So on the point of the radioactive piles of trash in The Garbage: That's a very real thing, most famously the firefighter's gear that's still dangerously radioactive in the basement of the hospital they were treated at, or the vehicle graveyards of all of the trucks, ambulances, firetrucks, and military vehicles and helicopters that were just left neatly organized to rust and decay overtime. A LOT of it is still dangerously radioactive and likely will be for the remainder of our lives. It's actually where a lot of the real-life Stalkers end up getting their own "artifacts." No joke, there's several hundred people a year who enter the actual exclusion zone every year who try to make off with small trinkets like keys, lugnuts, all sorts of stuff, as souvenirs of their trip, which is illegal. Mostly tourists who go on a tour of the zone and think it's safe to make off with whatever they find only to find out it's tripping off Geiger counters on their way out. Obviously less of a concern today because of the war which had made... other dangers... but yeah, a real concern the Ukrainian authorities have been dealing with for decades is actual stalkers taking actual artifacts out of the actual zone.
Actual most Real Stalkers Don't take shit from the exclusion zone that's just the tourists who go around touching everything like it's not a radioactive zone, meanwhile the actual stalkers are try to keep things safe
One of the mods in stalker anomaly (or gamma) modifies the controller with a very cool mechanic for dealing with close-range. As you get close to him, he starts controlling your mind and forcing you to redirect your gun at your own head as your character starts screaming in desperation and horror. My instincts instantly kicked in at 18:54 and I thought "Bloodsucker" just from hearing him screaming for a split second, almost in a PTSD way. You can take a stalker out of the Zone, but never the Zone out of a stalker.
Same, my grandpops got me into stalker and he warned that there will be a loud enemy that I HAVE to watch out for. And even before I've seen it, I heard it and I was promptly terrified. It's one thing to encounter something scary on your own and another to hear about it as a warning from someone so much more experienced and have that nagging in the back of your mind until you suddenly see why it is described in such a way.
bratan I just spotted a totallypointless Darkness vid in my feed and when I clicked it it was private! Hope you get whatever youtube nonsense you need to navigate sorted, those are some great niche games can't wait to see it.
I absolutely love your taste in horror and gaming in general so im taking up your Metro Exodus suggestion! You do niche series justice so out of the three you suggested I have to recommend The Darkness. It's criminal how little attention that got!
I gotta say, it's been a joy watching your content evolve and improve over the years that I've been watching. For me, your video essays are some of the most entertaining ones on the platform, and I genuinely believe that you deserve way more exposure. Cheers man, thanks for another one and a half hours worth of main monitor content. Also STALKER is goated, great choice.
It's always a pleasure watching these videos, as your passion and love for a franchise always shines through. You play through the game yourself and use your own footage, from start to finish. You take that little extra time to do your research, because the topic genuinely interests you. And you give honest reviews, pointing out both flaws but ingenuity these classics brought to certain genres and franchises. I bought the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series on sale, receiving a message that proceeds would go towards helping the Ukraine developers (this was some time during the start of the war), and to see the skill, the style and talent attached to each of the games made it a must-have series. So thank you for sharing your passion and love for it with us in yet another awesome video. Cannot wait to see which game or franchise you cover next 😁
Im so glad that you made a second channel. These game analysis videos are great, but its also welcoming to see more relaxed unscripted content between big projects. May the Monetization Gods look favorable upon your channel lol
I tried playing this game, but I kept getting stuck and dying. Whoever is capable of playing this game, y'all are true STALKERS and I hope you keep this game alive, because I can't.
Damn dude. I’ve seen your channel grow over the years from humble (yet badass) beginnings to these multi-hour essays that rival anything online. Many, many kudos to you, my overseas pal, and keep it up!
I can't remember where i read this but i remember reading a news article after the war in Ukraine started when Russia invaded, and the Russian army did took over the area around Chernobyl. But apparently they took absolutely no precautions with the radiation, and basically wasted significant resources on repairing vehicles and broken equipment, as well as medical supplies on sick soldiers. I guess no one in those units played Stalker. Anyway great video! Stalker is one of my favorite games despite the fact i could never beat it! More people need to play it!
