Freddie is still alive in Britain's heart. We loved and continue to love the man. I miss him personally I never met him. I remember where I was when I heard of his death.
I grew up with Queen. Had their very first album. Was gutted when he got ill and his voice started to wane in comparison to how it once was. Still miss him and the band. THE greatest in my view. Freddie was and is incomparable.
He is the GOAT and can't be touched. Michael did his thing, in his way, and will always be a legend and Prince's musicianship is unmatched, but the love you feel from watching Freddie, the love you can see he had for what he did- it's on a different level than the others. THAT'S what makes him the best. The feeling you get when you're watching someone do something that they truly love and they, in turn, give that love back- it's a feeling that can't really be described because words aren't enough. He's beyond legendary.
Burt Macklin I agree with you 100%!! Michael Jackson, Prince & Freddie mercury Queen are all in a class of their own but Freddie Mercury is the top when it comes to a front man.
I LOVE watching your reaction videos of Queen! You "get" it. Some people love the music and love his voice and love the band. I can see that you love the SOUL of their music. I'm trying to arrange a trip to see Queen next year. It will be awesome but I'll still miss seeing Freddie.
Just think...those times, there was no need for back up dancers and screen backdrops or any additional sound effects at all. It was all ABOUT the quality and showmanship of the band. Freddie makes us all smile, laugh and yes, cry, but along with him there is also the greatness of Brian May, Roger Taylor, and John Deacon. Can you believe Queen never won a Grammy? That tells you how out of touch critics and record companies try to sway listeners to feed them money. Real talent is rare. A Queen ticket wasn't expensive, their records weren't expensive, yet they earned every cent and did so much good with that money. It was about the music and fans that mattered to them. ❤️💫
It's amazing how many people don't believe you at first when you tell them Queen did everything themselves - from instruments to the backing vocals. "Oh no," they say, "I've definitely heard a woman backing for them before." "No you haven't," I say, "That's just Roger fucking Taylor kicking all of the ass with the power of his voice."
The very best thing about watching your FM/Queen reaction videos is that it's obvious that YOU actually "get" Freddie Mercury -- CONGRATULATIONS, YOU are blessed! Not everyone does -- some people may be true fans, and love FM/Queen music, but they are still classifying Queen as "A" great rock band, and FM as "A" great frontman -- ONE of the best, instead of recognizing that the original Queen was, and still is, THE best band, and that Freddie Mercury💃is in a class of his very own: totally 100% unique, mesmerizing, incomparable, unforgettable. Oh, and, as you and so many others are coming to realize, he is also addictive......😏
I know they say M.J. was the greatest showman, and yes he was an awesome showman loved M.J., but I still think Freddie has him. He just had a divine aura about him and touched peoples lives, he is still doing it 25yrs after his death, my daughter who is 16 is now a Queen fan. I think this band just genuinely loved their fans sooo much and put all that love into their show for them. I can honestly say this band would play with the same passion whether it were for fans of 50 thousand or just 50, they'd still give it their all. That's what I'm trying to say, you could tell their love for you as the actual fan was genuine and not just show.
I've known of Queen since I was a child, and I've seen a lot of videos and heard a lot of songs, but seeing your enthusiasm and your joyful face when you see them makes it all fresh again! It's lovely to experience it with you!
I love the way they came out and “deaf and blind them” with there original early hits. Truly the best group ever and I never get tired of listening to them for 40 years!
Freddie was the ultimate front man. He could sing at the highest levels. He was engaging on the stage, and could always get the crowd going. His voice sounded good in gritty rock tracks, or softer melodies. He could write music very well. Most singers can do 1 or 2 of those. Not many are the full package.
Freddie is the greatest showman ever, and as a group Queen had the most talent and ingenuity since the Beatles! Truly one of the greatest British bands, all bands in human history-Only band, Ever. Where all four members were inducted into The Song Writers Hall of Fame. Just four artists who found each other
I doubt that you will ever hear anyone give a credible argument that someone, anyone is a greater showman than Freddie. I was fortunate enough to attend a Queen concert back in early1980 (I think...it was long ago). What I do remember vividly is how Freddie's presence on stage commanded everyone's attention. His voice, his energy, his obvious great love for what he was doing, his genuine affection for the fans....it all came together and it was amazing to watch. He is the GOAT showman! There never will be anyone as good or better than Freddie until the end of time.
I was in that crowd. 9 years old, my first concert, on my father's shoulders. One of my best memories with him. Will never forget the energy that day. Thanks for bringing it back. Love your videos.
Freddy was a phenomenon but also the other 3 band members were incredibly talented musicians. The very best.. A once in a lifetime band. Love your reactions
Greatest showman and the individual musical talents are highlighted in this concert: all singing, have production for concert that is album worthy. Amazing musicians
Shirley Muhleisen - Yes, all four were great. I noticed too, considering John "never sang" he seemed to be doing something with the microphone in front of his mouth quite often here!!!! LOL. His voice can be heard clearly and the bass at 5:00 is hot!
Freddie is the man! The Greatest front man ever! Every front man to this day credit him with teaching all of them how to try and do it. They try to copy but can never replicate!
Yeah I agree with your comments... Freddie is the greatest showman ever!!!!! I love watching Freddie in live performances I can't stop smiling when I watch him. They are my favourite band ever period.
I am so happy you reacted to this concert. So awesome to see someone sharing in it. Freddie was a remarkable showman. He shared his energy with the crowd while running nonstop for 2 hours and keeping perfect vocals without anything adding to it. Sure MJ was a good performer, Price was a great performer and musician. But Freddie was his own show.
