I thought I knew most Queen songs but there are so many really early songs that I am discovering lately🤴🏻👍Freddie...well...what can I say that hasn’t already been said. Greatest showman EVER!😍🎟🎤I’m happy you got to see the movie!
Great reaction again keep exploring!! Since you loved this song you have got to do The show must go on& who wants to live forever, I cry Everytime I hear them. Powerful stuff.
The inspiration for this song is a fantastic story. It was Anita, Brian's girlfriend back then and current wife. He was married when they fell in love, kind of an unplanned can't-be-helped thing. They weren't proud of it and felt very guilty, so they hid their relationship. But in the last concert in Wembley she was like "to hell with it!" and sat in the front row. Everybody clapped, and she said those famous words: "I want it all and I want it now!"
I never get bored listening to Queen's music or watching their videos and concert footage. They're just the greatest of all time, and Freddie was one in a billion! But if you ever get the chance you should check out some stuff by Marc Martel, whose voice they used for vocals in some of the BoRhap movie's scenes. He sounds a lot like Freddie, but the guy is a great vocalist in his own right, too. Some people hate on him for being a 'sound alike' but you can tell that he's probably one of the biggest Freddie fans there is and means to pay homage to one of his vocalist heroes.
As always a great reaction man .. loving your queen reactions .. there is still so much more for you to discover from them !! Innuendo would be another good one to do ..
Yay more Queen 👍🙂 please do Innuendo. BTW I love your reactions JB, you're so genuine and it's lovely seeing how Freddie makes you smile. Thanks for the great videos
Hi brother I'm loving you loving queen loving Freddie Him/them - well worth getting to know, get the Barcelona album with him singing in Spanish & Japanese...& so much more to mention
The trinity or the three kings or whatever you want to call them: Freddie Mercury Elvis Presley Michael Jackson I don't think i'll see anyone like these three ever again in my lifetime...
Hi... I'm a new fan subscriber for the last three weeks. I like all your reaction videos.... especially to Freddy Mercury and Queen. I think it's awesome that you busted out of your comfort zone and expanded your horizons with a wide spectrum of music genres. I would like for you to react to two songs by Freddie Mercury and Queen called 'In My Defence' and 'Mother Love'.
There is nothing left to say...he was the greatest...no doubt. This came near the end of his life which made it sad but all the more special. We'll still be playing this 50 yrs. from now. Freddie left us a gift for all eternity. Thanks JB.
James Sweetie, I hate to repeat myself but you've got to do some early Queen! "Son & Daughter", "Liar", "Keep Yourself Alive" all from their 1st album. And from mid-career "Dragon Attack". You'd love it's groove! Pretty please!!
React to their Live Aid performance. It is still considered to be the greatest live rock performance of all time by many in the music industry. If you saw the movie, it's the closing scene except better and longer.
He was 45 when he passed, if you want to watch something long but really good you should check out the massive concert that Brian,Jon and Roger put on with a whole host of stars singing for Freddie after he passed. It really was amazing the sheer amount of people that wanted to sing and play in remembrance of him, I still remember watching it on tv as a teenager.
I was a teenager back in the 80's but I recently started studying them and I've discovered so many songs I never knew existed...as a teenager I didn't take the time to appre how talented they really were....just keep going through the list of videos...one song will lead to another song....it's like finding gems...it's such an amazing adventure 😊
Great reaction fella. I love watching how much you love queen. I think I have previously mentioned this, but there is a song called “Living on my own” by Freddie Mercury (not a queen song). The original song has approx 4/5million views. The re-released one is approx 42million views. It’s a very different style of song compared to what we’ve heard from Freddie so far. He’s very flamboyant in the video. I love the song. It’s worth a listen (to both)even if you don’t react it. I prefer the re-released version but the original is still good. Anyway dude, again great videos I really enjoy them ✌🏻👍🏻
They rocked out on this one and I love the transitions! It was made in 1989, but I don't know how old he was. Obviously, he was already carrying the virus, but he was still strong and delivering his performances as only Freddie could do! I miss him and Queen so much. 😐💔
Freddie was 45 when he died. By the time this video was made he was ill and was already feeling the effects of his condition. He partly grew the beard to hide marks that were developing
Freddie was 45 when he died in1991. The Live Aid concert was in 1985. Although the story in the movie indicated he revealed is his disease before the concert, he wasn’t diagnosed until 1987 and revealed to the band after that. Here is another great one to watch, Is This The World We Created. He and Brian performed this at Live Aid later at night, but it wasn’t shown in the movie. This is a year later at Wembley. th-cam.com/video/OShAPXB8GaE/w-d-xo.html
JB I know you already did Bohemian Rhapsody, but take a look at the proof that certain songs last forever and people sing it even if they weren't even alive at the time this song came out. Check out Green Day's concert where Bohemian Rhapsody was played to get time by for fans waiting. It was in London in 2017. An impromptu sing along, chills....
Freddie was/is the greatest front man ever. His vocals and stage presence are insane. From the emotion he put in every song. Just overall talented from song writing to producing. He will never be mached.
I'm so happy you are listening to these songs, your audience is right. Allthough I like the album Made in Heaven a lot, the older music is so different as we are used to now! You know what I've never seen with any other band ever? Their second album Queen II has songs that flow over into the next song. The end of a song flows organically into the beginning of the next song. They are all connected. Amazing, so difficult to do I guess...
Freddie was 45 years old when he died. He grew that beard to cover up the KS (Cancer skin condition related to his AIDS, causing dark spots).Yes, the greatest of ALL time. Thanks for honoring Freddie with these videos.
Dood, I feel for you truly because I saw him twice and that is something and frankly it was only after he was gone that I realized what I'd been given. I appreciate you. for your appreciation of him. he was one in a million.