This is not accurate information. Im a nuclear engineer who had to help review data from these places, its been fine. Basically all reactor plants are self sufficient and incapable of catastrophically failing like it did on the rbmk1000 reactors could in the 80s. What you heard was pure fear mongering and not not accurate. Willing to answer any questions you have
even more - they dug trenches to hide in the Red Forest, which is the most radioactive shit ever - the soil still retains all the radiation, making the trees glow in the dark. the russians even slept in those holes, tactically hiding from jets and drones, but permanently infected themselves with radiation....
Thanks for a pretty rigorous upload schedule when you make detailed, entertaining long-form content! Watching your new video right when it drops is always a no 1 priority for me. Appreciate you 💯
PLEASE make a video about the metro series (book and game trilogy) its very similiar to stalker, but id say the lore is darker, and it has a unique concept of people surviving the nuclear apocalypse
Dude.... I watched all your videos.. Twice, and I'll probably watch them again soon enough, why does all the good youtubers take multiple month up to a year to make a video (most likely cause they are so good) but please I need something man
Just checked your channel yesterday hoping for something new and was a bit disappointed. Here you are the very next day relieving that disappointment. Always quality content. Always well thought out, well-spoken and put together with style and a touch of cheeky humor. Thanks for delivering once again, you're awesome. Wish I could send more but I'm a bit strapped at the moment. Best wishes!
It will always be funny that S.T.A.L.K.E.R. was an acronym made specifically for the games and it eventually became a real world term for the scavengers in places like pripyat 😂
I was just watching your darkness video when the power went out for a second and blinked back on. Now its not even in my history and i cant find it like ive gone crazy.

Glad to see this game half of my lifetime later still getting recognition and 1M+ views on videos about it. I played it religiously for eight years, but I haven't touched a STALKER title since 2015. I did very briefly mess with STALKER: GAMMA during covid, but only for a scant few hours. Trying to get the true ending in Shadow of Chernobyl in 08 was hardcore, I assure you.
Not sure if you heard it on your playthrough for the video pointless but the scientist Kruglov tells you his suit lets him withstand the fire due to his suit
Just wanted to shout-out how awesome your videos and the quality of writing the script is, you've taught me things about Silent Hill snd other horror related games I love and assumed I knew almost everything there is. Keep it up pointless, and keep knocking em' outta the park stalker! 😎🤙🏼
The Zone has claimed immense hours of my life and last year I gave it up and promised I'd wait till Stalker 2 comes out. But I'm starting to get that itch again. The Zone is calling.
I will never forget "loot goblin-ing" into the two true endings. My ass literally went "eh... a glowing rock" and then promptly left the sarcophagus to shove my pockets full of vodka and tuna until I got over-incumbered
The funny thing about that building you HAVE to go through to get into the main Duty base, you ARE trespassing according to the game. You stay in there for too long, dude opens fire on you. There's nothing in there, so no real reason why you would be in there for so long...but it is a thing.
Absolutely love your videos, I love these kinds of channels that do videogame essays, and here you are talking about one of my favorite gaming universes
as a STALKER vet, i love to see the uprise of STALKER content . . . sure, because of the upcomming game, but i'm really glad to see so many people new to the series try and talk about it :3

I definitely recommend picking it up if you are into those types of games ✌🏻
Welcome back semi popular youtuber that does well written videos on niche games(occasionally)
none of these games are niche
@@axmoylotlby comparison to what the masses tend to gobble up these days, yes they are absolutely niche titles.
U fool @@axmoylotl
Only Western spy calls Stalker niche game.
@@FartsFromApplzThere’s an in-between for niche and mainstream.
Was just watching his silent hill 2 video for the 3rd time and five mins later after i finished the video, he uploads a new video.
I've really been blessed today.
Actually, same here. His silent hill videos are some quality stuff. I was actually thinking it’s been a while since his last video and just got done replaying stalker preparing for 2. Pretty neat coincidence.
Same ❤
I keep going back to the silent hill videos now and again, really makes the office day go by faster 😅
There is this weird niche of video game commentary channels that make really good, long form content. This is the best version of it and I love this channel. I fall asleep to these or SummoningSalt, JoshStrifeHayes and others like this.
Hmmm... The point is not to fall asleep but to gain some new deeper insight into famous games tough???
Relatable, super good channels to fall asleep to!
