We had recently lost a. Fellow friend, a fellow brother in blue in the spring... I cant tell you how hard it hit us all... this song makes me cry so hard. We were out hunting for turkeys, the thing our fellow Zach loved to do. His passion was hunting. He loved it. I'll never forget it. We were listening for gobblers when we heard the sound that made our hairs on our neck stand up, sirens. Not even 3 miles from us, he crashed... we heard it all from less than 3 miles away. We knew something was up. So we left our hunting spot to find out, as we got to our car, it was then that we got the call. Our friend died in the accident on his way home from working night shift. It was the first time I'd seen my SO, cry.... we all cried....

I am alright with that my friends died in that uniform and they served in Iraq and Afghanistan and I have now got ptsd (post traumatic stress disorder) this dose not mean just to you. Im following in my uncles foot steps. He was the chef of our local dept and passed in 2012. My whole family is either firefighter or military. This song really touches home

I was adopted into a white home. And my dad is a police officer. He retired right before the high rise of fallen officers due to the hatred caused by blm and other’s movements. He came out of retirement now works as a SRO officer. But once the school year is over he’s going back to the streets. I didn’t see that brown man on the screen I saw my dad. I’m so glad for all the years he came home. You don’t realize any minute it could be a family member whose risking there lives for our country. I signed up for the military in 2016, my senior year of high school. Left for the military in 2017. Witnessed a fatality from about 10 feet away. A guy doing his job, a job he loved more than anything. Ill never forget him or the men i currently serve with. This song means the world to service men and women everywhere, at home and abroad.

This is how I was raised. I will be in the Marines because my cousin was in the Navy, my moms a teacher, my entire dads side of the family are firefighters, my entire moms side was police officers. I'm incredibly proud of where I come from.

He will never know how much his baby girl would still need him. Even though I was just a baby then. A few years back we mourned the loss of a firefighter who drowned trying to recover a dead body in the lake that year firefighters suffered loss from the air that was faulty a few died from it guy got caught on something and tried to get one of his companions attention but was to murky and the two that made it reached the surface they got that medical condition of coming up to fast without stopping

I'm not a paramedic, but I work with them every shift as a ff. They have one of the most thankless jobs and often get forgotten about with the police, military and firefighters. Medics, EMT's and emergency services communicators/dispatchers... You are also appreciated.

I was adopted into a white home. And my dad is a police officer. He retired right before the high rise of fallen officers due to the hatred caused by blm and other’s movements. He came out of retirement now works as a SRO officer. But once the school year is over he’s going back to the streets. I didn’t see that brown man on the screen I saw my dad.

A few years back we mourned the loss of a firefighter who drowned trying to recover a dead body in the lake that year firefighters suffered loss from the air that was faulty a few died from it guy got caught on something and tried to get one of his companions attention but was to murky and the two that made it reached the surface they got that medical condition of coming up to fast without stopping

I'm tired of people hating on police and veterans. These people sacrifice their life, they risk losing their lives their loved ones so the world could be a better place. And It bothers me to see people sit for the pledge or want the police defunded because they are a thin skin who can't accept the way things are.

I agree with you. No one should hate policemen, veterans, firemen, active military, EMT's, paramedics. They are doing very dangerous jobs. They put their lives on the line every time they go out on a call. We should be thankful that they do what they do! I pray for them each night asking God to send his Angels on each call! I’m a correctional officer, we lose so many brothers and sisters not only in the walls and fence but those who went to the street like I’m trying to do about to finish up doing crossover. I’ve lost a few within the past couple years The song definitely helps me to ventilate my emotions in a way that doesn’t affect everybody else

I'm not a paramedic, but I work with them every shift as a ff. They have one of the most thankless jobs and often get forgotten about with the police, military and firefighters. Medics, EMT's and emergency services communicators/dispatchers... You are also appreciated.
@@christrombley1498 I also was just about to mention EMS, I'm a firefighter as well and want to make sure they aren't always forgotten. They probably help more people day in and day out than any other first responder. Glad to see you mentioned dispatcher as well, I myself did forget them. They deserve more recognition then they get.

Just got back from deployment myself about 3 weeks ago. Was in Afghanistan for a couple months. Met a lot of great people over there. I pray they all come home safe as I did. Folks don't understand how much a simple welcome home means.