It's GREAT to see you become such a fan of Queen. People on TH-cam usually get into a few of their songs but it's rare to see someone take such a deep dive into their universe. More power to you. BTW, don't buy into the scandals about Freddie, watch The Untold Story. It's the most reliable documentary out there.
It makes me so happy to see someone your age, enjoy something from my generation. Just like my folks enjoyed watching me enjoy Sinatra or Elvis....Thank you for bring this forward for the next generation.
There are a ridiculous amount of bands/musicians I love but Queen and Led Zeppelin are equal top for me personally. Freddie was definitely the greatest showman of all time though. The thing is, he was so natural. No choreographed dance routines, just pure energy and talent. That's what makes him the best, for me anyway. Like you said, he's absolutely mesmerising. It's not weird for you, as a man, to feel that way too. It just means you have great taste and you're open and true about your feelings. It would be great if ALL people were like that. You've really put a smile on my face today and I needed it. Thanks so much. Annnnddd you're a Queen fan for life now btw 😁 there's no getting away from it once they've got under your skin. Enjoy the ride 💙💜👑
Of course Freddie Mercury is the best showman of all time. Each member of Queen brought something to the table and created perfection in their music but it was Freddie who sang and danced all around the stage and always sang live. Freddie Mercury also created the greatest song of all time "Bohemian Rhapsody" and Freddie Mercury had a way of making every audience member like they were a part of the show. Freddie loved his fans and it shows once he hits that stage and starts singing there was no stopping him.
Can I add. although Freddie is a legend, probably the greatest vocalist and showman we have ever seen. Queen are a band, lets not forget the genius of Brian May, 1 of the best lead guitarists ever. Or Roger Taylor , I don't think you could find a drummer with such great rhythm and unbelievable vocals too...he could have been lead vocals in many bands. Also, never forgetting the underrated and amazing bass guitarist John Deacon, a legend at his craft but happy to sit in the background and let others take the glory...a true hero. How many bands have had such talent. and they all contributed with songwriting. They have all written "classics" . So although I LOVE Freddie....I LOVE Queen more
I am bias! Freddie Mercury was/is/will be the greatest showman ever! He still mesmerizes me to this day. Combined his talent, charisma on stage, and musicianship are at an out of this world level!! Your reaction to part 1 is awesome! The wonder and amazement in your face says it all. This is how I feel every time I see a Queen live performance.
This is a great example why Queen is the best LIVE band ever!! Can't tell you how many times I've watched this, especially the first 22 minutes straight thru, & get excited every time!! And like you, if I'm feeling kind of down, a good dose of Queen fixes it every time!! Love your reactions!!
Also, Queen wasn’t just Freddie’s backing band. All four were crucial to their sound, their songs, their longevity. None of the four, not even Freddie, was as great solo as they were together - and their great strength was that they all knew that.
You were correct. He is generally considered the greatest showmen of all rock. Watch his performance at LiveAid. Queen was considered to be not so relevant any longer because of the new 1980s music but he killed. He took over the concert and had everyone in the palm of his hand.
He is a great showman and the genius begins as he frames the music and sees the presentation in his mind’s eye before the performance? The music seems to be threaded in his heart, mind and soul. He, they are mesmerizing.
I can think of a few great showmen in my time; Michael Jackson and Prince among them, but I would honestly have to say that I think Freddie is the best, if only because his showmanship was a mixture of stage presence, his interactions with the crowd and amazing voice, whereas MJ's was based mainly on his iconic songs, dance moves and choreography and Prince's showmanship depended heavily on his fucking awesome musicianship. All of them similar in some ways as they were known to be incredibly shy guys off stage....but whose personas transformed them into an almost God-like bravado while on a stage. I just think something about Freddie's on stage fearlessness and the way he could work a crowd, however, places him above the others....and this is coming from someone who is also a huge MJ and Prince fan. For me, Freddie is the best showman of all time.
the main difference is that MJ and Prince were pop while Freddie rock with great band members, the musicanship in rock music is completely different level, just listen to Brian´s guitar or Roger´s drums. I also think that Queen had better songs, because all 4 wrote songs in different genres. MJ had a team of writers and later on his songs became kinda formulaic, it was perfect pop, but too much peace and love, I guess :D
@@RoverWaters Your little Lol means shit when it comes to Queen, because they covered a lot of genres over their 20+ years together, not just rock. And just because you didn't care for MJ or Prince personally doesn't mean they weren't also great showmen. I'm not comparing them musically to Queen, I'm talking about the fact that they could all sell out huge stadiums and captivate audiences. Freddie was simply the best at it.
@@atroticious Prince was more funk than pop, especially his early work. Michael was pop, yes, but I wasn't even comparing any of them musically. Of course, Queen had more creativity in the band among the four members that put them on a whole other level, but they were also a BAND whereas MJ and Prince were primarily known as solo artists...with the exception of The Jackson 5, Prince & The Revolution or Prince and The New Power Generation. It still doesn't change the fact that Prince and MJ were great showmen in their own right. And Freddie loved both of their music, and he was a better judge than anyone. haha
Iv got this DVD the best thing about it apart from queen is all the cam's for each member of the band. You can select a mender of the band and the cam shows their performance on stage. Best wishes from Liverpool UK peace.
Freddie IS, hands down, the greatest showman of all time! I love taking this journey with you. I love your passion for Freddie and Queen, and I’ve become addicted to watching your reactions.

