This is how music should be played. Like a conversation of all the things we go through without words, just vibrations absorbing and reflecting ideas - Beautiful you, Beautiful me ❤️
Adore this SO MUCH ♥ Arturo hangs with THE BEST people!!! This is heavenly superb felt by these two brilliant artists....LOVE LOVE LOVE Cory Henry and of course the most amazing trumpeter EVER Arturo Sandoval!! I'll never forget watching him live at Bayside in Miami to a packed house of adoring fans!!
I don't care what faith back ground you come up in or if you don't have a faith base at all. You have to admit that Amazing Grace is a powerful, soul moving song. Really makes the soul cry out for something deeper than ourselves. For me It's Jesus Christ. Love Y'all. Good job bro's
Wow! What an honor to watch him shed that out in real time with Arturo Sandoval. It just shows that Corey is like and onion. there is so much beautiful music to come from that brother. The Grammy's won't be able to hold him.
I have never seen something so amazing, magical, incredible and so beautiful in my life. I know how good Cory is and he never surprises me. But this one is out of this world. Between him and Arturo, taking turns, so naturally, the whole thing is just so amazing. God bless these men.
Is that hurb freakin Albert ?? Gotta be ? I wondered what happened after A & M may be the most or only legit label or damn close .. how many greats have you helped I've been bless to encounter personally .. thank you ..bless you brother ..
Arturo is someone who knows how to respect many musicians. His humble and warm personality is revealed in his music, and his beautiful tone is that of Havana's beaches, longing for freedom. God bless Arturo.
My friend Eddy banks who worked security on that so cute campus by the end .. wondered if he was ms banks rapper artist's father but in any case Eddy was one and main founder of Stax records as in the concert watts stax .. Isaac Hayes Barcays days the real funk on a massive scale .. and I gotta say my very first recording session at 16 some years old still fresh of the boat was as a bass player for this man .. had never been in a recording studio and this was somewhere in the hood very under the radar on all level but had what was needed to lay some thick groove .. only a drummer and I where there with him trying to express his vision and we only did two tales live .. second one a little tighter was the cut and I got a rep From day one as a one to two takes max thanks to that under mentioned and under celebrated if at all when having contributed so much to street music and funk in general it's damn ridiculous .. I laid bass lines in studios from that day on almost /25 years straight til studio themselves were closing down due to accessibility to record for everyone at home on lab tops so all kids could have a chance thank God .. I lost most of my income based on studio work but fair trade I thought for all the ones who otherwise never would had the chance to even hear a song they wrote or a beat or groove they heard unless signing half their lives away to some label and get shelved for their music never to see the light either to shitty to make it or to good and therefore a threat to their already existing artist therefore sort of on the bench til their artist crapes out or left or got a following themselves playing shit clubs days in days out at $50. A pop til the world paid attention enough for the label holding their life to give em a chance. Personally as a studio cat wanting to stay independent and free I would have a chance to even get any record credit may be for my first decade of studio work .. and heard myself on Kay day or 106 at lest once a day if I turned on the radio ...before internet you could genius vertiuoso such as this guy never heard of for most his life and so many simply never heard other than in their neigbouhood church ...Amen thank god. It has changed but at the same time to many forgot where they got it from ( church ) where the roots always will remain .. i pray to God they do ..
@1:30.... How many times y'all figure my man has played this song? And still, even for him, the thought of the song sticks out of him every now and then.
That breath that Arturo gave just after the ending, it was like, his last breath, as if he was thinking, " yeah... if I died right now, it would be alright.."
Wait when did this happen. Arturo lives five houses away from me and away from Phil Ehart founding member and drummer for Kansas. Omg. How did I miss this???
does anyone have an idea about the brand of the second horn ( 5:35 ) ? I think it's a flugabone (Marching baritone) but I cannot be more precise (brand, mouthpiece lol... )
Cory has mentioned Bill Evans as being a part of his influence. However, everyone knows that Cory has been influenced by Gospel every since he was 3 yrs old able to play!
If you guys didn't know, the piano that Cory is playing belonged to Oscar Peterson Arturo said that during a segment of the live performance
What an honor to play on it
@@mauricecotton1460 absolutely!!
Oh my.... Can you imagine owning that thing? So crazy! Glad it's being played by another great musician here.
I wish I can buy chick's mega Yamaha Grand piano
wow...my introduction to jazz as an 9yr old...uncle oscar
the fucking TONE coming through that mellophone - even through a live video compress into a youtube upload - was PURE.
Every time this man sits down at a piano he gives me something I have to replay many times over. Brother has Otherwordly talent and creativity
yes.
Oh man, the way CH takes the step back when Arturo starts playing. Just solid support, zero ego, come up in church playing. So good to hear and see.
Agreed.....humility always honorable
Cory is an Insanely talented musician who plays with soul.
"water is wet"
lol. good alternative to "no shit sherlock" @@pitinhabitant

My heart! When Mr Sandoval joined in. Oh my.😄
Arturo is someone who knows how to respect many musicians. His humble and warm personality is revealed in his music, and his beautiful tone is that of Havana's beaches, longing for freedom. God bless Arturo.

It never gets old....I love that version he played a couple years ago on the Hammond B3.....insane.....
Merci. Vraiment. Merci
Oh Man ! That was so smooth!

Hermoso!!!
That breath that Arturo gave just after the ending, it was like, his last breath, as if he was thinking, " yeah... if I died right now, it would be alright.."
All we’re missing is MILES DAVIS appearing from stage left trumpet in hand. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Yes Lawddddd!!!
This cat at 3:46 though ... haha.
Just incredible
I'm shocked the piano didn't burst into flames during his run at 4:46
Wait when did this happen. Arturo lives five houses away from me and away from Phil Ehart founding member and drummer for Kansas. Omg. How did I miss this???
Why does where you live have anything to do with this?....just asking.
Wow!
Not too much moves me..But, that did.."BEAUTIFULL!!!!"

That's it, I'll never play amazing grace again on the piano....😁

does anyone have an idea about the brand of the second horn ( 5:35 ) ? I think it's a flugabone (Marching baritone) but I cannot be more precise (brand, mouthpiece lol... )
I came for Chris Starr. Where he at?
Don't see the big deal...Arturo and I do "A Closer Walk with Thee" every time he's over at my place.
🥺
He seems like he has been listening to Bill Evans lately 😂😂😂
lol he sounds straight gospel
The first few bars you could hear some Bill Evans’ voicings...
@@benjaminmagambo3849 maybe, but the gospel sound takes from jazz and classical piano.
Bill evans doesn’t play like this lol
Cory has mentioned Bill Evans as being a part of his influence. However, everyone knows that Cory has been influenced by Gospel every since he was 3 yrs old able to play!
👍brill!
很享受
I never get tired of it either
where did you get these recordings?
this was a twitch stream a couple weeks ago, these are just screen recordings from that
Why would one dislike this?
Can someone tell me what chord he plays at 1:58 ? Is it a dimished chord acting as a substitution for something ?
Sounds like B, D, Eb, F. He slides to the D note from C#, though.
13b9
He has me making them ugly faces
Sooo Jesus Molina and Cory Henry have played for Arturo. I would like to see Jacob Collier swing by and play. That would be epic
May be it isn't herb ? I dont know ? The accent and all ?
Eddie Murphy. What a multi-talent!
6:18 u are mexican i know!
