My fiance just got back from Afghanistan. Missing a leg because of a bomb. He got back on memorial day. He proposed a day later. We are getting married in December.
i am in the army....i was told to listen to this song, it takes a lot to say goodbye to family and friends you love not knowing for sure if you will make it back...but the love and support is what helps us get thru...god bless america, and god bless all of us soldiers fighting for this country.
My cousin just recently died on Tuesday from an IED while serving in Afganistan.. This song is SOOO HIM!!!!!! I miss you Jeffrey Lee. Your forever my hero!!! ♥♥ Can't wait till we meet again!
I cry every time i listen to this song, I use to listen to it with my brother. We had it playing the night before he deployed and he never came home. R.I.P Bro i love you and i miss you. Like if you know the feeling.......
This song reminds me of my friend David who was killed in a bombing in Afganistan. It happened last year and it's still hard to believe I won't be able to see his smiling face and his great personality, but I always remember that he loved his country and did it for me and my freedom and I can't thank him enough for that.
I am US Marine and this song made me cry i had a friend i went all through high school with and ended up serving with him in Iraq I feel so sad for his mom and dad I made it back home and he did not make it back I miss you Ryan Semper Fi we will never for get you once a Marine always a Marine
I am beyond blessed to still have my brother in law Felix Alvarez Jr, who has had to go to Afghanistan not once but twice and is still alive. He is without a doubt my hero. I'd also like to say thank you to all the people who fought in the war, and rest in peace to all the hero's that died fighting for us. God bless America.
this song is something that would just make a soldier cry because i listened to it and it did i had to many friends die over in iraq and if you want to be one when you grow up i must tell u that war is hell and that no one prays for world peace more then a u.s. soldier

Wow, I'm 15 years old and this reminded me of so many family members and kinda of what its like to be in the military and what you have to think about. I want to go into the Army Rangers when I get older. This sent the chills down my spine.
I'm joining the armed forces in a few months. My girlfriend said she would wait for me to get back. Always makes me wonder about the kind of hell she'll go through if I get deployed and don't make it back every time I hear a song like this. I'll be fighting to make it home to her, for sure. Can't help but cry after these, though.

I needed this today. Sometimes I just, ya'know forget about what our soldiers have done for us and I take lofe for granted. These men and women die for us. For people they don't even know because their sense of honor and courage are greater than the avarage person. Words can't even express the gratitude I feel towards the soldiers who are willing to bear that cross for me, but I can try. Thank you with every fiber of my being for what you do. You deserve the best. Thank you and please be safe.