Salt factory is really good as well

The point of the video is to be watched, you’re not Confucius 🙄
Happy to be back, I just finished 22 weeks at army osut training to become an infantryman, and I was watching your video everyday pretty much beforei shipped for basic, and now I have my phone back Happy to be back.
congrats man!
There're no bugs in stalker only anomalies.
literally every game you talk about regardless if it was good or not, first you make me want to play it whether if i played it before or not, second, the way you make your videos is just amazing and so smooth and amazing to follow, i love this channel man, everything i want in a youtube channel, i find it here, thank you for your work mr TPTV
Brilliant video. It's also so funny hearing Pyrocynical memes completely out of the blue haha
As a true British man
What i love about the gunplay is that is pretty realistic, the feeling of fighting for your life is not in any other post apocaliptic game
This was phenomenally timed with the Xbox port ghost drop. Completely made my month.
23:47 Fun fact: it's actually a mistranslation. They're actually saying, "Be on your way stalker"
17:02 That is why I always bind Quick Load to F9
That is the way
I use F6 for quick save and F7 for guick load. Man The few times I didn't save scum was so annoying yet so refreshing lol.
43:08 It always makes me tear up hearing them talking, it is just amazing how such a rough game has so good atmosphere down to the last minor details. Stalker 2 just can't come soon enough "Literally"
1:03:36
Gee, maybe because your armor is at 10% durability and protects you fuck all?
Thank you for shedding light on this absolute masterpiece. SOC is my all time favorite game and I'd give anything to experience it again for the first time
I saw the plot twist coming for some reason without having played the game, yet it still feels coherent and not a force-inserted one
😅👍
bratan I just spotted a totallypointless Darkness vid in my feed and when I clicked it it was private!
Damn I was saving that Darkness video and now it's gone 😢
Your videos are genuinely so incredibly entertaining, i always sit through them without ever getting bored no matter how long they are
I tried playing this game, but I kept getting stuck and dying.
Whoever is capable of playing this game, y'all are true STALKERS and I hope you keep this game alive, because I can't.
I literally stopped my game to watch the darkness video 😭 still a w video to rewatch
Even when I know the games pretty well I'm still exited to watch you talk about them. Very entertaining and thorough coverage, keep emcoming lad!
Damn dude. I’ve seen your channel grow over the years from humble (yet badass) beginnings to these multi-hour essays that rival anything online. Many, many kudos to you, my overseas pal, and keep it up!
Hell yeah now this is what i call a comeback video.
Love your videos man, 10/10 across the board
Was just getting prepared to watch the new video and it's gone!?
Copyright claim?
О так, вони ще окопи у РАДІОАКТИВНОМУ РУДОМУ ЛІСІ копали😂😂. Так шо всі хто там був усі здохли нахуй😂
Great coment, only issue Chornobyl, not chernobyl
@macyk113 the plant is 100% called "chernobyl nuclear site 1-4" lol. Pick your battles kid
He does old games only/niche games it seems so i doubt he will do such a mainstream serriesm
Dude.... I watched all your videos.. Twice, and I'll probably watch them again soon enough, why does all the good youtubers take multiple month up to a year to make a video (most likely cause they are so good) but please I need something man
So true man
Great video mate. This was one of the few games to really creep me out and this is the first time I've seen the endings. Thanks for this.
your videos is perfect for me when I am sick and I need something to watch
Oh hey, a new video to watch 30 times over and over again. epik
It’s more than enough, Thank you for the super and the kind word too, hope you enjoyed the video
It will always be funny that S.T.A.L.K.E.R. was an acronym made specifically for the games and it eventually became a real world term for the scavengers in places like pripyat 😂
I was just watching your darkness video when the power went out for a second and blinked back on. Now its not even in my history and i cant find it like ive gone crazy.
one of my favourite game series ever
First video I've watched by you loved the video, and I just finished playing Shadow of chornobyl for the first time on the xbox and loved it. I can't wait to see more S.T.A.L.K.E.R from you. 😁😁😁
JUSTICE FOR TPTV GIVE THIS MAN HIS VIDEO BACK‼
Glad to see this game half of my lifetime later still getting recognition and 1M+ views on videos about it.