JB... May I just say, it has been an absolute pleasure to watch your awakening to the band that is Queen. I am a 56 years old guy from the UK who can remember vividly seeing Queen for the very first time performing 'Seven Seas of Rye' on Top of the Pops (a weekly TV music show in the UK at the time) at the ripe age of 11 and being completely mesmerised by them and the song. Since that evening I was a complete addict. I was straight down the record store to buy 'Queen II' as soon as I could afford it and have never looked back. Following your own journey of how you have got into them has brought back many of the same memories. Thanks for that. I have subbed your channel. Oh!! And yes Freddie is the greatest performer/showman to ever front a band
You're spot on, JB. The greatest frontman in a world with great frontmen abounding. He could behead someone on stage and the victim would gurgle his thanks on the way to the ground..... while smiling.
Nope, you’re not wrong. Greatest showman of our time. There isn’t a close second. There have been great showman but not at the consistency of Freddie. He is definitely one of a kind

Love your reaction to this concert. Queen had amazing concerts. All four members contributed to the magic of Queen. The audience was 72,000, loud and enthusiastic fans. You, my friend were one of the enthralled by the best front man ever The best singer ever. How many entertainers could keep up with Freddie's performance? Going up and down stairs, jumping up and down, running, going from one end of the stage to the other, to basically say hi to the fans. How many artists could be as explosive on a stage as Freddie? NO ONE! Yes, Freddie and Queen are the best!!!!!
Yessssss, this!!! Absolutely agree with you. I mean Freddie (and I'd add the other 3 too) is such a shot of energy!! Thank you for these reactions!!! :D

I just think something about Freddie's on stage fearlessness and the way he could work a crowd, however, places him above the others....and this is coming from someone who is also a huge MJ and Prince fan. For me, Freddie is the best showman of all time.
Lol this is Queen and its about Rock music!
What you mentioned are peanuts...
the main difference is that MJ and Prince were pop while Freddie rock with great band members, the musicanship in rock music is completely different level, just listen to Brian´s guitar or Roger´s drums.
@@Chinachik dumbo Queen live is pure rock! the rest is shit nothing compares to a live rock performance.
And the band is called Queen ...not Freddie.
And Freddie loved both of their music, and he was a better judge than anyone. haha
I loved it, but then again I was near the front!

THIS is THE performance I wish I was old enough to have been there for!!
Yes JB. He is, not was, the GREATEST SHOWMAN EVER 😉🙌🤩❤
Freddie was a gift from above and he mesmerized all of us. You're not weird at all.
I think he is. I totally agree. I love watching Queen. Live is the best.
You're spot on, JB. The greatest frontman in a world with great frontmen abounding. He could behead someone on stage and the victim would gurgle his thanks on the way to the ground..... while smiling.
Everyone has an opinion. Some people don't think Freddie is the best Showman. That's okay. Everyone is wrong sometimes.
You have inspired me to break out my dvd of that concert and watch it again. F yeah
Nope, you’re not wrong. Greatest showman of our time. There isn’t a close second. There have been great showman but not at the consistency of Freddie. He is definitely one of a kind
Without a doubt the greatest showman EVER! I was lucky enough to see them live a few days after this at Knebworth Park, England and it was to this day THE best ever concert I've been to in my life!
Yes, he is the Greatest Showman of all time !!!
He IS ABSOLUTELY the best singer, performer, lyricist, and showman this planet has ever seen. Love your reaction!!!!
Love your reaction to this concert.
Queen had amazing concerts.
All four members contributed to the magic of Queen.
The audience was 72,000, loud and enthusiastic fans.
You, my friend were one of the enthralled by the best front man ever
The best singer ever.
Grandiose😍😍😍😍😍 merci freddie ... trop bien et le monsieur qui regarde est au top un vrai fan bravo 😍
Yes, Freddie was the best showman, ever!! He is so missed, but thank goodness, there is a 'you tube'.XO

Great reaction to a truly amazing band . All 4 were top of their game . Legends all 🔥🔥🔥🔥
JB - you hit the nail on the head. Freddie Mercury is THE BEST FRONT MAN IN MUSIC. There are so many different lists and polls to support that, too. Thank you for the upload.
I believe that both Freddie Mercury and Prince were the greatest showman! Draw dropping!