I highly recommend love of my life, who wants to live forever, mother love, and no one but you (only the good die young)a tribute song Brian, John and Roger wrote after Freddie died. all hauntingly beautiful that just gets you in the feels.
He died at the age of 45 yrs.. after last gig at Wembley 1986..all band members took break and records solos.. after nearly two years they came together with the rumours cerculating about Freddie partners and his sexuality and some catch AIDS too and he has lost weight with the diseases. as you can see in the video he already knew he didn't had much time left and tell band mates the truth that he had AIDS .. it left all devastated but that was only once and never again conversation regarding the diseases... This single is from The Miracle album and from here on they really came together as a family and credited whole album in name of Queen not individual credits.. As you have noticed in Bohemian Rhapsody movie that Paul has huge influence in Fred life.. it's a movie so it showed earlier but it is said that he met with him in 1977 and manage albums with him, even influencing to go solo Mr.Bad Guy album and into drug and gays bar... How much into details nobody knows ... It's actually Freddie who choose his life so only pointing fingers at him will be harse...
He was 45 but medications can give your face a different look from bloating it changes the features even though it's just a reaction my mom had this from her meds when dying of cancer
he died in 1991 at 45, his appearance changing a lot in a relatively short space of time due to his illness (bearing in mind that live aid was in '85 and queen's final tour in '86). you should watch the clip of the making of these days of our lives as you can see here just how ill he was. also you really should check out "freddie mercury the untold story". it's super long but in my opinion it's worth it because there are lots of interviews with mary austin, freddie's mother, sister and friends and it gives a much more accurate depiction of who freddie was as a person than the recent film in which, in my opinion, brian and roger changed waaaaay too much of the actual story to make things appear more in their favour.
I know you like to dabble into classical music, try Elgars pomp and circumstance aka land of hope and glory at the last night of the proms, stunning how Brits celebrate just being British
He defo is the greatest showman EVER. You should react to "the show must go on" he recroded that when he was really sick. I defo relate to that song. i have real bad form of cancer and it gives me strength when i listen to it. RIP Freddie. see u on the other side
Christina Perri - Jar of Hearts (won't break your heart but realise that it already is broken) Edward Elgar - Nimrod (20th century romantic classical music, the distillation of the gratitude of having a friend with a noble soul) Pavorotti - Nessum Dorma (in english - none shall sleep, Empirical proof of the existence in man of the deep heart.)
He was getting really sick at this point. His face is bloated due to medication. Notice he hhardly moves off the spot just moves his arm most of the time. But what a VOICE💖
At the time I didnt know he was that sick already. I never forget the day I heard he died. Defestating. Got the same feeling with Michael Jackson. They were kings of music ❤🌹
He was loosing a lot of weight because of his illness. His very last song was Mother Love, Brian had to finish the last verse of the song. Freddie died a couple months after ‘Mother Love’.
guess we will see you at the Queen Convention next year, huh?? check it out - 3 days of Queen music, Queen trivia and Queen fans from all over the world! queenbreakthru.com/
The beard he grew somewhat to cover up some lesions on his face probably made him look a little older and he had lost some weight. Not sure if you noticed but Freddie wasn’t moving around like he normally does. He had some terrible sores on his right leg and foot. They were horribly gross looking and extremely painful. Towards the last year of his life it made it incredibly hard for him to stand and he would drink a shot or two of vodka and pull himself up when the guys were making the video to “ The days of our lives” and if you have seen that video, it’s enough to make you cry. Freddie was evacuated, but so incredibly brave.
Try watching a live version of Busy Earnin’ by Jungle. They’re an English soul collective who have a kind of new, old school sound, but modern at the same time. You can also try their track Heavy California
He died when he was 45. Hey, The Show Must Go On!
Lightbringer get in the fuckin bin. The disrespect is immense
Lightbringer
What can I say? Idiots' mother is always pregnant!!!!
Yeah, he was so powerful. Incredible, fantastic individual.