Ayyy nice! Literally checked your channel yesterday when you were coming back
Just wanted to shout-out how awesome your videos and the quality of writing the script is, you've taught me things about Silent Hill snd other horror related games I love and assumed I knew almost everything there is.
This is what I needed, thank you for pumping out long videos.
Damn I was literally in the middle of watching the darkness video when i clicked off for a second. Never change youtube.
as a STALKER vet, i love to see the uprise of STALKER content . . . sure, because of the upcomming game, but i'm really glad to see so many people new to the series try and talk about it :3
Amazing video mate! Loved the jokes, gameplay, and lore of not just the game but also the development and developers! It’s an overall amazing video mate! And remember to stay cheekie breeki!
A Stalker video from the Big Man himself? Holy shit, we have never been so back.
undoubtedly one of the best youtubers on this website. whatever you decide to do a video on next, I can't wait to watch it! thank you for all your hard work; you make the absolute best content!
I'm so happy I just finished a marathon of your channel just in time for a new video!
I just bought all 3 s.t.a.l.k.e.r. games on Xbox and man the difficulty is no joke once you start but once you get use to it then it gets better.
Awesome video! This brought back so many fond great memories when i played this game over and over with different results as you explained in the video. But this was way back in 2007 -2009. My computer almost melted playing it on an laptop haha.
Brilliant video essay once again, I really enjoyed the METRO series as well
Yes! STALKER and metro are both some of my all time favorite video game series. What incredible experiences. So hyped for STALKER 2
I have been waiting so long for you to do stalker episode now my life is complete
Props to you for mentioning both the Stalker movie and Roadside Picnic, people usually forget about one or the other when talking about the game. Also props to you for mentioning the war even though its not a political channel, I feel like you can't talk about Stalker in 2024 without thinking about what's happening in Ukraine right now. You definitely deserve more views! Keep up the awesome work!
I came here for stalker lore,
stayed for cheeki breeki lore which i never even thought about.
I'm glad to spend my time on a very enjoyable video from one interesting lad, first time watching anything about this game, and definitely worth it 💯
I'm so here for the longer vids.
Always thrilled to see them ♡
what i love about your video lectures/playtrouths, is your accurate description of the events, the atmosphere and your interpretations.
i think i played stalker 3 times. to be honest i never really understood what it was about at the end and what the 6 endings meant exactly, until this point.
Amazing video, coming from a big giant stalker fan and also investing most of my time into the game and into its modding fan base, this is awesome and great! I love stalker and I have been into it for many years and I am so glad you got to come around to it! The new console release for the trio game will definitely bring in some new gamers and enjoyers! Also the new heart of chernobyl coming in September will spark up stalker a ton. Amazing video and as always great stuff!
I've been watching you for years and this is one of the games I've played you covered and my fav video so. love you keep up the work!
[44:31] American here. Please say "Yo-sem-my-tea" Sam to honor his memory.
Great video btw.
he finally made a video on stalker!
Bro ngl your channel is one of the greatest ones ive seen in a VERY long time
Keep up the FANTASTIC work your doing man❤
And one thing...
Manhunt 2 video when?
HELLOOOOOOO CHEEKI BREEKIIIIIII !!!!
*HARBASS INTENSIFIES*
Best comment I've ever read.
OMG it's been four months since he uploaded this! I can't wait for his next upload
SPOILER
In the GAMMA modpack, if you ask for the zone to disapear, the game crashes with a text message simply saying "wish granted"
I just saw your post about your "Darkness" videos. I hadn't gotten a chance to see them yet, but if they're anything like your other work, they're fabulous!
I don't have cash to burn, but i wanted to send you at least a little love and encouragement!
Thank you for what you do--it's engaging, well-edited, and intro'd me to a lot I'd never have heard of--or explored--otherwise!
Hang in there!
Thanks dude, the super is very generous and the kind words much appreciated.
The videos is back up now at least, hopefully there won’t be anymore problems!
I genuinely thought I was tweaking and imagined u making a whole video
He did make a 3h video about the darkness video games but he had to take the video down
9:33 Why did you have to call me out like that
PLEASE do a video talking about The Darkness! I don't care for the second one, but the first one is a piece of fine art.
dude, you're quite an awesome combination of nostalgia and proper presentation of our old games, u cool keep rocking
