  • Acrylic Modelling Paste is a lightweight thickening medium that, when added to acrylic, increases the body of the paint. It can be used to make a hardening coloured paste that you can apply with a palette knife or brush to a board or canvas. Because it is lightweight, you can use it on a canvas without having to worry about buckling. You can also paint it directly onto a surface and then carve it with a blade, sand it and paint over it. Whether mixed into or used under your paint, Acrylic Modelling Paste is a useful addition your acrylic paintings.

I knew it! Another craft my ADHD will fall in love with! Specifically sculpting as wood is beautiful but too hard for my weak hands. Amazing!

Wow some masterclass... I knew I should have did a drive by... also, SpamBAT I agree with the ADHD bit... I have to buy most everything I see even though I am still on my 10th paintings... I have OIL Paint Sets I don't use anymore cause of the toxic chemicals in most of them... Happy Crafting..

Is it ok to use modeling paste without applying gesso on the canvas?

À few questions please : how durable is the result? Like clay? And can it be coloured with winsor and newton professional watercolours? Thanks in advance! 🤗

Acrylics mix with acrylics. It dries like an acrylic polymer emulsion. You can experiment with watercolor yourself to find the result. It's probably going to be more expensive than using acrylics. Water colors are a pigment in a gum arabic. Acrylics are a pigment in an acrylic polymer emulsion.

Not sure if this is serious or not, but Use whatever colors you like or go real and use refernece of flowers based on their colors. Learn to mix them to get the colors you need.