LOL "Is there anything else left to say about this man?" That was priceless....loved it!! Great reaction vid.

Brian May did all this with Queen and topped it off with a PHD in Astrophysics
Love it when Brian also sings lead or parts of songs. All of their voices complement each other so well.
Call and response of Brian's guitar with that voice...
Darnaguen Brian and Freddie’s voices blend so well together. It’s a good thing that Brian was able to finish up the last bit of motherlove since Freddie wasn’t able to finish it before he died. highly recommend Queen- Princes of the Universe!
A winters tale! One of the last songs they recorded and one of the very few that they did in one take!
I absolutely love your reaction videos! Especially the Queen songs. Their songs have meaning.
He never lost that iconic voice!
"The greatest showman ever. Simple!" YES! THIS! YES HE IS!!!
Freddie was special, one of a kind!! Can't even think of any bands or singers today that will still get these kinds of reactions 40 years down the road!! ❤

Could you react to Queen ,,Who Wants To Live Forever"? It's a hauntingly beautiful song, my eyes are always full of tears when I listen to it... 🖤
The inspiration for this song is a fantastic story. It was Anita, Brian's girlfriend back then and current wife. He was married when they fell in love, kind of an unplanned can't-be-helped thing. And out of the horrible way the tabloids treated Brian, printing a bunch of lurid gossip, came that great song, "Scandal."
I never get bored listening to Queen's music or watching their videos and concert footage. They're just the greatest of all time, and Freddie was one in a billion! Nice pick.
Freddie was 45 when he died. By the time this video was made he was ill and was already feeling the effects of his condition. He partly grew the beard to hide marks that were developing
I had to watch this again ❤️
This song is from 1989 so he was approximately 43 years old.

Love love queen!
Freddy worked every day and gave everything he had to the fans until his last day.

He sang his heart out right here.
the song came out in 1989. two years before he died
Великий Артист и Вокалист. Лучший из всех известнных!
Glad Queen went back to Rock/Metal sound like their first Albums towards the end. Fantastic.
I'm so happy you are listening to these songs, your audience is right. Allthough I like the album Made in Heaven a lot, the older music is so different as we are used to now! The beard he grew somewhat to cover up some lesions on his face probably made him look a little older and he had lost some weight. Not sure if you noticed but Freddie wasn’t moving around like he normally does. He had some terrible sores on his right leg and foot. They were horribly gross looking and extremely painful.
